It seems like the possible RPs I had for these are...on hold? So I may be able to welcome a new RPer.
Their mission had to come before her training, that was a given.

Sakura was aware that their constant movements would make for a challenging training session. It seemed like Kakashi was already giving this biggest issue some consideration so that something could work in their favor. Continuing to train would be wonderful but Sakura didn't wish to push it, if something couldn't be done without jeopardizing their pace or mission. The only thing she could do was give him a nod before he sped up a little, prompting the girl to follow suit, not sure what he was up to. His jog quickly turned into a sprint and she adjusted her own agility to keep up with him, as he was continuing to voice his consideration of the matter. In her mind, this speed test was a little reckless. If they were ambushed, she didn't want to be worn out. O

Of course the point of speed was to practice and build up endurance so that it wouldn't be an issue if she sped along and was ambushed in the future. He looked over his shoulder at her as they sped along, and mentioned how she had demonstrated fine close combat when up against someone like herself, in terms of skill. She thought back to her battle with Ino and for a moment, her eyes darkened. That loss had been a very tough one to handle. It might as well have been a loss in her mind, as opposed to a tie. Ino should have lost and Sakura knew that. But she moved on, knowing dwelling on it wasn't going to change the results. Kakashi Sensei then said she lacked the skills for long range combat and then led them into the trees which were running along side of the dirt road they were currently on.

As she finally caught up with him and began to follow along with him through the thick trees, using the branches and trunks for support, he explained what he'd like her to try doing as they progressed toward the overnight town. Sakura gave him a sideways look before forming a gun with her dominant right hand. She then saw him push off with even more force and he began to put more distance between them both. Her speed couldn't match his any longer, and he knew that. She didn't bother with calling out for him to wait, that was part of the training, to use speed but also chakra control. Doing two things at once would require a great deal of concentration and she knew it would take a while for her to be able to try and fire at him. Even then, would she even be able to land a hit?

If she didn't try, she'd already fail.

"Got it. Watch your back!" She called out to him. Sakura kept her pace, not wanting to pull too far ahead and catch him, only to not have any chakra built up for her shot. The girl sighed heavily and began to collect her chakra in her finger but found it had to push it to a single point in her body. Pushing to her feet or fists was simple, but to a single finger? After twenty minutes of leaping through the forest, she finally had enough juice to take her best shot at him. She knew it would get easier, the more she took the time to collect and channel the energy. For now, her first attempt would have to suffice so she could continue to get in the habit of thoughtful chakra control while keeping an eye out for the trees, as well as her teacher, still very much ahead of her.

By now, she could barely make out his form but there was no way she'd waste her chance. Sakura used some chakra in her feet, to propel her faster in order to catch up with Kakashi. Sakura took aim and fired at him. It went towards his head but he dodged it and it ended up landing on the tree ahead of them, leaving a decent sized hole where squirrels could further stash nuts away. She glared and kept going. She knew the first try wouldn't be a success but she was still mad at herself. She liked to do things well and so far, it was just a mess. Sakura noticed him put even more distance as he began to shake up where he was. Sometimes he'd be on her right, or above on her left. She went back to channeling her chakra and in only eleven minutes, she had gathered her chakra all over again to try and hit him. It missed again hanks to his dodging. Now she was more mad at him, than herself.

As much as she wanted to yell for him to stand still, she knew an enemy wouldn't be so kind.

"You're so great at dodging, despite being an excellent target." Sakura smirked. She was a little snarky with her tone, but it was clear it was in good fun. Still, she was determined to do something by lunch, at least graze him! As the hours progressed, she had many many many attempts and he had thwarted each one. As the sun was continuing to rise, she managed to have one shot get his left arm but it only snagged his long sleeve. Much to her relief, he suggested they break for lunch and get their bearings. Sakura was pretty tired and glad to oblige in her teacher's gracious suggestion. The two of them found a clearing in the woods and set down their things. Her bag landed with a heavy thud and she sat down beside it and began to fish out some of the food she brought for herself and noticed her mother had slipped in two bento boxes when she wasn't looking. "Oh...I guess mom made us lunch." She set Kakashi's between them, while she took the one with her name on it, which had a note telling her to do her best.

She shoved it in her backpack and started to eat, happy to have a real meal in her stomach.

"How far have we come?" She asked as she scooted over look over Kakashi's shoulder at the map he was studying.
Mako wasn't interested in Korra. Korra, I think was a little interested in him. She liked Bolin but then suddenly there were weird feelings between her and Mako, despite Mako having Asami now. Then Bolin tells Asami about the kiss, she's upset. When Mako and Korra get together, Bolin neither Asami give them shit about it. I'd give them even more shit when they end up breaking up because all they do is butt heads.

I ship Tenzin/Asami too. It's a tragic story how that has to happen...ahem...

Anywho.

Tenzin being a hardass to Korra is sort of the point for the pair. He sees a lot of potential in her, she doesn't want to apply herself and instead focuses on Pro Bending. After making a mess of Mako and Asami, she actually feels like shit and decides she can't really have friends her own age yet because she's still a bit new to the city as a whole. People are complex as fuck and she's learning she is too. So she decides to focus on her air bending while avoiding Mako, Asami and Bolin because Amon is a serious threat, girl. Meanwhile Pema is feeling overworked with the kids while Tenzin continues to give more attention to the Avatar who is slowly making progress. Finally right? Pema watches as Korra, an outsider, starts to make Tenzin smile and laugh more than he has in years. The kids start to grow fond of Korra too and before Pema knows it, Korra is helping more around the house. Uh oh.

Pema then suggests that Korra go back to her friends on the mainland and have some fun, Korra tells Pema she has plenty of fun hanging out with Tenzin and the family, and that she feels more welcome and accepted by him than with anyone else. As Korra's skills improve, she and Tenzin begin to confide about their fears, their past, etc. He tells her about Lin and Pema and Korra talks about how she fucked up Mako and Bolin and Asami. During one of Tenzin and Korra's arguments about training stances and movement, Tenzin positions himself behind Korra to correct her posture and bam! They're very close but unlike the usual instances, there is a mutual intensity and longing bubbling under the surface. His arms around her waist, she leans back...they kiss. Tenzin is of course the first to pull away and put distance between them, knowing how terrible of a mentor he has been, as well as a husband. Korra insists what they feel is natural and a connection neither can deny.

Korra acknowledges it may have been a fluke and that she'd happily go move in with Asami or the boys if it would help. She also says that he makes her feel good about herself, even when she doubts her abilities and that she wishes she could be the same kind of support for Tenzin. She says she can give him space to think if he'd like. He agrees it may be for the best so she leaves the island. Pema is happy, the kids aren't and Tenzin can't stop thinking about Korra, Amon is lurking and Korra teams with that buttface to lure him out. When Tenzin rushes to catch up with Korra who is left shaken and afraid from her encounter with Amon where he nearly took away her bending, Tenzin realizes his love for Korra is more than just that of a teacher and student that it is wrong to deny either of them happiness. Tenzin admits he's had a habit of falling for strong women and Korra says her only habit is falling in love with someone capable of catching her. The pair reconcile kiss before he takes her back to the air temple island that night where they share a bed, testing the line they've dreamed of crossing for a while now.

When Korra goes missing after being captured by Amon, Tenzin is worried sick and Pema confronts him about it, saying how disturbing it is for him to have crossed a line. He, now feeling more capable of being assertive as opposed to passive, points out Pema got in the way of him and Lin. It's a low blow but he's not sorry. He says he loves Pema and their family but that he can no longer deny that what he has with Korra is becoming special and undeniable. Once he finds Korra with Mako and co. he never leaves her side, thus letting Mako and Asami hammer out their feelings without Korra getting in the way. After the final battle, Pema moves out of the air temple island and decides she wants to be more than a mother and opens a shop in the city. Meanwhile Korra and Tenzin continue their training and head for Katara, hoping to restore the rest of her bending. While Korra considers ending it all, it's Tenzin who really does find her, they both have a vision of Aang who gives them an amused blessing.

I've rambled enough. Sorry. That's like a post right there lol

I was happy to see Korra so shaken in the middle/end part of season one. I wish they had gone back to that. And yeah, Team Avatar was more strong in ALTA, which had a fantastic last season, duh. But they said it themselves, they want to be Team Avatar, by trying to copy that alone, I think it won't ever feel the same as the original gangsters.

EDIT - Just met Opal. She doesn't seem so bad, though we'll see how that goes later on.

And we're gonna take this thing to the end man, we started it back up for a reason! XD
It's hard to remember Lee was likely a student of Iruka's too but yes, I'm sure that would be something to celebrate as well.

If they do make it to the town early, I assume the training could be possible. Otherwise, it may wait until morning as they try to reach Tanzaku by nightfall? And you should we do a Kakashi/Sakura v Gai/Lee sort of spar when the boys in green come around? Or should we do a Lee/Sakura v Gai/Kakashi sort of thing?
They were driving and just joking about how they both kind of fucked each other over (though technically I still think Mako/Asami happened AFTER he and Korra broke up in season 2). It wasn't handled seriously, just like when Bolin caught Korra/Mako and ran off. Mako didn't do anything, nor did he feel bad. Then when Mako and Korra finally broke up at the end of season 2 for good, Mako is pouting and Bolin has to try and cheer him up. WTF.

It's like Korra has to be the center of everyone. She got with Bolin (kinda) then Mako and then Asami? Fuck, I wish I had my Tenzin/Korra moment, seems like that should have happened too, considering how things were going there...

The fact is, Korra was a sheltered person. But that fans say she's a teen, hence why she's thoughtless, is BS. She knows right from wrong, as should Mako. The more I think about it, the more I do like season 1, I just wish the choices and conflicts had carried over. I mean Korra was at her lowest point at the end of season 1, then again at the end of season 2...and yet we don't see the doubt resurface because it's somehow always resolved the way personal issues with Asami are ignored for some reason. :/
This is surely like a tutorial more than anything else. The foundation and reasoning behind the training and what not. I have a feeling Iruka may want to throw a little party to congratulate Shikamaru as well as the others who made it as far as they did. I know it's a bit late (maybe a month late?) but it would still seem like something he'd do, even without Naruto around.

And I'm fine with them staying at the hotel on their way there, and possibly staying out and camping on their way back, maybe the night before they run into Gai and Lee the following day?
Mako was all up in Korra's biz at the wrongest of moments and wouldn't even see why Asami was so pissed at home. He ruined what could have been a cool friendship between Korra and Asami, which for some reason is without damage after season one??? They were just lol'ing how they both got Mako to cheat on the other in both relationships. How is that funny? At least now, we're giving them the much needed closure so actual things can progress normally. >___>

Exactly, Mermaid Man knows what's up. Totally on my mind hahaha.
Korra and Bolin were down to earth and had fun where Mako and Asami got to live in a better fantasy life. I truly believe Asami wanted to help Bolin and Mako out...but then Mako ruined everything and thought no one would notice with evil afoot!
My baby Tenzin~!

I'll wanna watch an episode before bed tonight, I thinks.
