Yumi felt awfully self conscious right now, having things brought up that she would just as soon forget. Holding herself a bit she looked down at her feet, biting her lip as her ears folded flat against her hair, trying to hide a little better how unsettled she was. Thinking about just how different she could be now terrified her, she didn't want to be something entirely new. She wanted to be her, that was that. The ears were a big enough change as it was and were still taking some getting used to, and that wasn't even mentioning how most of her senses were now heightened as well. Coupled with her apparently razor sharp nails now she was pretty much a new being in her entirety, even if she didn't look that different. There was very much the worry that she could now transform herself and become a creature like Viral, something she couldn't properly control. Not being able to handle her own powers was a terrifying concept indeed.

"You're not a monster Viral... And neither am I. We're Beastman..." Yumi mumbled, frowning deeper as she fought with that concept. She wasn't a human anymore, no matter how she might think of herself as such. She was a Beastman now, the same thing that Viral was. Not that there was anything inherently wrong with being a Beastman, she had even mused over the very thing once or twice before. Being forcibly changed into one however was much too sudden, and the realizations that her life was now different as a result hit her hard. "If I thought I was a monster then I'd think you were one too, because we're the same now. Can we please just drop this though...? I don't want to talk about it..." Were Vegeta here he'd be very much trying to get them to talk it out. She could almost hear him chiding that keeping it in was only going to make things worse, and it was a good thing he was absent, otherwise she was liable to smack him silly for saying that.

Takeshi hadn't seen mountains either, Shu wasn't alone there. According to this alien however there were some near where they landed, only off in the other direction. While they could certainly go travel back it seemed a little redundant, going all the way there only to return here. So he figured that Viral and Yumi may want a little bit of action. Viral had been complaining about exploring this world anyways, so a battle should be just the thing to brighten up his day. The call went through instantaneously, and on the other hand was a hardly thrilled sounding Beastman. "Just bear with me, because this is going to sound kind of nuts. We found some of the natives here, a bunch of armadillo looking people. And turns out that they're worshiping some kind of god here, and the thing doesn't sound super friendly. We were going to go see it at first to show we can be trusted, some trial or something probably. But now we might be fighting whatever it is, save some kid from being sacrificed. They say its back in your direction, the mountain range that is, and we're kind of far off here. So... If you two are up to it maybe you want to go look into this? It's bound to be interesting at least."
Seen it, but still awesome :D
"O-Of course I think! What kind of question is that? I'm not Takeshi you know." How rude, Yumi most certainly thought things through while fighting. To suggest she did anything less was an insult. She had been taught by Viral after all to think through her battles, and she was doing just that the entire time. Still a bit defiant at the suggestion of using a weapon she quickly doubled back on her stance upon seeing the scratch marks in his arm. A little disbelieving she looked down at her hands, not able to fathom how she had caused that with just her fingers. Viral had some awfully tough skin, and she didn't exactly have claws or talons, so how in the world did she do that? Helping her friend to his feet nonetheless his next words made her cringe. "I... I don't know... I don't know what I can do now, okay?" Yumi shook her head, crossing her arms across her chest uncomfortably and moving her feet around nervously. "I haven't had a chance to see what I can do, and I don't know what more there is. I might... I don't know, maybe I can change like you. Maybe there's something in me, I don't know. Maybe it was naive to hope the only thing I had different were the ears... It was stupid of me..."

That was a bombshell if Takeshi had ever heard one. Their god took sacrifices, and child sacrifices if he understood right. Kind of difficult to tell in the alien's broken English, but he was sure he'd gotten the gist of it. So then they weren't super fond of the god either, mostly being under him out of fear more than anything else. That was awfully reminiscent of their father's rule over his subjects, and that just ticked the Saiyan off to no end. Following his brother's gaze to the child in question he knew they had to do something, there was no way they could let Tesuga just die. Shu was properly upset over the idea, they were going to have to do this for his sake too if nothing else. "Just tell us where to go and we'll deal with it. This god of yours doesn't deserve to stay here anymore if he's going to hurt kids."

The father was a little surprised how quickly these aliens had agreed to do this for them. They had absolutely no stake here and no reason to save Tesuga, yet they agreed to do so anyways. The notion of having his child not be taken away and eaten had him fair hopeful, maybe this would work. Smiling gratefully between the boys he bowed his head again, trying to show as much gratefulness as possible. "Thanks. Very thanks, much. The god... It sleeps in mountains. Far away, across fields. Not here, far from, that way," he explained, pointing back across the way they had come. "In mountains, not high though. Careful, god big. God strong, careful. If... Danger, run yes? No die, don't want. Save Tesuga another way maybe."

So they had to back track the way they had come by the sounds of it. Thinking back to their landing Takeshi couldn't think of a single mountain range that had been in view back then. If they were going then there was going to be quite a bit of walking to get there, hardly ideal. Then again... Maybe they didn't have to go. There were others who were probably closer who could do it, perfectly capable of doing so too. That gave him an idea, and without a word he stepped away from the others, pressing his scouter to turn it on. "Hey Viral, Yumi? We've got something, and we're going to need your help. How do you feel about mountains?"
Yumi blinked in confusion before frowning, giving Viral a funny look. "Cheated? I just attacked you, how was that cheating? I thought that was the point of training?" Then it dawned on her that she had used Ki, if only slightly to rebound from an attack. Okay, that was cheating, she'd give him that. Disappointed in herself she let out a little yelp as she was tossed off, sitting to the side and giving her friend an apologetic smile. "Okay, using Ki was wrong, sorry. But weapons, seriously? What do I have that are weapons?" Looking at her hands she held them up for Viral, raising an eyebrow incredulously. "Not a single claw, just my hands. Now unless you count me trying to scratch you as using a weapon I never used any. But... All the same I won't do it again." This was probably the end of training then, the Beastman definitely wasn't looking too keen to continue. That was a shame, they were just getting to the thick of it, it had begun to get exciting. Getting up to her feet Yumi offered a hand down to Viral to help him up as well. "You hit really hard, you know that? I'm probably going to have some bruises later now."

Takeshi's attempt to explain what a god was hadn't worked, and even left himself confused afterwards. He didn't really know any god, nor did he know a lot about religion. He supposed that once upon a time Kami might be considered a god, or Korin. Heck, as far as humans were concerned Dende was probably a god to them. But Dende was not the atypical kind of person one imagined a god to be like, as he wasn't exactly a force to be reckoned with. "Just think of them as people or things that know a lot, and are really powerful. And yeah, they probably can't be killed or something since they're a god. I don't know, it's complicated..." Takeshi mumbled, crossing his arms and sighing. "Fighting one in that case is going to be a real pain." An opponent that couldn't be slain, definitely a little intimidating. Not that they had the intent on killing anyone anyways, just those monsters if they happened to find some. Nonetheless they ought to look into it. Maybe this god of theirs could at the very least point them in the right direction.

"Of course I want to fight it! Don't you?" Takeshi asked Shu, smiling over at him. "I mean sure, maybe we can't kill it, but it should be a fun fight! And just because it's immortal doesn't mean its going to be super strong. Heck, we might even be leagues above it for all we know, which I guess kind of makes us like gods huh?" Now that was an interesting prospect, and a dangerous one. Not wanting to get his ego inflated over that the older boy looked down at the father alien, hoping to get some answers out of him. "Maybe you can tell us where your god is? We'll go through this trial or whatever to show we're trustworthy, and then maybe we can ask it some questions." And fight it too, if they were given the opportunity. A spar with a god, that was exciting.

"Cannot fight god, stupid child. God too strong, not defeated." Watching the Saiyan get a bit miffed over who knows what the alien backed off slightly, though tried to safe face by keeping himself upright. "If you want god, you get god. Not easy find, far away. Tell you where, but you go alone. Too dangerous, too far." A trek some few kilometers away in fact, a journey that would take him several days to make himself. Looking at the trio for a moment an idea crossed the alien's mind. It was a bit radical, and if it went poorly then it would backfire immensely, but it had to be worth the risk. There wasn't any other option for them anyways, this was their one shot. Having to actually ask a favor of these three was a little off-putting, but he'd do what was necessary.

"Your, Tesuga's friend... Friend yes?" the father asked, as if looking for confirmation. Walking over to Shu he paused for a second, dipping his head and closing his eyes as a show of respect towards the young Saiyan. "Son, in danger. Sacrifice, for god. No choice, make god happy. But... You save, yes? Defeat god, make spare, anything. Can't do, too weak, help. No gift to give, but thanks. Please?" These three had to be associated with the aliens before somehow, they were too similar not to be. Those ones had been strong, and it stood to reason these were as well. If anyone could beat the god then it was them. "Tesuga die if not, don't want. Save son, yes?"
He hates us ;n;
First a strong kick to initiate the fight, followed by a hard jab, an elbow, a kick. Yumi kept switching up her method of striking as she went after Viral, trying to make it impossible for him to know what she was doing next. It seemed to be working, she was getting past his defenses fairly often and managing to deal some decent hits. He wanted to train a bit more seriously after all, so she was going to treat this a little more like an actual fight. As one hit after another landed she noticed his guard gradually weakening and Viral was losing ground as well. With a last good strike she managed to topple him over this time, watching as he fell onto the ground. Hitting an opponent while down like this was just lowly, she didn't want to do that, certainly not with a friend. So rather than strike him again Yumi immediately pounced, landing on the Beastman with a small smirk. Putting her hands on his biceps and straddling his waist she tried to keep him pinned down, giving him no choice in the matter as best she could. "So, do I win now? Or do you want to keep going?" she mused, cocking her head to the side, an excited gleam in her eyes. "I'm having fun, I don't know about you though."

"T'charrl, trust us, we're taking you along because we want to. That's the reason for it, so don't think so low of yourself, okay? We're all friends here, that's why we're traveling together." Who would have thought that Takeshi of all people would be consoling someone. Everything he said though was true, and he meant every word of it. They were a team one way or another, and as a result friends, at least he liked to think so. Hardly the expert on friendship however he was mostly taking a stab in the dark, figuring friends ought to do things like this. It felt right, and it just seemed proper to not have someone around just for some use. After reassuring T'charrl a bit the Saiyan finally dropped down to join his brother, making a soft landing after a quick fall to stand next to Shu. Now, what were they talking about? He kept hearing the word 'god' being thrown around, so was there someone else here too? Watching as the child and mother hurried past them into the den he frowned a bit, wondering why they were scurrying off like that. No one was going to hurt them after all, and it wasn't as if that little hole was the most fortified place anyways. Heck, Shu had literally come in through the roof.

Takeshi listened to Shu carefully, not entirely sure what they should do. Looking into what these people called a 'god' could well spell trouble for them no doubt, especially when the father mentioned the god might kill them. For all they knew however this could well be just the thing they were searching for, and not following the lead would be silly. Smacking his own forehead when Shu bolted up and got lightheaded the older boy smiled, hefting his shoulders before scratching at his cheek. "I guess if it means these people don't hate us then we really should, yeah. It's not like we've got anything to hide, so I'm sure we'll be fine." Ah, now for the question about what god was. Like science and space travel it was just another thing that Takeshi wasn't overly versed in. He knew enough to offer some basic insight though, and that was all Shu really needed. "A god is like... Well... A god is like a king, basically. They rule over people and do things for them. And usually a god isn't, er... How to put this... Mortal? Like they can't be killed." Albeit if their supposed god was one of these creatures then it most certainly could be killed, they knew that first hand.

"Not that you kill god. Too strong, you weak. Our god strongest of all, yes." The father looked between the trio a bit worriedly, an expression of doubt crossing his features. If these three were anything like the ones before then maybe they could topple the god, it might be possible. It was a long stretch, to be sure, and risky. If it did work though then they would be all the better for it. The relationship with their god was complicated to say the least, as it could be both benevolent and malevolent, often both in short order. Looking between the Saiyans and Kaesstrian he let out a sigh, lowering his head and scratching at one of his ears. "Judge, yes? Can be judged, only by god. We show you, it judge. If good, you friend, if bad, you die. Yes?"

Takeshi was pretty confident this little god of theirs wasn't going to be killing anyone. Even if it was one of those monsters from before that didn't make it all that powerful, they could easily handle another or two. Maybe it was arrogance talking, but he was sure they didn't have anything to worry about. "That seems fair. If it's what we've got to do for you to trust us then fine, we'll do it." It was kind of a big decision though, taking on a god. Looking over at Shu and T'charrl he smiled sheepishly, wanting to get their input too. "That is if you guys are up for it. Don't want to drag you into a mess I jumped into."
"It's one thing to take advantage of an enemy Viral, but you're not an enemy! And besides, we're just doing this for fun..." Yumi thought it was all fun and games anyways. Viral was taking it a bit more to heart than she was, but of course he often did anyways. It wasn't her fault she felt bad for hurting a friend, she mused, lowering her guard a bit further. It would aggravate her friend to no end if she went through with it yet she figured stopping might not be a bad idea. If he hadn't healed fully after all then they could reopen a wound and cause damage, no one wanted that. Before she could utter so much as a single sound however Viral sprang into action again, raining down a flurry of fists yet again on her. Hardly ready for that she took the first hit to the head, being made to stumble backwards as she had her bearings knocked a bit loose. A second hit her stomach, and a third her head again, causing her to reel quite a bit. Raising her arms to block she took a few more blows, having her guard broken and ultimately being knocked down once again, swept clean off of her feet and falling onto her back. Those hits hurt, quite a bit, more than she'd figure sparring would. So Viral really wanted to get serious.

The thing with fighting, as Yumi had been told numerous times by instructors, was it was half physical and half mental. If your mind wasn't in it then your body was as good as useless, all the strength in the world did you no good if you couldn't use it. Now was pretty good example of that, she knew she had the strength but was lacking the will to use it. Viral wasn't, not in the slightest, and he seemed to want a good fight. Well, it was going to be difficult to put aside her concerns for him, but if this is what he wanted then she'd try to oblige him. Glaring at him for a second she rolled backwards, ending up on all fours and emitting a low growl sound, not entirely sure where it even came from. Then pouncing forward much like a feline she raked her hand down at the Beastman, trying to claw at him and make him back off. After that she would jump up and try to kick him, followed by a series of kicks and punches alike. So long as she kept Viral on the defensive she could avoid being struck again, and she was confident she had the speed advantage if nothing else.

Takeshi was watching Shu and the aliens interact, rather curious how his sibling was going to handle things. The big one that had shown up seemed awfully mad, his own scouter vaguely picking up some broken English that didn't come across at all as thrilled. His brother was holding his ground though, and the little guy he had been traipsing around with seemed to be on the Saiyan's side too. Engrossed in the scene below he almost didn't hear T'charrl, only catching just enough to know what was said. Looking over at the Kaesstrian with a slightly disappointed expression before smiling he reached over, giving T'charrl's forehead a light flick. "Of course we would have, what kind of question is that? We're not bringing you along because you're a tool to us you know. I mean sure, it's handy, but that's not why. You need training, and we can give it to you, so we decided to offer you to come along. That's the truth, I swear." Poor guy, hopefully he wasn't still thinking he was just here for convenience. T'charrl was among friends now, that was a simple as it got, hopefully he'd come around to see it that way.

Whatever the alien boy was prattling on about made the armadillo-man awfully confused. Evil things and monsters, what could he be talking about? Their world wasn't exactly thriving with terrifying beasts. Sure, their god could be a bit demanding, but it was hardly to the degree one might call him evil. "Evil here? No evil, wrong. Nothing rid of, wrong alien. Wrong." In spite of his aversion to this visitor his son was warming up to him for some unfathomable reason, not showing any caution towards the potential danger. This quite annoyed him, he felt like his child was going to be deceived and harmed by this alien. Hearing there were more with this one he looked up to the cliff, amazed to indeed see two more figures up there. One looked similar to the alien with them now, albeit a little different, and the other was completely foreign to him. He didn't like the looks of either of them, the unknown quite unsettling him. "Brother...? Friend? Nice... Say nice, but true? Don't know. Doubt." he remarked, frowning as he looked at his son. "Here, now Tesuga. Now."

Father was being awfully mean about all of this, but he didn't want to disrespect the man. Tesuga looked up at Shu once more, smiling before hurrying over to his parents' side, snuggling up against his mother. "Nice alien, nice. Don't hurt, he friend." the child repeated, nuzzling his head against his mother's legs as he wrapped his arms around them. "Sh... Shu, yes? Friend yes?" Then looking up at the cliff above and seeing the other two figures the child smiled, waving a claw up in their direction in hopes of bringing them down as well. "Other friends? Yes?" He was going to make all sorts of friends today, this was so exciting. Now there would be people to play with and feed him when his parents were busy!

Takeshi thought he was hearing things, but sure enough that little fella down below was calling for them. "Well, I guess that's our cue?" he mused, flashing T'charrl a smile and shrugging his shoulders. He'd not thought about getting involved, not really all that keen on meeting the natives just yet. It would be kind of hard to not do it now though, not to mention rude. Pushing himself forward he swung right off the edge of the cliff, falling right down to the ground and only just slowing his descent before hitting the dirt. The father backed off when he landed, not looking very excited at having another Saiyan in his presence. Offering a polite smile Takeshi put his hands up defensively, walking up only so he was at Shu's side. "Relax, we're friendly, I swear. We're not going to hurt any of you."

"Friendly... Could be lie, or truth. Not tell, don't know," the father mumbled, still not backing down from his stance. Looking over his shoulder at his wife and child he nodded towards the entrance, silently ushering them inside to their den as he remained outside. Two aliens to contend with, and possibly a third if the other came down. If they were indeed friendly then there would be no issue, they could all get along just dandy. If not then he'd have to fight... And that wasn't a prospect he was terribly excited at. "Believe you why? See god, yes? It judge you."
Yumi was quick to get back on the offensive after being knocked away, springing right up and answering Viral's punches with a flurry of kicks. Thanks to her extensive training with martial arts she was just as adept with kicks as anything else, and could deliver them in quick succession. The first one surprisingly enough connected, and from there she continued her little barrage. With a good many successful hits it didn't take long to overwhelm her friend, ultimately knocking him down onto the ground as a result. As soon as Viral had fallen she stopped, standing before him and bouncing lightly on the balls of her feet, holding her fists up at the ready. The Beastman took a moment to rise back up to his feet, and when he did he was holding his stomach, worrying Yumi a little. Lowering her fists she stopped moving about, standing steady footed and biting down on her lower lip uncertainly. "Are you okay...? I didn't agitate a wound did I?" she asked, immediately looking for some trace of blood beneath Viral's paw. "Should we stop?"

"Nah, you're not stupid. You made a mistake, everyone does. Hell, I made a bigger mistake than you did about a year ago, and I'm still paying for it. So... Really aside from you changing your mistake isn't all that bad. I mean everything worked out in the end right? The General was arrested, your people are going to be all the better for it. And you're out here with us, traveling around and seeing new worlds. I'd hardly call that a mistake." Plus once they trained T'charrl to control his powers they could see about getting him back to his old self. Once that happened, and it was going to one way or another, there would be literally no downside to what was done. Still watching his brother he spotted the new aliens, immediately noting how protective they were of the smaller animal. Must be their parents, Takeshi mused, smiling happily at the thought. Leaning over he rested his arms across his knees, watching Shu handle the situation below. It was doubtful there was a need for them to become involved, these creatures certainly weren't what they were looking for and hardly seemed imposing at all.

The father wasn't very thrilled at having his son with the alien, this one simply couldn't be trusted. There was no way of knowing who he was or if he was with those visitors from before, or he could be completely unrelated. Hearing Shu's reply about not harming them didn't totally settle his nerves, but the alien was going to have to take what he could get for now. Having his child becoming affectionate towards this thing in their home certainly complicated things. "Sky...? From sky like enemy, or from sky like gods?" There were an awful lot of things coming from the sky as of late, things they had never seen before. Why did there have to be so many strange beings coming into their homes and lives now? The gods were fine, they were helpful, but all these visitors were just plain annoying. "If you have home, go home. Not our home, not yours."

"He friend father! Friend! No hurt us, promise! Nice!" the child argued, tugging on Shu's leg again before finally letting him go and waddling over to the berries. Picking one up he smiled cheerfully, offering one up to the young Saiyan. "Friend, he's nice. We show him god, they agree. Yes?"

"If god say he good, then he good. If not, god kill him." They were not the right ones to pass judgment, regardless of what they thought. If he killed this alien and the gods did not approve then it would be just as bad as those other aliens returning, perhaps even worse. The gods helped them, but could be violent towards those who opposed them, so it was crucial they remain in their favor. "You, alien. Alone? Others? Tell me."
So Viral could hit pretty hard still, that was going to be kept well in Yumi's thoughts. It wouldn't take a ton of punches like that to hurt her, inadvertently or otherwise, so she had to be careful. Losing her balance after only two good strikes she had to recover hastily, springing up into the air to take a brief second of reprieve from the fight. Not even thinking twice about it the Beastman then used Ki to push herself towards the ground, using the speed and force of it to throw a flurry of blows of her own. Slowly settling onto the ground she didn't relent, continuing to throw rapid punches to keep her sparring partner well on edge and unable to retaliate. A good few hit, but comparatively they did little to harm Viral, his strike a fair bit stronger. As one punch landed on his chest Yumi was startled as Viral abruptly surged forward, all but ignoring her strikes. With a faint yelp she then took one punch, then another, and a third. Hastily putting up her guard she crossed her arms over her head, stepping back once more as she tried to avoid taking big blows. A good strike to her side made her lean over, and another hit alongside her head nearly knocked her clean off her feet. In a slight daze from that she dropped her guard, taking another big hit that got her right in the sternum, knocking her off her feet and onto her back.

Winded for a moment Yumi laid where she was, staring up at the sky in silent surprise. Where in the world had that come from? She'd had Viral on the ropes, and somehow he had come around and decked her like it was nothing. Lifting her head to look at the Beastman she debated on going on, wondering what point there was in doing so. Scarcely out of the fight and with nothing else to do Yumi ultimately decided to keep going, opting to see just how long either of them could hold out. Putting her hands to either side of her head she rolled back, pushing herself up and away on her hands from her friend. Once on her feet she rushed across the ground, and when close enough she made a small jump, swinging her body around and sending a hard roundhouse kick in Viral's direction. If she landed from that she'd try a kick to the midsection, and continue with quick strikes with her legs, figuring she might have more luck then.

Takeshi didn't quite get the whole delight over being called an 'alien'. In his experience it had always had a negative connotation, coming from people that either hated you or feared you, often times both. T'charrl couldn't possibly know how that was, he'd never been anywhere but here so far. Sooner or later the Kaesstrian was going to be exposed to the bad side of space travel, it definitely was not all fun and games. He might be willing to join them now for example, but that could quite drastically change upon their first encounter with a Saiyan. Offering up a few words of encouragement the Saiyan smiled, glad to hear his friend was getting the gist of what he was being told. "Yeah, you got it T'charrl," Takeshi said, giving his friend a thumbs up, "Mind over matter. A big part of control after all is mental, and being able to think through things. You've got to have a sharp focus to properly control your power. And everyone gives me flak for being dim or thick-skulled. I'm not either of those..." Frowning to himself the Saiyan sat up once more, looking over the edge of the cliff. Unable to really see Shu any longer he sighed, cupping his hands around his mouth and shouting down. "Shu? What are you doing down there?"

"Sh... Shu? Alien...?" the creature repeated uncertainly, cocking its head in question. What was this thing? Alien... That word sounded familiar, those other visitors had used it to refer to him and his kin. This one looked like the others had too, which might well mean he was a threat. The ones before had been awfully frightening and strong, and a few of their people had disappeared because of those brutes. This one didn't seem as intense or menacing however, he shouldn't be too hard to deal with. Feeling the need to protect his family the male stepped forward again, stretching his claws and raising his shoulders slightly, trying to look menacing. "We live here... Our home. Not your home, don't belong here. Hurt my son...? I hurt you..." Growling softly the creature advanced again, however he soon stopped at a soft squeaking sound, looking back over his shoulder to see his child run from the mother, past him and to Shu where he clung to his pant leg once more.

"Friend! Friend! Get food, not mean!" the child said, nuzzling up to Shu's leg defensively. Looking up at the Saiyan he smiled, gesturing to the berry bush as he looked back to his parents. "In home, no hurt me. Help me eat, keep me safe, I know. Friend Shu, not mean Shu."
Super meh post for the time it took, but there it is finally.
