That post was made in a bit of a hurry. Sorry again...

I think limiting the magic could be interesting in the fantasy world (still needs a name haha). Granted if it's too limited and our characters can use it, it almost comes off a bit "mary sue" like. If potion making was common but maybe using runes or studying them wasn't as much, do you think that could work? And I say potions but it could also mean simple things like mixing herbs, purifying things, etc. I'm not assuming potions give a user powers, but perhaps they're more of the healing sort where maybe runes give people the "power" needed with elements? Something basic and structured like that?

Yeah, science's idea of magic would surely be logical and tech related.

*nods*

I think what I meant to say was that one or two worlds may know about another but not all three?

Or if we wanted to use a prophecy, maybe it was etched in the mirrors and putting them together might fulfill it or something?

Or maybe the broken mirrors were only how transporting worked? Like maybe...the mirrors were designed to keep the worlds from being invaded and when they were broken, the boundaries were lifted? I dunno.

Again, I'm spit ballin' here. XD
I enjoyed 12, I saw so much 9 in him. :3 I don't know if we needed 11's appearance but it was nice. I still hate Clara but she's leaving during the Christmas Special so that's good news for me. I hope DW is back on a better literary track and stops with pointless romance and flirting. Maybe that's just me...and yes, the class is over and I feel free as a bird! How've you been?
You know the stories that talk about someone falling back through time? Either a modern day girl named Kagome falls down a well and finds herself in a feudal era Japan plagued by magic and evil. Or there's a semi-modern girl who falls back even further in time and wants to find a way forward? I'm a little sick of them, to be honest and it got me thinking about time and how interesting it would be if someone fell forward rather than backward. I would like us to both double, I want this out of the way before we go any further. I also want three to four paragraphs per character so you should be giving me anywhere from six to eight paragraphs. When we're doubling, it shouldn't be hard to give two characters attention but I've seen people "double" when they're really half-assing one role and it's pathetic. And annoying.

So if you're capable and dedicated, please keep reading.

So this idea can go in a few directions and I've listed out the general ideas below, whichever you are interested in, is the one we flesh out together. I don't like throwing plots or roles at people and hope they like it. I'd rather make something with my partner so we're both happy and equally contributing to the story. A happy writer is a lot easier to talk to than one who is sour and soft spoken.

1. Set in modern day, two people fall forward into the future which can be sci-fi or cyberpunk or whatever.

2. Set in a historical era of our choice (I'm keen on American Civil War, the 1970s, 1990s, or possibly set in Japan or the UK) and our characters fall forward into our modern day. The historical era can either be tweaked with fantasy and magic, or not.

2.5 A slight different from the second thought in that it's not historic but actually pure fantasy from Earth but in an odd time between say dinosaurs and whatever else. Or it could be another planet or ambiguous.

3. Set in the slight future, our characters fall forward into a mix of fantasy and post-apoc, while I'm not a fan of post-apoc because either it's taken TOO seriously by crazy buffs or not seriously enough and people forget about the slice-of-life art of survival.

I'm personally drawn to 1 the most but that's just me. Any suggestions welcomed. I also don't care if someone plays the time travelers or the ones who meet them in whatever future but it might be better if we played one of each so no one is hogging the plot points. Again, another pet peeve of mine is when partners make their character the center of the story, make them whine about things and need constant attention and reassurance. I've been subjected to it more often than I'd care to admit...

My post is slowly coming along. I really don't want to write an entire novel as the intro post, ...

Don't worry, just post. XD

Yeah, I've heard a lot of good things about Orphan Black. I just haven't gotten around to watching it yet (or starting many new series at all recently) since I've been devoting much of my free time to getting through a certain 26-season show as quickly as possible. I've only recently started slowing down on that just to catch up on Korra and Welcome to Night Vale...

You really should watch it. I had to put LoK on pause myself but that's because the second season was a bit "eh" which made me less thrilled about its return. *shrugs*

@Genkai: We couldn't give the spin of some evil menacing intergalactic criminal-mathematician steals the plant and plays with its genetics and makes a crazy sentient humanoid flower clone thingy? No?Well, I'm down to play it by ear ^_^

Hahaha. Um probably not...though I'm getting flashbacks to old anime now,

Erm, we shall see though! Who knows who or what is lurking in the abyss...

Nope, not forgiven. I must now banish you!! *dragon rages the computer screen*
Yeah maybe just have them "not work" rather than vaporize. *nods* It shouldn't be an issue or focus then.

Well the fantasy world would certainly have magic but probably a low form of it? Like potions or runes or something? I assume the "magic" in the sci-fi world would be more like magic + math/science and as such would be more like energy or laser oriented? And in the modern world, would none exist at all? Maybe that's where the two are destined to converge or something? What if we had some sort of prophecy that originated in the modern world and got passed along from the 1700s to present but having been published somewhere random to hide it, no one's thought much about the idea of three worlds colliding.

But say the prophecy got a little mixed up in the other two worlds?

I'm rambling randomly. Sorry.

Or what if the worlds once got along but back in the day had some war which maybe broke the mirrors so maybe the concept wouldn't be totally "fresh" and weird....?

I'm probably not making much sense. >___>
