The Doctor looked between the two young people, Josh and Michelle as he finished talking to gauge their reactions to his words. The Medical Professional then noticed Michelle glance toward Josh with a worried face, and he was quick to say, "The M.R.I. scan itself is nothing to worry about, not even radiation. I know this because I have conducted hundreds of them without harming any of the patients."

Having finished speaking, Doc. turned to Josh in time to hear his questions. "Yes, getting the scan 'over with' is in your best interest and I can only have the M.R.I. scheduled an hour from now, as that is when Mr. Wayde, our Neurologist's schedule allows him to oversee the M.R.I scan...

Michelle nodded nervously, as she heard the doctor speak to them and explain all about the M.R.I. That it was necessary, and it was safe, even so, she still worried about how Josh would take the news, as she continued to look at him and crossed her fingers of her left hand behind her back as a silent sign of good luck for him.

Michelle smiled as Josh stuck his tongue out at her, and offered for her to go to his place later, even going as far as to lend her his car as a substitute while hers was at the Mechanics. It was such a nice offer, and it seemed to her that Josh wasn't bothered with the upcoming M.R.I. scan, a whole new experience of people looking at his brain, And he's not scared.

She was so impressed with him, that she hugged him without warning, and she altered the sound of her voice as she replied to him, "Josh, your a really awesome guy." she said in the soft voice that sounded very much like a weak wind, into his shoulder.

The Doctor noticed the two young people were having a hug and he decided to leave the room, "I'll just leave you two be for a minute, shall I?" He said a little awkardly, and then left without waiting for an answer, closing the door behind him.

@Corrosive Just an observation. You did not put your characters name in your I.C. post anywhere. You only referred to him as he/him, so I had to read it from the character tab.
@Prince of Seraphs I'll do that in future. Sorry about your toes.
<Snipped quote by Gareth>

I wasn't thinking remove them completely but alter then within a logical progression to allow for more realistic scenarios and development. While we're on the subject of how Fire Emblem differs from run of the mill, medieval fantasy games most of that has to do with the game play command style as a pieces on a chess board sort of design which is essentially lost when transitioning it to a roleplay. It's already very close to being a run of the mill, medieval fantasy roleplay simply by the necessity of how Fire Emblem games are written and designed so throwing out the class system wouldn't exactly do that much more than making Fire Emblem into a roleplay hasn't already done, that said I wasn't suggesting we throw out the class system.

I think I was trying to make this roleplay = fire emblem totally. xD It's not my roleplay lol. And so when I read that you wanted the weapons for certain people to be more realistic, like a archer able to use something to be to defend themselves from close range, I ended up posting back no, in more words.

From:The Prince of Seraphs:
The problems I'm having is that the class system as it is currently set up extreme limits on what I can do with a character. I can't create a thief that plays a musical instrument because that falls into the Bard's class. I can't have a knight who knows lances and swords or a Mage that fell on hard times and resorted to stealing learning the tricks of a thief in the process. I can't have a Fighter whose familiar with tactical analysis because that falls under the domain of the Tacticians. I can't create a Kindred whose ashamed of there ancestor and so prefers using conventional weapons and only uses the transformation stones in extremely dire circumstances. I've got a hundred different ideas for characters spinning round my head and each time I think I've landed on one that works well I cross reverence it with the class guide and realize that it crosses the boundaries too far.

From Lugubrious

Except you can. There is no bard class, 'Troubadour' is just the name of the mounted healers, and instruments have no inherent magical properties, so any class can have musical instruments. You can have your knight do that after he promotes. You can have a Mage with thieving skill but who doesn't use swords (the useful skills I mentioned in the thieves entry are ones that are essential to, but not exclusive to, thieves). Same goes for Tacticians--while tactical knowledge is required if you're a tactician, it is not exclusive to the tactician class. A Kindred can reclass into a different fighting style, thereby losing the ability to transform.

I'll put up the bits about reclassing and essential but nonexclusive skills to the OP.

From Me: Yeah I think I was just trying to be super loyal to the games. Having a realistic roleplay can't be like the games, because as Seraph says there is no chessboard in roleplays. I agree that, the chessboard is the most fire emblemish separator from run of the mill midieval fantasy roleplays.

Anyway having more freedom of character creation like having a wyvern rider learn to be a street performer or whatever the case may be, would be awesome, (my opinion.)

I hope I haven't stepped on anybody's toes.

Ok I edited.
lolz even though thantos, has a swimming ability, I'd still like to keep mine.

Nah i changed my mind about that. I'll edit my c.s.

Partner: Spinosaurus

Special Skills: Poison based abilities: I can poison anyone by touching them, hitting them with my spiky Chakram, or by breathing a poison gas cloud onto them.

Dino
Name:Spinosaurus
Gender:Male
Appearance:

Gem:Amazonite

Village History: The name of the village is Tarin. It lies on the border of a rainforest and a desert, with many of the 'houses', huts really made out of leaves and wood. These huts are held together by rope which is anchored to the ground by wooden pegs, just like how one would set up a tent. Tarin's people respect their dinosaurs and their surrounding environment. The people live off natural resources only as necessary. Using as little as they have to, and when take something from the environment they use every part of what was taken. For example, the people gather the Amazon rivers water with metal pots and have the dinosaurs carry the water back, and use the amazon's tree's for wood and with a little flint and steel, they build fires to purify the water, for consumption. Metal is created at the main forge in the village, where various desert rocks or sand is melted down and other things are added to the melted state to create stainless iron or steel as the molten metal cools down to become a finished product. People are not sure how the forge was created in the first place, as it has been around for centuries, and the people's ancestors never bothered to keep a written record of what they built and what they'd done to pass on to others. To Tarin's people, their dinosaur companions, are more then best friends, it almost seems like they can read each other's thoughts, and so each person and dinosaur pair have a special bond between them.

Tarin's people also put a priority in hunting. The hunting would take place more often in the Amazon than in the Desert, simply because the amazon has cooler temperatures and a wider variety of animals and reptiles to hunt. The people would go out hunting with various weapons and their dinosaurs, to kill small rodents, reptiles and snakes and bring them back to heat over their fires, and then obviously eat em.

Kyle Tero Bio: He grew up in Tero, just as the runt of the neighbourhood, and at times it wasn't fun. The other kids around him would nickname him, "midget," ,"shortie", "tiny" and he hated it. He was five when this started happening, only a few months after he made his new friends, and he would end up running home and crying to his parents about how the meanies made fun of em. After he cried though, he just silently forgave them and hung out with them the next day like nothing had happened the day before. But he continued to get bullied until the day he turned seven and grew a backbone, as the biggest kid saw him down the dirt path, (basically village equivalent of a street.), and called over to him, "Hey shortie come here." He granted the jerk's wish. He ran up to the kid who called him shortie, and punched him in the face, hard. After that he never had a problem, with his friends. At age eight he took care of the dino egg, he received from the village chief always making sure he kept it with him and sang it a lullaby at night to help it sleep. Then at the age of thirteen his egg hatched, and he got a Spinosaurus, he was super excited. While at the same time he was given by his dad, a smith, his chakram weapon and his dad also told him that he could start hunting in the amazon, mice at first, with his small dino. Years passed and he developed skills in tracking, quick reactions, cunning fighting tactics, great team work with his dinos, as his dinos skills improved in the same ways. It was shortly after that, that he discovered he had poison like abilities and excitedly he started developing them.

At the age of sixteen he finally decided to touch the aquaish colored gem in the centre of his weapon, as he was just hanging around in the middle of the Amazon, with his full grown spinosaurus, and was shocked as his dino transferred to the weapon. It was really cool, he decided as he touched the gem again and his dino was released from the weapon. The dino. wasn't too pleased at the time, but eventually he got over that.

Then for the next two years he continued to hunting with his dino, bringing down bigger reptiles and animals, like huge anacondas and gorillas, though he only killed the gorillas if they had attacked him first and he never brought them back to town to eat. He would get in trouble by them if they heard about the waste of 'food', which is why he kept it a secret.

@Prince of Seraphs Again, thank you.

I'm not Lugubrious.

In my opinion though, removing the the class restrictions, removes part of the Fire Emblem from this Fire Emblem role play.

Doing that would take a significant step to being your run of the mill, medieval fantasy role play. Something that is a dime a dozen on this website to begin with.
@Prince of Seraphs, Thank you. I think I have changed my signature for the better.

Right, Kindred Souls and The Broken Drum are linked to those pages, which was an accident, but in the end I decided that I liked it that way.
I was going to fill the c.s. but then I realized I don't have some details of the sovereign nations.

What is the technology like in: Augur, Panoply, Bravura and Acarid?

What are each nations buildings made out of? What natural resource might a nation have more then the other nations?

Who is governing each nation?

Does each nations people/inhabitants have beliefs or values that is different from the rest of the nations?

Is there any legends told in any of the nations?

^ I'm only asking these questions to learn more. Otherwise I'd have to make up stuff for my character and you might not agree with what I've made up.
