"I don't really understand your language much, I don't know how to compare the two. But I think you speak very clearly, especially considering this isn't your language," Yumi said, "I think your voice is perfectly fine, it's yours after all right?" she added with a smile as she brushed her hair back behind one ear, "Compared to when we first met you've come a long way, I'd almost even say you've always known our language now. If you keep this up you're going to be fluent in no time!" All it took was some dedication and hard work, same could be said of anything really. Strength, health, speech, skills, anything you wanted could be gotten if you put the time into it; after years of learning martial arts Yumi was certain she knew almost all there was no know back on Earth, and being her passion she couldn't be happier about it.

Language was something Yumi had a basic grasp on, enough to at least discuss it. When T'charrl brought up his portals and distances she was utterly lost, barely even to offer a hypothetical let alone actual explanations for anything. Hearing his explanation as to how it worked only served to confuse her even further as she hadn't a clue anything like that was even remotely possible. "Remove... Your spirit...? So it's like an out of body experience then..." she mused aloud, trying desperately to wrap her head around the concept. So he was dead in a way yet not dead, it sounded very strange to her. Scratching at one of her ears she exhaled through her nose before giving her shoulders a shrug, unable to even remotely understand the process. "Well however it works it helped us out a lot, that's all that matters. And so long as it doesn't hurt you by doing it too, of course," Yumi said with a smile, getting up from her seat and raising her arms up above her head in a stretch. "Meal's done for me, I think I'll go for a short walk while the others finish."

"Huh... Yeah I guess you really don't do it that often huh? Sorry buddy, not fair for me to expect you to be perfect at it," Takeshi apologized with a sheepish grin, chuckling before snatching up the last piece of food and tossing it back into his mouth, "Mmm... You know... Come to think of it we usually eat over a fire or whatever anyways don't we? Guess there's no reason to need a fork then." Or they had things like fruit, food which you ate with your hands. If he was going to obsess over Shu being cleaner maybe he should carry a towel or something with him, instead of putting it all on the little guy. Seemed more fair that way didn't it? Wondering what the commotion was on the other end of the table he shrugged at Shu's question, looking past his brother to see why Viral was all sulking. June was on about a nap or something it seemed like, was she trying to get him to sleep. "Uh... Well if he's taking a nap then we can do whatever we want, yeah? Which I guess means..." They SHOULD work on some of the things bothering Shu, but every time he brought that up as an idea the kid became upset. "I've got something in mind, but it's a surprise, okay buddy?"

"Then we'll find something to make a cover! Or if none of that works you can sleep upstairs on one of the beds, I'm certain there were skylights in the bedrooms," June recalled as she placed a finger on her chin. Or was that in the family room? Regardless there would be somewhere for Viral to sleep even if it wasn't outdoors as she'd originally planned. Taking a glance down the table she saw everyone more or less finished with their meals, and that meant they could be ready to move along any moment now. "If everyone's finished with their lunch then we should go back to the house," June announced suddenly, smiling as she got up from her seat, "Just um... Well just to let the food digest, it's not a good idea to go running around on a full stomach. We should all go back and sit down for a little while, then you can do as you please." If she said they were going back to let Viral sleep he'd become angry, and if he became angry then he'd probably not sleep purely out of spite, that or not wanting to seem weak. Come to think of it he wasn't too different from a teenager in some ways she was realizing, dealing with him being a precarious balancing act.
"Ah... This is heavenly. It makes you forget what we're in the middle of..." Ulyssa said dreamily, a placated expression on her face as she sank further into the water. With only her face now above the surface she floated on upon her back, gazing up at the slowly darkening skies. "I think we did rather well today, all things considered. And honestly some of our partners might be... Difficult, but I think it's safe to say we've done well with this team. So long as we don't wring each other's necks this should suit us just fine." And most importantly it should suit her and her goals. Sure there may be more capable allies to be had, but given the random chance of who she could have found these three weren't bad.

She might have been liable to doze off then and there had not the sound of a cough roused her from her daydreaming. Immediately becoming alert Ulyssa shifted to wade water and looked around the clearing, shocked to find both Soren and Owyn present. Feeling her face then turn a brilliant shade of red she quickly got over her embarrassment when instead anger took over, gritting her teeth and storming towards the edge of the pool. Before she could so much as get a word out however a green blast rocketed past her, smacking Owyn into an adjacent tree and right onto his rear. Eyebrows raising in surprise Ulyssa looked back to Lyra who was now hid in the water again, clearly responsible for that attack.

"Never mind look at us, if you so much as think about what you saw and you two will end up as Grimm bait, understood?" Watching Lyra storm out and get her clothing she followed suit, satisfied to find her clothes were mostly dry from her swim earlier. Using her coat for a towel she quickly wiped herself down, laying it out once again to dry before sliding on her uniform as quickly as she could. Her clothing was disheveled and some crass clung to the back, not to mention her hair was still dripping wet and would likely be an unruly mess tomorrow. Beauty was scarcely a real issue out here, yet she couldn't help but fret over it. "You two are pigs for coming over here like that, absolute pigs. If you had half a mind you might have looked before you even got here, given us the privacy we deserve," Ulyssa began, scowling as she stood before the two boys, "I'm beginning to question if we can count two lechers among our teammates."

"Ulyssa, it was an honest accident, I swear. We didn't try to peek or anything," Soren explained, sighing as he finally removed his hand from his eyes, keeping his back to the girls. "And we'll gladly prepare dinner, only seems fair since you got camp set up." If it meant they weren't going to get their throats slit while they slept he would gladly do whatever was asked of them.

"Good! And that means skinning, gutting, and... Whatever else goes into preparing a meal! See that it's done soon, we're hungry!" Ulyssa snapped, glancing over to Lyra and smiling satisfied before nodding her head. Well they had been rudely interrupted during their alone time, but now they were getting a meal out of it and had to do none of the work. Perhaps not quite an even split but she'd take it. "We're decent now by the way, you can stop staring at the insides of your eyelids. And by the way, we sleep on separate sides of the fire tonight, I don't want either of you perverts anywhere near me."

Nodding his head slowly Soren rolled his eyes and went over to the two boars, grabbing a hind leg on each and hoisting them up to drag. "Of course, whatever you say Ulyssa. You two just make sure the fire is going when we finish, I'd rather not have to wait with uncooked steaks in hand." Glancing back at the girls briefly he met Lyra's gaze and offered her a small smile, turning back then and heading the way they had come. "Come on Owyn, we can't clean these in the camp, it's too risky. Back into the woods." They shouldn't need to go far, a few dozen meters should do just fine and keep any scents from dragging beasts to the camp itself. They should see to setting up some kind of perimeter somehow too, albeit shy of a concrete wall he wasn't sure what they could do when it came to Grimm.
Ulyssa was close to pointing out the metaphorical nature of her comment but seeing the revelation on Lyra's face she spared her the embarrassment. "It could go either way really. It could lure some Grimm too, or even predators that are especially hungry," she pointed out as she looked at the charred remains again, walking over and placing a hand at her nose as she nudged it with her foot. "If there are other Grimm they might come here to take territory, some can be very territorial like that, almost like wolves." She didn't know enough about the nature of Ursa to really make a judgement, she would need to go back to her books and study a little more. Even if its corpse should bring other Grimm about they would be fine so long as they were well out of its territory.

"What? Are you so astonished that a girl cares she's dirty? Or perhaps you're just so unaccustomed to being around women you simply didn't know," Ulyssa jabbed with a smirk, rolling her eyes as he gave her excuses for being slower. "I was joking Owyn, relax. And they were only sticks, it's not as though I was asking you to carry a tree. I know from now on though if I need anything physical done to go to Soren though." Glancing over at the other boy he gave a look that screamed 'Don't drag me into this', to which she giggled and left it at that. They should keep at it and get camp settled still, something Soren was quick to bring up and even go as far to delegate duties. She had no problem with that, carrying a dead animal wasn't going to help her current state of distress any. "Splendid idea. Lyra and I will find us a suitable camp, and you can fetch the food. Do try not to get lost boys, we've had enough excitement for the day."

She could say that again, they had killed perhaps near a dozen Grimm already and the sun was still high in the sky. Hard to tell with all the canopies obscuring his view, but if Soren had to take a guess he would say it was roughly just past noon, one at the latest. Wonderful time to forget his watch. Before wandering off with Owyn he waited a moment to see which direction the girls left in, wanting at least a general idea of where to travel to. Seeing them break off simply in the opposite direction he nodded to himself, taking the lead and letting Owyn follow suit. "If you prefer I might be able to carry both boars, or at the very least drag them," Soren explained as he glanced over his shoulder, "It would be safer if one of us is ready to fight, we still might attract something."

Lyra seemed to have some sense of where they were going, more so than Ulyssa did. Letting the Faunus take the lead she kept a careful ear out for any movement or signs of Grimm, perhaps a silly endeavor given her friend's senses. Wandering about for some time yielded little results, and like her friend she swore they had passed the same point several times; on a whim Ulyssa had notched an 'X' into a tree, and they did manage to double back across it one time. Just as her patience was wearing thin however they managed to find just what they needed, and what a lovely spot as well. "I think this will do just fine. We should be careful because its the only water source, but we should be safe here," she determined with a nod, "If we place a fire say... Just by the waterfall, then we've got that at our backs to protect us, the pool acts as a barrier as well, which leaves only two potential directions for attack." One couldn't be too cautious when around Grimm, they needed as much protection as possible.

With so many trees around it was a simple matter of gathering firewood, and in just moments the girls had managed to create a bonfire suitable for preparing their meals; considering the boys had to find them as well it would serve as a smoke signal as well, provided they could see it with all the trees around. With that taken care of Ulyssa was more than ready to relieve herself with a bath no matter how cool the pond water might be. With her clothing still on she waded waist deep into the water, figuring she would rinse them off before removing them. Satisfied she'd washed as much grime from her outfit as she could she laid them out in the grass by the fire, and wearing nothing but what she was born with she waded back in, gasping as the water nipped at her skin as she sank down to chin level. Cool yes, but pristine and clean, just what she needed. After a few minutes she began to warm up too, able to sink back and float in the middle of the pool idly. "Heavenly..."

While the girls saw to their arduous task of taking a bath Soren and Owyn were making their way towards the camp, boars in tow. After some fussing with how to transport them it was decided to simply hoist one over their shoulders, with Soren taking the larger of the two. If his body wasn't aching before it most certainly was now, and were it not for the smoke signal giving him a little push he'd perhaps have dropped it then and there. "Really should have... Fashioned some kind of sled..." he muttered aloud, turning his head to wipe sweat from his eyes on his sleeve, "Back home we would do that... Use branches and rope to make a sled, then pull whatever we caught on it. Certainly easier than this." And they would be sleeping on the ground tonight, he would be terribly sore after all of this. Perhaps there was a body of water nearby, he could use that to cool off and let his muscles relax some.

Well there was water luckily, and even better was it was immediately beside their camp. A roaring fire for the boars, plenty of cover from any would be predators, this would do just perfectly. Allowing himself a small smile Soren approached the fire and finally set down his quarry, leaning back some and cracking both his back and shoulders in the process. So the camp was here, as was a roaring fire, as was... The girl's clothing? Noticing the sets of clothes laid out in the grass by the fire he blinked a few times, furrowing his brow and chancing a glance towards the water. There, much to his dismay, were both Lyra and Ulyssa, partially submerged in the water with the latter glaring up at him. Immediately his face burned a brilliant red, and with an uncharacteristic flailing he hastily turned away, coughing awkwardly and trying to silently convey it to Owyn who had yet to notice.
"Well you certainly don't annoy me, you never have. I really enjoy talking to you actually. Everyone has their own... Unique way of talking, it's a quirk that makes us who we are! Takeshi has that tick, Shu talks... Well he talks kind of like a little kid, and I always pause whenever I'm talking. It's little things like that which you notice after a while, everyone has it. A certain tone, words people use a lot, those sorts of things." It was similar to how T'charrl said he looked different, which he did. If everyone was exactly the same, spoke and looked the same, the world would be a terribly boring place. The only way a difference annoyed her in any regard was if someone was bothersome with it, or if they lauded it over you or played it up to get sympathy. Expecting everyone to be humble or happy with themselves was asking a lot and she understood that, but it would certainly make things a little easier. "But when you think about it... Where is Otherworld? How far away is that from everything?" Yumi asked thoughtfully, tapping the butt of her fork on the table, "It could be further than we've even traveled and still you made a portal there. How would that make sense though? You can open one far, far away, but not next door?"

June pursed her lips when Viral again refused her idea, looking down at the table as she then bit down on her lower lip in thought. There had to be something she could say to get him to rest, some way he would be okay with it. So he didn't want to sleep in public, okay, what if they went back to the house then? Granted the yard there wasn't all that big for these kids, but they didn't have to keep to the house anyways. If they went off to have fun then she could stay home while Viral slept, give him privacy all the while. "There's always a way, you just haven't found it yet," she suggested optimistically, "Maybe... Before you try to train and get strong again you need to be comfortable with the simple things? Eating, sleeping, you can't do a whole lot if those are giving you trouble right?" Sitting upright in her seat June slammed her fist into her hand, a determined smile on her face as she looked at Viral brightly. "That's what we'll do! We'll go back to the house, I'll keep everyone out of the back yard and you can sleep outside, we'll even set up a hammock!"

Who knew watching someone try to use a fork could be so nerve wracking? Maybe nerve wracking wasn't the right word, but seeing Shu try to eat with the utensil definitely strung Takeshi up a bit. The little guy was trying no doubt but he was about as capable at it as he himself was at swinging in trees. "I mean... Yeah, yeah you did it, but it's... I don't know, could use some work, you know?" the older boy asked before shaking his head, smiling and giving a dismissive wave, "You can eat how you were buddy, it's fine. I just wanted to see if you remembered how to do it was all, good job." No sense in forcing him into doing something he clearly wasn't comfortable with, probably only going to make even more of a mess if they did that.
"Oh... Oh right, sorry! Cotton candy is... Uh well it's fluffy candy, it's sweet and its all fluffy, and it just melts as soon as you put it in your mouth. We'll have to try some when we visit Earth again," Yumi said eagerly, smiling before reaching out and patting her friend's arm, "I understood you well enough, don't worry." It was a little hard talking about anything with T'charrl since there was so much he'd never seen. All the more reason to go back home eventually right? If he wanted to go with them that was, he could want to go home too when all was said and done. Smiling as T'charrl seemed to want to travel more Yumi gave a nod of her head, eating up a bit more before speaking. "I think you should, even if it's not with us. When everything calms down I want to visit some of these worlds again, and ones I never got to see. We should plan to do that, if you're wanting to travel with friends that is. It'd be nice to go somewhere and not have to worry about fighting all the time for a change."

Takeshi had been trying to let Shu eat as he was, but watching him probably get all sticky and gross from using his fingers was a bit much. He carried his brother around, they played and they even shared a bed most of the time, he couldn't possibly do that if Shu was going to be messy from meals. Smiling a bit reluctantly when his sibling resigned to do as asked he started to eat again, pausing when he noticed how Shu was going about it; there were prongs on a fork to stab and pick up food, so why was he scooping it up like a spoon. "Hey uh... Buddy? You're going about it all wrong," he chuckled, poking his own food and showing Shu, "See? Like that, you can get a big piece if you want to, but that's what those points are for. Just be careful you don't bite down on the fork, you know? It'll hurt your teeth." Actually in that case maybe it was better Shu used his fingers? No, he had to learn how to use utensils. With how he was going on about how he wasn't normal and felt different he should be trying right?

"Look at everyone here, if something happens it'll be stopped before it starts. Have some trust in your friends, they won't let you harm yourself or anyone else," June reassured, passing a plate of food to Viral in hopes he might eat. From what she understood he hadn't been eating much at all lately, she'd try to coerce him into having even just a few bites then. She didn't know what to suggest for keeping it down other than maybe eat slowly, it wasn't like he had to eat all that much. When the conversation took a turn for the dim she placed a hand on his back, trying to resist outright hugging him to comfort him. "So you were made to fight, no one can change that or take it from you," June began as she rubbed her son's back, offering him a small smile, "But it's up to you to decide what you do with that, not anyone else. If you're only good at fighting then fight, but fight for what's right. If you feel like you made mistakes then fix them now, you can't change the past but you can make up for it in the future. I don't know how you feel, I don't know if anyone here does, but I do know you don't like it. So let's try changing it then. And it starts with getting back into a routine," she added, her smile turning playful as she gave Viral's back a gentle rub, "That means taking a nap, even if its the middle of the day."
Yumi pressed her lips together when T'charrl corrected her, nodding once before putting on a smile again. "Oh... Well it melts in our mouth too, and food doesn't usually do that! Unless it's cotton candy, cotton candy will melt in your mouth." Now she wanted some cotton candy, darn. They hadn't been to a carnival in ages had they? It was just the sort of thing she was positive both Shu and T'charrl would absolutely adore. Even Viral might find something fun to do, perhaps the bell tower game. Yet another activity to add to their ever growing list of things to do on Earth. "I guess if it's not easy to get them then you wouldn't eat them, makes sense. But now you're with us, we can probably eat all we want!" Yumi said optimistically, "In fact there's still a lot of foods you haven't tried yet, like some meats, or pasta, or... A lot. If you're open to trying them we have a lot of food from Earth for you, see if you like them?" Not to stuff him up or anything but food was always nice, and where they would be traveling it was a good idea to find out if T'charrl even liked what they had.

"I won't get all muscly anyways, I've always eaten like this..." Takeshi said defensively, pouting seeing Yumi all but ignoring him and talking to T'charrl instead. How come she always had to pick on him huh? Resisting the urge to stick out his tongue childishly he resumed eating his meal, glancing at Shu to make sure he was eating too. Still using his fingers, so much for showing him how to use a fork and knife then huh? Smirking slightly he took another bite before grabbing his brother's hand to stop him, cringing inwardly feeling how slimy his fingers were. "Hey uh... Buddy? Remember how I showed you how to use a fork before?" he asked, grabbing his own and stabbing a piece of fish, holding it up to see, "You should try doing it this way, you know? I mean... Nothing super wrong with how you eat, just saying that it might be a little easier to use a fork." Not to mention with how they were often playing, or Shu grabbing onto him, he really didn't want his brother's hands to be all greasy or scummy from picking at food.

June didn't mean to embarrass Viral this much as she was only just trying to be helpful. Maybe he just didn't like her doing it in front of his friends, though that seemed like something a little kid would be more upset over. "Well having some food will help you think better, you need fuel for your brain," she teased playfully as she sat beside her son, easing the plate in front of him. "Who says it's too soon for a nap? I loved taking afternoon naps when I could. Just lie down in the grass somewhere in the sun, all of your troubles wash away and you relax, it's very nice!" In fact it used to be to Aito's chagrin that she would vanish on nicer days to find somewhere to walk, or lie down and enjoy the outdoors. She always loved it but rarely had a chance to experience being outside when with her father, now she took advantage of it whenever she could. But first to push home eating a little, something Viral still really should do. Picking up a piece of fish with her fingertips June popped it into her mouth, smiling and nodding at its flavor. "Try some, you don't even have to eat that much. All I'm asking is try a little, if you like it maybe you can eat more, or don't."
"You should try it T'charrl, it's good!" Yumi urged gently, smiling as she offered up a piece of fish. He hadn't eaten much earlier had he, just some fruit and not much else. Surely by now he was feeling hungry and ready for some real food, not the puree food they gave in hospitals. Watching as he accepted the piece she awaited his response, giggling when he commented on how strange it tasted. "It's a good weird though isn't it? We call that taste buttery, it melts in your mouth right?" she asked, slicing half of her serving up and placing it on T'charrl's plate for him, "It's good for you too! At least fish back home was really good for you, I'm not sure about the ones here though. I always try to eat some just because it's healthy though!"

"I just eat it because it's delicious!" Takeshi laughed, placing another big slice in his mouth and sighing happily at the flavor, "Fish was super cheap back home too, you could find it almost anywhere. Its softer and tastier than beef, its better for you than a lot of fruits and vegetables and there's a lot you can do with it!" He'd seen all sorts of ways which fish could be prepared in East City: fried, grilled, broiled, sauteed, breaded. He still didn't know what most of those meant but he remembered the tastes, and boy had they been good!

"But you need a balanced diet Takeshi, otherwise you're not getting everything you need," Yumi chided before taking up some of her vegetables, "Especially us where we're fighting and training all the time, it's especially important. A good diet, plenty of rest and a good regiment, it's not just a matter of eating steaks all day and lifting weights." Though to be fair she knew some people who did that, and sure they were muscle-bound but not much else. And being healthy was more than just being strong too, you had to take care of your immune system too. Pausing in her meal to sip at her drink, something which reminded her of a slightly bitter tea, Yumi smiled at Shu across the table and playfully kicked his foot beneath it. "That goes for you too Shu, I know you like fruit but you need to be sure to eat protein too!" she added, winking as she spoke, "Not as much as Takeshi though, he eats too much."

Takeshi might eat too much but Viral wasn't eating enough. While the rest of them enjoyed the meal he was just sitting there, staring blankly at the food but never making a move for it. Did he think he couldn't eat? Frowning in concern June grabbed a free plate and placed some fish and vegetables onto it, getting up from her seat and bringing it to the other end where Viral sat. "You should try and eat a little Viral, even if it's only a few bites," she suggested as she set the plate down, wearing a kind smile. It was only fair to him that he got to enjoy the food while everyone else was. And seeing how forlorn he was looking she simply couldn't sit by and watch him sulk. Placing a hand on his head without even thinking she gently stroked his hair back, going even as far to take his fork and slice the fish up into smaller pieces for him. "Sorry... I know you don't like when you get attention like this, but it's my job," June admitted with a laugh, setting down the fork and taking back her hand, instead sitting down beside Viral. "Are you tired? You can take a nap you know."
Taking down a building must be taxing on someone like Viral, and surely by now he'd worked up an appetite? Even if he only had a light snack it would be good, he should have something after all of that work. "Well... I changed my mind, and I figured while we're all here why not enjoy a meal together?" June suggested, watching as Viral climbed down and followed after him, "Then how about we eat and relax, and we'll see where things go from there?" If Viral didn't want to make any decisions then that was fine, he didn't have to. He'd just have to put up with whatever they all decided to do instead, he could always voice an opinion or change plans if he didn't like it then.

"No guns out here buddy, don't worry about it okay? No one's going to shoot at us while we're here," Takeshi reassured as he clapped Shu on the back and gave him a smile. This would have to be mentioned to Aito later for sure, that guy would know what to make of it. Even he could tell that thinking loud noises were guns was a pretty big problem for someone to have. Overhearing June's proposal for a meal he perked right up and nodded his head in agreement, his smile widening into a grin. "Hell yeah let's do lunch! I want something other than fruit!" he said before quickly looking over at Shu and T'charrl, "Er... Not that there's anything wrong with just fruit, but it's not the most filling, you know? Something like a big fish or some nice steak would be awesome right now!"

No one objected to getting more food, and really who would? After finding a restaurant still serving meals they helped themselves to some take out, several boxes of fish fillets, assorted greens, some fresh breads and several drinks in strange bottles. Takeshi and Yumi carried the food by the armfuls until a suitable spot was found, a small park with plenty of shade from the trees, and benches aplenty to sit at. Dividing out the boxes among one of the tables it was left to everyone to more or less help themselves, which Takeshi had no issue with. Grabbing what felt like a Styrofoam plate he grabbed a couple fish fillets, plenty of bread and a meager helping of the mixed greens before plopping himself down on the empty table.

"Oh boy, this looks good!" he said excitably while rubbing his hands, practically salivating as he prodded then at the fish, "This is what I've been waiting for!" They had some fish earlier, but those small portions were barely even an appetizer, this was a meal! With everyone else helping themselves he saw fit to just dig in, shoveling forkful after forkful of food into his mouth. With a gob full of food he paused and his eyes widened, squirming slightly before swallowing it whole and letting out a happy sigh. "It's so buttery! This fish is awesome!"

"It is really good, I'm surprised!" Yumi agreed, picking up a small piece and savoring it. Flaky, buttery, not too fishy, just perfect. If they were ever going to refill the ship's food stores they should do it here, she could eat this food forever. Even the vegetables were delicious, and while she had no idea what they were even she helped herself to plenty of food. Unlike Takeshi who thought an all protein diet was apparently okay she tried to keep it balanced, had to stay healthy with all of this traveling. Snatching up another piece of fish she smiled at T'charrl, offering the bit up for him to taste. "You should give it a try, you might like it!"
"Heh... Never would have thought I'd be breaking a princess out of her castle. Far cry from looting chests and boxes..." Could be fun though so long as they weren't killed doing it. Watching the shop keeper fetch a set of masks he examined them curiously, rather skeptical about what they claimed to be. Then again here they were in disguise now, he supposed that sort of magic shouldn't come as such a surprise. At this point after fighting these sorts of people and all the insanity they were undertaking nothing should come as a surprise. Raising an eyebrow as he watched the Salesman transform into a night he nodded once, finding it fascinating at how quickly the spell took effect. How did that kind of magic even work? It was as far removed from his water and healing magic as you could get.

As far as actually reaching the princess their best route had to be sneaking inside of the castle. While he'd never infiltrated anything quite so heavily guarded before Caelan thought himself good at finding hidden passages, it should be no different than the numerous tombs he'd encountered. Once they were inside the castle itself these masks should do the rest, it would be only a matter of finding the princess' room from there. It sounded simple, yet the shopkeep had one more final tidbit of information that suddenly made their task far more daunting. "Oh wonderful, our one trump card and it'll be useless against her, good to know," Caelan lamented as his shoulder slumped, eyeing the bag of masks with reluctance, "Still... If they get us inside we can figure the rest out as we go."

Seeing it as time to move along both he and Link moved to the door, following Regol's suit to the doorway. Link was a ray of sunshine as ever, and Caelan silently rolled his eyes before nudging the other boy in the arm. "Hey, we'll be fine. We fought that general and won didn't we? Plus you've probably been through loads of messes before, I know I have been. It'll take a lot more than this to do us in." They had disguises, and it wasn't as though they couldn't defend themselves. The only thing that even had him remotely uneasy was the woman Fiona, he could do without combat for a few days after the mess from before.
Yay princess! :D
