With all of the tumult and anguish as of late Suto was having a difficult time keeping up his outgoing persona. Hollow smiles and flamboyant behaviors worked to dull some of the pain, but with repeated loss of life it wasn't going to cut it this time. Sulking in his room as he was probably wasn't the best course of action either, and he knew it, but getting himself to go out was nigh impossible. So rather than indulge at an event or socialize he had spent the last few hours idling away, now finding himself tracing the grains of the ceiling above him. What was the point, he reflected, if people were only going to be taken away from him? The notion of losing someone almost terrified him enough now to the point where he didn't want to meet anyone else. Of course that wouldn't do anyone any good, Suto also knew this much. Keeping himself isolated may not have the risks that being out in a group would, but it also didn't have the benefits. He'd never get the chance to have fun any longer, all over some paranoia that a familiar face may not be there tomorrow. Fact of the matter was it was a cruel reality that he had to contend with, one that since the game's launch he had failed to overcome. His entire frivolous behavior after all had been but a mask to conceal his constant tension and fear over what Sword Art Online had become. Now that two of his friends were gone that facade wasn't doing to cut it any longer.

It was to this end that a conclusion was reached. The only way to overcome a fear was to face it. Much in the same way Suto had become a fairly exceptional snowboarder by facing daunting feats he now had to face the world around him. Nothing was ever achieved by running away and hiding, after all. People were going to die, people he cared for. Hell, he may well die too. After Mizuki's passing no one was above this game's game of death as far as he was concerned. If someone as strong as her could be taken away then what was saving a simple support player like himself? Scoffing softly Suto rolled onto his side, staring out the window and at the rooftop of a small shop just across the street. Watching for but a moment he spotted a small white bird land on the tiled roof, hopping about without a care as it scanned the area. Then it moved over to his window, landing on the sill just outside the panes of glass. For a moment he simply lay there, watching the bird curiously as the creature made no indication that it was moving. On a whim Suto pushed himself up, swinging his feet over the edge of the bed and got up, walking over to the panes. Still the bird didn't move, and when he pushed the window open it finally did flutter away, moving back to its perch across the street. It was a dove, he figured, from what little he knew of birds. Having an innate interest on the creature he folded his arms down on the window frame, leaning over and resting his chin across his arms. Lucky bird, flying around freely and without a care in the world. That must be an easy, and simple life.

Simple, painful, depressing, happy, it didn't really matter what life was. Suto was going to go on regardless of how things were, whether he truly wanted to or not. If nothing else he owed it to the friends lost to keep trying, to get the others out free. With his being emotionally drained right now he was hard pressed to find enough care to get himself out, he could die at this point and be fine with it. Losing someone else close to him however was out of the question, that was never going to happen again. It was a hefty goal, and in order to achieve it he needed to become stronger. Rather than partying and acting like a fool he'd train day and night, however long it took. Doing it on his own was going to be tricky, but if it meant his leveling up quicker and becoming better able to protect others than so be it. Roused from his small bit of bravado when there was a knock at his door Suto lifted his head, glancing over his shoulder. What could Nero of all people want with him right now? Exhaling softly in a sigh he moved away from the window, carrying himself across the room and to the door, pulling it open slowly. Spotting the familiar red and white armor on his friend instantly Suto paused a moment, a bit taken aback by the sight. He'd never have imagined Nero would join the Knights of the Blood. Glancing back at his friend's face he leaned against the door, crossing his arms and raising an eyebrow. "That's new... What's up?"
"Just because something smells good doesn't mean it's going to taste good," Takeshi said, smiling amused as he playfully poked Shu's side. "And... I don't think soap cleans your insides. Wishful thinking though!" Perhaps a shower was going to be a bad idea. Goodness knows what he would do if Shu started to try and drink or eat the shampoo, especially since it was for whatever reason fruity smelling. Kind of funny, a military ship had aromatic, fruity cleaning products. "You can't go eating things like that buddy, it's not good for you. And besides, if you spoil your appetite on stuff like that then I get all your fruit and treats, so hah!" Though on second thought eating that much fruit was a touch off putting. Fruits and bugs, eck, were all Shu's when it came to meal time, he'd stick to meats and maybe rice and bread, but mostly meats. As the brothers walked along Takeshi debated whether or not on just skipping bathing altogether, as his stomach grumbled yet again and made the idea of food all the more enticing. One whiff of himself and Shu however provided a strong reminder for why they were heading to the washroom in the first place. It wasn't too far off, and hopefully nobody was in there already.

They had scarcely made it beyond the crowd of people and halfway to the door before a rather nervous T'charrl approached them. Giving their friend a funny look Takeshi smiled reassuringly, stopping in his tracks and gesturing with a thumbs up. "We killed it, blew it to smithereens!" he announced proudly, reaching over and slinging one arm around Shu's shoulders, giving his brother a small noogie as well. "This little guy did a lot of it, his blast was way bigger than mine. And he said he couldn't use his energy very well!" They had been more even really, but Takeshi figured he would play up his sibling doing the better job, more preferring to applaud Shu. Hearing the complaints about Leto he was hard pressed not to laugh, feeling a little sorry for their friend for having to endure all of that. "He's really emotional, but not upset. Just... Weird I guess? The guy just expresses himself a lot, and flexes, we're not really sure why." Nobody was, it was a mystery to the entire crew. Maybe Viral wasn't the only one who could benefit from seeing a shrink. "Loud... Well for the same reason, nobody knows. We just grin and bear it, and maybe the guy will wear himself out eventually."

Vegeta really didn't know what had gone on during the battle. All he could see were the results, being that his friends had returned, some in fairly worn shape. Viral had a bit of now crusted blood on his shirt sleeve, and he was holding his arm, probably meaning he had some injury. He'd only just healed too, albeit these wounds hardly seemed as bad as the ones he'd gotten before. "Is that right? That's all you did?" Vegeta asked, frowning as he folded his arms across his lap. "And forgive me for saying this, but I don't imagine Yumi singlehandedly weakened the creature. Even if the brothers did kill it they were only gone for so long. So the creature must have been awfully injured then. And if Yumi didn't do it alone, unless there was someone else present..." He didn't finish the sentence, not feeling he had to. Whether he'd actually done something or not Viral wouldn't acknowledge it and downplay any involvement he'd had. Later on he would have to ask the others what had gone on, to get a better idea of how to talk to the Beastman about it. Right now however there was the matter of his, and Yumi's wounds to address. "We should get you to the medical bay, touch up on your injures. What's wrong with your arm?"
Takeshi assumed Viral would come in his own time, and let the Beastman come along when he decided he wanted to. Going straight for his brother the Saiyan paused briefly to look at Yumi, frowning as she remained silent and kept her back to them. Man, someone always had to be upset or angry in this group of theirs it seemed. As far as he knew it was normal, as it had always been like this. Still, he wondered what it would be like if everyone could just get along and be more pleasant, even if for a little while. Eventually Yumi would cheer up, but Viral was another thing, he wasn't ever happy. Hearing Shu speak up Takeshi looked back at his brother, smiling and giving a nod of his head, stepping out of the ship. Washing should be pretty quick, even as dirty as they might be, and then they could have a nice huge meal. Just thinking about it made his stomach grumble in anticipation. "Hm...? Oh... We'll go to one of the washrooms of course, and we'll probably use showers," Takeshi explained, looking back at Shu. "Uh... Yeah, no eating the soap, that's definitely off limits. Gods know why you'd want to in the first place..." Even if it might smell nice the taste was horrid, the few times he'd accidentally gotten suds in his mouth attested to that. Why in the world anyone would willingly ingest that crap was beyond him.

Yumi just sort of felt like staying in her cot for a while. Between her body being tired and being at her wits end with Viral there was very little motivation to do anything else other than sulk. She hadn't even the heart to say anything to Shu when he was present, something she regretted almost immediately when the Saiyan child left. Hopefully he didn't think she was angry with him, she didn't want him upset. Behind her she heard the approach of footsteps, hoping hollowly they would pass on by. Instead the person stepped into the ship, and when she rolled over she came to stare up at Vegeta, who was looking down at her with a strange mix of concern and annoyance. Sighing softly Yumi pushed herself up into a sitting position, crossing her arms over her chest and returning the stare. "What? We're fine, so what's the look for? Shouldn't you be working on the ship?" Boy she really just wanted to rest right now, and yet here was Vegeta to no doubt fawn and fuss over her, or whatever he would decide to do.

"You look like you're about to pass out... You should go rest..." That almost instantly got a scoff out of Yumi, she appeared to be in quite the mood right now. Nonetheless she did pick herself up a bit unsteadily, and not passing her friend so much as a glance she walked by him, stalking out of the ship and hopefully towards her room. Vegeta would definitely be visiting her in a short while, not quite content at leaving his friend to pout and stay upset. Not if he could help it anyways, as there was someone else yet that he was certain he would be of no use to. Nevertheless the Saiyan turned towards the control room, walking right on inside to find Viral. Seeing him with his back turned to the door Vegeta smiled faintly, sitting in the other seat and idly going through the ship's controls, making certain that every system had been shut down properly. "Good job on the battle, by the way. It looks like you guys had it rough, but you did it."
"Yes, yes, I can set coordinates. That's simple enough to do," Korian replied wearily, rubbing at his forehead. Even someone with his limited knowledge of technology could handle such a simple task, it was essentially just a few commands and that was it. "You'll get your chance to study the Kaesstrian, like I said. You need to be patient Sayomi, they'll show up again I'm sure. There's no way they're going to leave the war entirely, so we'll run into them soon enough." Of that he was certain. On the side of good or not he saw most of those kids as vindictive enough to want to try and strike back. They were young after all, and Saiyans no less, it was pretty much natural for them to do so. Nodding his head and waving off his Lieutenant the Commander took the chance to break away from the conversation, lest he be made a fool of more. Going directly to the same console he had been at before he closed the screen, bringing up a slightly different chart of the stars. On the board below he put in a few numbers, knowing their destination by heart now after pouring over the coordinates for some time. When he was done the section on the map he'd designated lit up, glowing faintly against all of the other bodies around it. In essence it was pretty much a GPS, but for space. Hacked into communication arrays and other networks, bouncing signals off one another to judge location and distance. Pretty handy, Sayomi had outdone herself with this one.

"Hey boss..." one of the crewman whispered, moving over and giving Korian a nudge in the ribs, "You gonna ask her out or what?"

Korian didn't quite do anything for a moment, looking as though he was studying the map for a time. When he did look at the alien he smiled tightly, reaching over and dope-slapping the alien, nowhere enough to hurt him but to get the point across. "Are you going to make sure our systems are ready, or what?" the Commander retorted, watching as the man quickly gathered himself up and ran to his station. Rolling his eyes exasperatedly the Saiyan then got on the ship's announcement system, opening up the channels for communicators as well. "Attention all crew, we'll be departing from this planet shortly. Please begin to bring any materials and tools back on board and make sure everything is tied down for take off, thank you." Now hopefully they could get going with no further delays.

Leto was very much subscribed to the idea of a person being in control of their own strength. After all, he commanded quite the set of "guns" and never accidentally harmed someone, he figured himself quite capable of handling his power... However paltry it may be compared to the Saiyans. It was probably much simpler to handle less power than it was strength of their caliber, and he didn't know exactly where T'charrl fell on that spectrum. "And remember too, greatness doesn't have to come from strength, or even the battles you win!" the Yulian continued, smiling encouragingly at the Kaesstrian, "It can come from what you've done. Action can be violent and passive, it's such a manly balance to achieve greatness without being too aggressive! To be powerful and peaceful at the same time, truly that is the ideal way for a warrior such as ourselves to live!" For T'charrl's sanity it was probably a good thing that just then Leto's scouter turned on, and the Commander's voice told him to prepare to get back onboard. A bit disappointed in that they'd be parting ways again the Yulian sighed, looking at his own ship then T'charrl. "And like that two great forces part way once again. But fear not my friend, our paths are forever intertwined, we are on a road to galactic peace together! No doubt we'll do battle side by side in the near future!" In keeping with his rather random behavior Leto then just up and left, after parting with a respectful gesture found on his home world, one that would be utterly lost on T'charrl.

Takeshi knew well enough by this point that trying to talk to Viral was only going to sour things further. He wasn't exactly the Beastman's favorite person after all, the last one he probably wanted to hear any sympathies from was the Saiyan. Keeping his mouth shut then Takeshi assumed control of the ship, easing them higher up into the air to be free of the mountains and canyons around them. Then swiveling the ship around he took but a second to hone his scouter in on the others, and with a simple push of the stick began to fly back towards their ship. So Yumi and Viral were both in fair lousy moods right now, which in turn might well upset Shu. If that were the case then so much for their playing later, or doing anything remotely fun. Sighing in disappointment he glanced back, past Viral and into the main hold of their small craft, trying to see where his brother was. At least he was feeling better now, if nothing else, so they could actually play whenever they got the chance. Letting himself sort of mellow and drone out it seemed like they got back quicker than they had when coming in, and before he knew it the ship was slowing down upon its approach. From their spot in the air Takeshi could see quite a few rebels going to and fro, carrying things back to the rebel ship while also leaving some others inside their own. Supplies, he figured, though he wasn't sure why they were getting any. Cynically he figured Korian was trying to get on their good side again, after all the guy was probably still itching to get them back in the fight.

The ship slowly descended once they had reached the camp, touching down just a few meters behind their own ship for good measure. With a crowd of people moving around at the hangar's entrance Takeshi had to make them move before he could even dock it inside. Nearly driving over people was a pretty good way of doing that, and soon enough they were back inside of their own ship. To his surprise as soon as he stopped he glanced up and immediately spotted Vegeta, standing not far off from the nose of the ship with his arms crossed, staring intently back. By his side were a few aliens, with two stretchers no less, all garbed in white. Doctors, Takeshi realized, cringing as he looked back at both Yumi and Viral. If they thought those two were going to just go along swimmingly then they were going to be awfully disappointed. "We're here, and we've got a welcoming party," Takeshi announced, shutting down the ship before climbing out of his seat. He wasn't even going to get involved with whatever was coming, he had every intent on steering totally clear of it. To that end he went right off to grab Shu, standing beside his brother and smiling down at him. "Ready to go clean up buddy? The sooner we're clean the sooner we get to eat."
"I don't drink Sayomi, you know that!" Korian replied, almost whining as he gestured with his hands fitfully. "And so the men brought something back with them. Am I such a bad Commander for allowing my troops a bit of fun now and again?" So the soldiers were known on occasion to cut a little loose, there wasn't anything bad about that. Certainly not in the manner they did it either. In the Saiyan military having fun oft meant raiding worlds or getting into fights just for the sake of it, causing a great deal of trouble in the process. The worst kind of fun the rebels got into was someone got drunk and maybe broke something, that was it. The Commander liked to think he did a fairly good job of reigning in people's tendency to get wild, they had a fairly decent reputation for not acting out of line... That often. This whole conversation was just getting silly now, he wasn't sure why he was trying to reaffirm his leadership position to Sayomi either. "You are not a mad scientist, Sayomi..." Korian said exasperatedly, rubbing at his head before smiling at her slightly amused. "Perhaps eccentric, but far from mad. And yes, I think I will get to closing things up. As far as I'm concerned take a break, you've earned it." Might as well try to appease his Lieutenant, maybe then she'd stop ragging on him.

Leto wasn't sure what the impulses were that T'charrl spoke of. Sure, in the heat of battle things could happen, but he'd never gotten anything like a sudden, strong urge to harm someone else. It could be a Kaesstrian thing for all he knew, as well as Saiyans. He'd definitely seen some of the Elites just go mental in battle, it was a fairly unsettling sight. Not to mention the Oozaru transformation he had heard so much about yet had never seen, and probably for the best. "If I can be so bold, I think a man can control himself if he truly wills it. We have the ultimate reign over our own strength, and it falls to us more than anyone to keep it in check." It was the responsibility of the powerful, as Korian had said, to use their power properly. Yamate and the Elites made grievous misuse of their strength in harming others, rather than dutifully protecting the weak. There was nothing noble about taking advantage of those who couldn't fight back, it was just an outright farce. "Knowing you've got things to worry about and still fighting regardless is a manly endeavor indeed. I commend you for taking on battles if you're so concerned, it's admirable young man." Leto smiled as he stopped at the door to the ship, standing to the side so that T'charrl could go inside if he so pleased. "You're a strong boy, you'll gain complete command over yourself, I'm certain of this. Prove to yourself and everyone what a man you truly are, and strive for greatness! Someday I can see you standing amongst the universe's greatest warriors, defending all that is beautiful and righteous, I'm certain of it!"

Shu certainly had a knack for making friends, regardless of where they meant. Even if these people might be a little simple his brother still wanted to befriend them, and was quite fond of them already. So of course Takeshi was going to let his little brother visit them one last time, he didn't have the heart to say no anyways. When the door opened and a fair angry Yumi greeted them he instantly reconsidered getting on board, figuring he was only going to walk into a nasty storm inside. Letting their friend storm off to the back he tentatively went inside, going to the control room where Viral was. Since both their friends were fairly out of it the Saiyan figured he could take over flying and give them a chance to rest. Even an innocent offer like that however incited an angry response from the Beastman, to no one's particular surprise. "I'm not forcing you to do it, don't worry," Takeshi said passively, still keeping his eyes off of Viral. Internally he was annoyed, but he was doing his best to be patient and a little sympathetic of his friend's own annoyance. Yeah, real fine Viral, you're arm's practically off... he grumbled mentally, flipping a switch to shut the ship's doors. "They should be getting pretty close to done with our ship, so we can probably head back and then get ready to go. Wherever it is we're going next, anyways."
"I am not making excuses, Lieutenant. It was a perfectly legitimate request, so I accepted it. You can't honestly blame me for that." How embarrassing, he was losing face in front of a fair amount of their crew. This always happened, Sayomi always ended up winning when they argued. What bugged Korian more was the fact he was certain she knew she'd win, and she enjoyed their doing this. He could scarcely do anything about it, and per usual he wasn't just going to back down and let it be, more inclined to continue arguing for whatever reason. Indignant when she snapped back at him the Commander's cheeks reddened quite a bit, his mouth forming a tight line before forcing a small smile. "Nothing, Lieutenant, just making sure you remember who is in charge here," Korian replied, albeit it didn't sound terribly convincing. He was far from whipped, but when it came to butting heads with Sayomi that was one opponent he couldn't defeat, no matter how much he tried. Finally caving at last he stepped closer to her, leaning down and whispering while trying not to glance back at their crew. "Do we have to do this in front of everyone else? Can't you just leave it alone?"

Leto was having a difficult time conveying the rebel's rules of engagement, as it conflicted greatly with his own knowledge as well. He'd picked it up fairly quickly to ensure he wouldn't be cast aside, but even so in his mind he was quite accustomed to killing an opponent. "Yes, only the truly wicked ones are slain, as they should be. A man can only tolerate so much ill-gotten behavior before he has to put his foot down after all! We give all but the most sinister people a second chance, and you should as well. Good people can be made to do terrible things, this war has made me realize that more than anything." For a moment the Yulian simply looked at T'charrl, an almost sympathetic look spreading across his face before he looked away. Clearing his throat once more Leto placed his hands on his hips, then began to walk back towards the group's renovated ship. "You shouldn't want to see war, T'charrl. Soldiers don't revel in war, we do it because we must. Men are able to reign in their impulses and recognize that they should be reserved when it comes to battle, I hope you understand that."

Takeshi did wish that Shu wouldn't keep saying the "f" word, as his own stomach grumbled in response to the suggestion. Putting his hands on his belly the older boy smiled sheepishly, giving a nod of his head. "Yum food indeed... We've definitely got to go get something to munch on." Meat, bread, or even fruit, he really didn't care what it was at this point. Turning around the Saiyan began walking towards the ship, his hands laid out on his stomach as he daydreamed about food. A nice big roast, or a ham, and a mountain of mashed potatoes. A large fish, a dozen loaves of bread, oh he really hoped they had something on board. "If there's no more sacrifices then yeah, the kids ought to be safe," Takeshi mused, glancing back at Shu happily. "We can see them before we leave, if you want to. I'm sure that little guy would love to say goodbye. Er... Testa or whatever his name was..." It had been fairly hard to understand what was being said, their broken speech made it a bit tricky to follow. Shrugging his shoulders Takeshi stopped just outside of the ship, dropping his hands to his side and turning to face Shu. "So how about this: We go back and get clean, then we help everyone make a huge dinner! And maybe when we finish we can play a little before bed, how does that sound to you buddy?"

Yumi tried to be a little playful and supportive, hoping to cheer Viral up. Per usual it failed, only serving to agitate him more than he already was. "It's irresponsible that we let you fight...?" she repeated, looking at Viral confused. For a moment she just stared at him before frowning, stomping her foot on the ground and pointing accusingly at her friend. "You're always so upset and dejected if you're NOT fighting, so we let you because we hope it makes you happy. And now we shouldn't be letting you fight? How is that going to help if your problem is not fighting, or not being able to? Gah!" Grabbing hold of Viral's chair she turned him back to the controls, rising out of hers angrily. Wobbling a bit as her body was still tired she went out of the control room and to the side door, smelling Takeshi and Shu just outside. Grabbing the latch she nearly threw it open, looking at Takeshi testily as he stood there confused. "Get in you two, we've got to get back." After that she slipped over to the impromptu bunks, sprawling out on one and immediately turning her back to everyone. She was mad at Viral, and herself, and pretty much everyone right now. Everything they did to try to help Viral didn't work, and now he was saying that they were in the wrong for doing any of it. So what in the hell were they supposed to do for him? Just let him sit in his misery and rot?

Takeshi was left looking pretty dumbfounded at Yumi, having no clue whatsoever as to why she was in a tiff. Were he not afraid of having a fist down his throat he might ask what the problem was, but decided it was best left alone. Giving Shu a puzzled glance he shrugged his shoulders, tentatively stepping inside the ship and promptly heading for the control room. Since Yumi was in there fuming he figured he could pilot the thing, avoid getting lashed out at. When he spotted Viral in the main chair though he hesitated, instantly double thinking his decision to come in here. Given the choice between the two he decided to remain where he was, sinking down into the second seat and looking out the window to see if Shu was coming in or not. "Want to trade seats...? You deserve a chance to relax, I can get us back to the ship," Takeshi said, not looking Viral's way as he spoke.
Korian had to admit, those aliens hadn't been the brightest bunch. For the reality of the situation to be what it was they were awfully silly. He couldn't well be blamed for that however, they couldn't have known if the threat was legitimate or not. Should they start to refuse requests for help simply because it seemed a tad odd then there well could be an actual disaster. Maybe it was being a bit overzealous, but he wasn't about to change how they did things anytime soon. By now he felt worked into a corner, and bringing up the creature only served to further dig the hole he was in. "You were preoccupied with work, I was going to tell you when I saw you, and I did," Korian replied, shirking back slightly. Hardly with any scientific knowledge of his own he scarcely understood what his Lieutenant had said, hardly having any idea what she was on about. "Of course it's unusual. How many creatures have we encountered that simply disappear when we slay them? None that come to mind, so it's very unusual." If they could find another one of those it would be best to examine the beast, if they could capture it. The animal had been moderately large, and they didn't exactly have cages just sitting on their ships for live animals. Korian almost left the matter be for now until he looked back at Sayomi, looking abashed as his face reddened. "I'm your commanding officer, Lieutenant. Don't talk to me like I'm your subordinate, or I'll... I'll..."

There was very clearly a difference in how they as rebels and T'charrl were taught to fight. Leto could definitely sympathize with the boy though, his people were much in the same way when it came to warfare. However, now being so outclassed by so many fighters in the intergalactic scheme of things taking prisoners and making allies was much more helpful, and easier than trying to kill everyone. That and being able to forgive an enemy and make them a friend was truly something a man could do, which he was of course. In the midst of a flex he looked over at T'charrl when he spoke of people dying, straightening himself out and clearing his throat. "Some people deserve to die, this I'll agree on," Leto began, holding up a finger as he suddenly got quite serious. "Some people are too cruel or wicked to be given a second chance, I've seen this all too often myself. But many people in this war have no desire to be, they're forced under penalty of annihilation. If your people were forced to fight for the Saiyans would you want us to kill them, or give them a chance to atone?" Smiling cheerfully Leto walked over to the Kaesstrian, clasping him on his back and giving him a thumbs up. "We spare people and give them a chance because much of the time it isn't their choice to battle! No one should die for something they do not believe in, after all."

It was a fairly pretty scene, seeing the waterfall pouring down and the rainbows forming as a result. Goodness knows they probably just frightened the hell out of every resident within a few kilometers, but at least they would be safe now. Both Takeshi and Shu were a little jubilant over the whole thing, having both beaten the monster and made something worthwhile in the end. Flashing his brother a smile the older boy nodded, chuckling lightly under his breath. "I'm really hungry too, and yeah, we did it. Both of us, you really came through there." This was going to be a well deserved meal when they got it, they had certainly earned it. Turning around Takeshi slowly began to fly off towards their friends, in no particular hurry to get back. Right now he was just pretty happy, having successfully fought with Shu and now getting to perhaps spend time with him was very nice. To Shu's question he shrugged his shoulders a bit, looking back at the crater before ahead again, spotting their ship rested a little ways away. "I have no clue, they might have nothing to do with each other," Takeshi mumbled, "But it would be nice if it does mean they're gone. The people here definitely can't fight those things."

"I'm not the one that blew holes in it and nearly killed it. I hardly remember doing anything to it," Yumi retorted, smiling slightly. "And we nearly did kill it, there's no shame in not being able to finish it off. We made it easy for the boys, we did all the hard work. If it wasn't for us do you really think they would have won so easily and quickly?" She wanted Viral to realize that while they hadn't actually slain the monster they were every bit responsible for its demise as the brothers had been, maybe even more. Seeing as it had some pretty bad wounds it was a safe bet that it would have succumb to them and died soon enough anyways, so in that case all Shu and Takeshi did was expedite the process. Swiveling her chair around to completely face Viral she leaned across and smiled at him encouragingly, clasping her hands together in her lap. "You are not outdated. You've fought some really strong people lately and did pretty well against them, and now that you're healing you'll only do better." Yumi reached out, trying to turn Viral's seat to face her cheekily. "If you were irrelevant then would you be fighting with us? Or still strong enough to fight the same opponents we are? Winning isn't everything, and just being able to stand up to our enemies, even when you're hurt, says something about you. You don't give up, no matter how bleak things look. If you really have just given up hope then why would you be trying still? I think part of you knows you'll get better and you'll be right up there with everyone before you know it!"
"It was a legitimate request Sayomi. I'm certainly not going to tell someone no just because their claims might be unfounded," Korian said defensively, almost pouting. No one but his Lieutenant could get to him like this, and he was certain she knew it. All of the crew knew it as well, there were snickers and giggles in earnest at the show they were getting. It had certainly been a complete bust, that mission, but it had all been done in good intent. "You can't blame me for that one... I didn't know... And I haven't even shared with you the creature I fought earlier, did I?" Now this might give his occasional farfetched mission some weight, albeit it could also end up making them stay here a bit longer. "Leto was tackling some beast outside moments ago. I can't say what it was, but I'd wager it was a native of this world. In any case, I noticed something peculiar about it when I was fighting it, and when it died. There was no blood at all, regardless of how I struck it. And when it died it didn't simply collapse, it disappeared into smoke. I've never seen a creature do that before, and I've been on a fair many planets." Rather than perhaps focus on this new curiosity Korian was now more concerned with defending himself and the missions that he assigned his people. Smiling smugly he leaned in, pointing at Sayomi, "If creatures can do that, then surely a magical blob isn't so farfetched? The galaxy is full of yet explored places, so who are we to say what is ridiculous and not?"

Leto was fairly emotional over the split still, that was clear. He adored the Princes as they were the ones who spared him, ultimately giving him the new lease on life that would lead to his joining the Rebellion. On the other hand he was fiercely loyal to Korian, whom he considered to be a man amongst men and a true leader, nothing like the sham of a king the Saiyans worshiped. To see those two parties separated was just downright disappointing. Regaining his senses when T'charrl spoke the Yulian looked over, a little surprise showing on his face. "We try not to, yes. Anyone can kill, but a true man beats his opponent and then shows mercy! It's the reason I stand here still, because I was given another chance!" Leto smiled cheerfully at that thought, striking a pose randomly as he often did. "Many people do not wish to serve the king, and treason means death. But if they are defeated by us then they can join us, and so we gain allies and them freedom. It's a wondrous exchange; manpower for a new life, surely that's worth letting former enemies live!" To prove a point he stepped out of T'charrl's view, gesturing to the workers and soldiers around them. "Many of these people are formerly of the Saiyan military or were under Saiyan rule. To them the rebellion is a chance to escape oppression, and to atone for what they had done. Now do you see the point in letting our opponents live? Is it not a manly way of gaining allies, to be sympathetic?"

Takeshi was perfectly confident Shu could pull his part off. Training or not the kid was skilled, he just didn't know it yet. Given enough encouragement it was possible he'd be every bit as competent with Ki as his older brother or any of their friends. Or... Maybe not, but more so than he believed himself to be. When he blasted off his Kamehameha wave Takeshi was delighted to see a second one out of the corner of his eye, both speeding right at the creature. Poor thing never had a chance, and within a literal flash it was enveloped in energy, all but vanishing from sight under a massive cloud of smoke and dust. Hurrying to catch his brother he grabbed hold of Shu, immediately turning them around and leaning over slightly as a wall of debris scattered around them. Once that had settled the brothers turned around, getting a glimpse of the fairly large crater now sitting where the beast, and temple had been. It was something fairly surprising too in that in blowing apart another mountain they seemed to have broken into a high lake. Water now poured down from the cracked rock, cascading in a waterfall into the crater below which was beginning to fill. Even with the dust in the air Takeshi could make out a rainbow shinning just above the crest of the waterfall, giving the gradually forming body of water quite a nice look. He couldn't help but smile, it was a nice way to end off a fantastic explosion.

"Well look at that! We blew that thing sky high AND made something! We're pretty good aren't we?" Takeshi grinned cheerfully at Shu, freeing up one hand to playfully ruffle his brother's hair. That fight had been awfully easy, albeit they had come into the end of it. Viral and Yumi had done all the hard work, and it had definitely paved the way for them. No matter, he was happy all the same just to get to blow something up, it meant they could actually fight, if only a little. Still grasping his sword in the hand under Shu the Saiyan moved them down to the nearest flat spot, setting his brother down first before looking at his blade. Surprisingly it wasn't dented or anything in spite of smacking against that hard plating, he was impressed with how dense the blade must be. "Nice Kamehameha, you really pulled it off," Takeshi added, smiling as he sheathed his sword. Looking at Shu proudly he reached over again, wiping a bit of dust off of his brother's shirt before looking down at himself. "And now we both really need a bath..."

"But you can do it, so I'm sure you'll be able to teach me. Besides, he's always so... By the book and strict when it comes to teaching things. It's no fun, and I'd rather you do it anyways." Viral wasn't quite the person she imagined would take her for a joyride, but Yumi would be lying if she said she didn't intend on doing something like that. Knowing Vegeta he'd not want to partake in something like that, so she could surprise Viral and maybe even cheer him up a little. Or... Frighten him and make him label her as insane, on the far end of the spectrum. Hopefully not the latter, it would make spending time with him quite difficult. The sudden explosion and bright flash made Yumi awfully confused for a moment until she realized what had happened, rolling her eyes exasperatedly. Those two certainly knew how to overdo it if nothing else, she really doubted Kamehameha waves were necessary. Hearing Viral express his discontent Yumi looked at him sadly, managing a small smile. "They only finished it so fast because you beat it so bad already. So they owe their easy win to you, you did all the hard work."
Korian had pretty well dug himself a hole and he knew it. Of course he didn't expect Sayomi to get macabre and start dissecting people, he knew she was far above that. It was more a courtesy than anything else, as oft times Sayomi was one of the first people that anyone joining the rebellion would meet. Having someone measuring your cranium size or trying to examine every inch of your being for the first few days really could put one on edge. Arguing like this was always awkward too, especially when in front of some of their crew. When the Commander began to apologize he could swear he heard some people snickering, but he ignored it in favor of trying to settle down Sayomi. Chuckling softly he took his hand from her shoulder, standing beside her and looking down at the computer screen. "I send you on those absurd missions to keep you on your toes," Korian joked, smiling amused, "If it was the same thing incessantly then you'd get comfortable. We can't be saving people if we're cozy all the time." They did have some fairly strange tasks from time to time, often at the behest of those under the aid of the rebellion's relief forces. Once a planet was saved it was a tendency of the rebels to hang around just in case, often aiding in rebuilding and other relief efforts. These jobs came directly from the people and Korian delegated them to people who could handle the tasks. Looking back at Sayomi the Commander frowned slightly, shifting his weight a bit on his feet. "Are my missions really that absurd?"

"You seem like a righteous and just young man. There is no way your mother could be anything less than outstanding with a child such as yourself!" Leto of course was ignoring an awfully big contradiction in this, seeing as he idolized the Princes and yet loathed their father, that was the complete opposite of what he'd just claimed. It fit the moment just fine, and he wasn't thinking into it terribly much anyways. But considering how everyone seemed to act towards T'charrl he doubted that his family was anything short of good and rightful in their ruling, so he didn't even doubt the boy for a second. "Ah... Yes, the Commander and your friends... They were together at one point. Allies and friends, quite the force together from what I experienced. But, tragically fate would tear part this alliance from the stars. Banished Princes and the Rebel Commander, brought together only to be separated by one unfortunate event!" Leto blinked back tears yet again, rubbing at his eyes with his forearm. "Your comrade Viral and the Commander fought one another after Viral had slain some of the enemy, and it caused a rift that I fear may be irreparable now! We will be friends on the battlefield, but I worry that a tense alliance is all we will ever have now. Such a pity!"

Takeshi grinned broadly as they avoided another boulder, fairly confident they had this in the bag now. One final attack should do it, albeit not a single attack. No, he had a plan, and for it to work Shu had to get airborne again. Running the idea of tossing his sibling again Shu was more than delighted to follow through with it. "Okay, and you won't get hit, don't worry." Looking back over at the creature he watched it curiously as it lumbered about, seeming to have difficulties moving with all of its energy. it was more or less a cornered animal now, and killing it was pretty much an act of sympathy as far as he was concerned. "Listen, when I toss you up charge a Kamehameha. Remember how to do that? Then when you see me fire, fire yours too. We'll hit it with both at once and that should be enough." Both of them were basically completely fresh and had all of their energy, so if they wanted they could bring up an awfully big blast. It was a good thing their friends had moved off at this point too, there was bound to be a ton of debris and shock-waves from what was to come. Giving Shu a slight bounce in his arms the older boy smiled, eager to put his plan into action.

"Ready? On three I'll throw you, and start charging energy." It didn't even have to be perfectly synchronized, but it would look so cool if it was. "One... Two... THREE!" Tossing Shu back up into the air a fair ways Takeshi instantly put his hands at his side, beginning to gather Ki as quickly as he could. They just had to be mindful not to hit one another's attack, it would be awfully silly to go through this trouble only to louse it up. "Ka... Me..." he began, reciting the familiar little chant. "Ha... Me... Ha!" After a fair sized orb formed in is hands Takeshi thrust his arms forward, releasing the energy all at once in a large, concentrated beam. The Ki blasted through the air awfully quick, parting dust clouds as it raced across the open space towards its target. The creature was already responding by throwing its guard up, and it was only a matter of seconds until they would see what was to become of the beast.

Yumi felt bad for snapping almost immediately after the fact, but she couldn't well retract it now. It was frustrating though, being left out in the dark as far as piloting and other skills were concerned. Literally everyone else knew how to do it, save for T'charrl. His people had never even been in space, so he had an excuse at least. It made her feel inadequate in a way, she lacked something everyone else had. In a sort of abstract way she figured this must be how Viral feels sometimes, not being able to measure up to the others in some manner or another. Having this frustration that you weren't feasibly good enough all the time would drive anyone crazy, and hers was a very minor irritation. "Seems very simple, now that you explain it..." Yumi admitted, managing a weak smile. Looking over at Viral sympathetically when he spoke she bit her lip, turning her chair to face him. Easing herself over she placed a hand on his arm, hoping he'd turn to look at her. "Sorry, I shouldn't have snapped. And I know there's more to flying than just steering, so... Do you think you can teach me later? When you're up to it of course, I won't make you do it until you feel ready." As they sat there a bright light not too far in the distance abruptly appeared, followed by a loud, distinguishable sound. A bit alarmed Yumi looked to the window, arching her eyebrows when she realized that Kamehamehas were being fired off. "Are they nuts?"
"Sayomi... It's not that I'm against you documenting other races, I agree with that. I just don't want you invading someone's privacy like that," Korian explained, smiling sheepishly. If anyone could make him heel and cover his tracks it was his Lieutenant. "Your research has been valuable no doubt, I am certainly grateful for all of the work you do." It was something he couldn't well ever do himself, that was for sure. Not only would he not know exactly what to look for he'd have no idea how to go about acquiring it. At the furthest end of his skills he might be somewhat of a diplomat, but at the end of the day he was really just a soldier, one who happened to be a Commander. Watching Sayomi move over to one of the consoles he followed after her, cringing slightly when she accused him. She was right and he hated it. Even if he didn't agree with the crew he did nothing to silence their chatter, and as such his Lieutenant had a reputation she well didn't deserve. "Forgive me, I should have done something about it," Korian replied, reaching out and placing a hand on Sayomi's shoulder. "But I don't believe what they say, at all. Not only do I know you better but I'm fully confident in every thing you do," he added, smiling gently. "After all, would I pick anyone but the best as my Lieutenant?"

Leto had put his foot in his mouth, as he tended to do. Definitely the wrong choice of words as T'charrl looked to be taken aback a bit by his claims. Immediately trying to save it the Yulian smiled bashfully, rubbing at his head. "Not charge, persay... But they've taken it under their care. Took it upon themselves to protect it. Yes, that's it! They play protectors of sorts, but leave everyone to their own otherwise. Guardian angels if you will. Truly a manly and worthwhile endeavor!" Unfortunately too it was an unrealistic one. The galaxy was so massive and their ranks so small, they were barely covering the area they had now. It was why the offensives were becoming more and more common, they had to defeat the Saiyans to gain peace, there was no other way. The pair stepped out of the ship, back onto the soil and into the sunlight. Around them crew members were beginning to haul tools and leftover materials back to the ship, steadily packing up already. "We're your allies, T'charrl. No matter what happened between our Commander and your friends never forget that. In an age of strife the men must stick together to triumph over evil! I look forward to fighting by your side some day!"

"You can do it Shu, just concentrate and it'll work out." Takeshi was ready to dip his head down to avoid any concussive backlash, expecting another sketchy shot. Not only did a blast not fly by his head, but he soon noticed a lack of weight on his back. Confused he reached around and grabbed at air, his eyes widening in realization. Sure enough when he looked behind himself Shu was up in the air, firing off a modestly large sized blast at the creature. Hardly caring whether the attack hit or not the Saiyan darted over, catching his younger sibling in his arms, minding the sword of course. "You could have given me some warning before you did that," Takeshi said, sighing a bit stress-fully. Behind them the blast had slammed into something, and a loud roar told him it was the creature who had been struck. Looking behind them his eyebrows raised in amazement, seeing quite a bit of fur and even skin seared along its arm, shoulder and even a little on the upper back. So that blast had some punch to it, thank goodness it hadn't exploded. This however gave Takeshi an idea, one that hopefully his brother would buy into. "Shu? I'll toss you up, you shoot again. If you can do the same thing then we'll get him, got it?" Once more the creature tossed a boulder their way, to which Takeshi easily descended to avoid, keeping his brother firmly clutched to his chest until they stopped.

"I'd learn if someone offered to teach me. But everyone is too busy gallivanting about or doing other things to even think to offer." Yumi retorted, frowning and looking away from Viral out the other window. She certainly wasn't going to go around begging to be taught, she didn't want to learn that badly. Besides, with all of the people now among them who did know how to operate a ship why did she even need to bother to learn? One more pilot didn't really seem necessary, this was just one rare occasion when it would have helped. "Steering IS hard when you've never done it Viral. Anything is hard when you've never done it, so pardon my inadequacy." Letting out a soft little huff Yumi rolled over slightly, laying up against her seat and folding her arms beneath her chest. Her exhaustion coupled now with a growing hunger made her fairly grumpy, and the words of faith from her friend wasn't exactly making things any nicer. Still, she felt bad for snapping, and turning her head slightly she looked over at Viral out of the corner of her eye. "Sorry... But it is hard. I don't know how anything works. At least we didn't crash?"
