All right I'll work on to fix that.

Shouldn't be a problem, depending on which part of the chest you hit and whether the motherboard was fried or not. :)
What is Focus and when do you acquire it? (Votes are updated again. Skype friends and stuff.)

You acquire the Inquisitor's Focus about a quarter of the way through the game, after you arrive at Skyhold. A giant sucking void which causes damage over time and can banish demons when used close to a portal.

Other Focus abilities are unlocked via the character's specialties trees, which are unlocked after level 15, I think. Each of those is different but very powerful. For instance, Artificer's Hail of Arrows doubles the effect of any archery abilities for a limited period of time, which is really powerful in combination with Varric's usual range of moves; Assassin's Cloak of Shadows makes the entire party invisible even when attacking for a short while, making them immune to most enemy attackers, but still vulnerable to High Dragons' breath attacks; and Tempest's Thousand Cuts is a nuclear bomb (figuratively), allowing you to teleport around slicing all nearby enemies between 12 and 36 times for high damage.

All the Focus skills require an energy bar to be powered up during combat, but persists between engagements, so you can run around fighting smaller foes to charge up before heading off to hunt down the High Dragons. Focus generation can be by performing combo attacks with other party members, such as freezing a target with a Mage then shield bashing them with a Warrior to shatter them, and can be upgraded three times via Inquisition perks, which doubles and trebles the effectiveness of each ability, depending on how much charge you've built up.

I'd say there's more balance between classes in this game than the others. Each has a well defined role in battle all its own while none are significantly overpowered compared to the rest. Generally the specialisations fall into the old Defensive, Offensive or Support models, but each has perks and twists making them useful in their own ways.
Female Vashoth Rogue!
@Revans Exile I wasn't sure if the first one was an actual kill or not, since based on what @Argetlam350 posted the robots can still function with holes in their chests.
@Behemoth542

I was thinking about debuffs to use against opponents like:
  • Parasitic Infection: Cost 4; Target automatically takes 1 damage at the beginning of the turn. This effect may stack with multiple applications.
  • Sedative: Cost 5; Target's actions become groggy, reducing Attack by 1. This effect may stack with multiple applications.
  • Head Trauma: Cost 3; Nightingale targets an attack at an opponent's central nervous system, causing 1 damage and preventing them from using any abilities on their next turn.
  • Transfusion: Cost 4; Nightingale may either transfer upto 5 Health from herself to an ally, or if a target has been Sedated then Health equal to her Attack rating from that target to an ally instead.
  • Salt In The Wound: Cost 3; May only target an opponent who's already been damaged by Nightingale. That target takes the same amount of damage again this turn.

Also she could have medical treatment abilities:
  • Combat Stims: Cost 3; Increase either Nightingale's or one ally's Attack by 2 for 2 rounds. After that reduce their Defense by 2 for 2 rounds.
  • A Little Pick-Me-Up: Cost 3; Double either Nightingale's or one ally's Energy regeneration rate for the next 2 rounds. Then reduce their Energy regeneration rate to 0 for 2 rounds.
  • Medi-Vac: Cost 8; Remove Nightingale or one ally from the battle and immediately restore all their Health and Energy. They may not rejoin the fighting again until the beginning of the next battle.
  • Quarantine: Cost 4; Double the Defense of Nightingale or one ally for the next 2 rounds. During that time the target may not use any attacks or abilities which target anyone other than themselves.
@CAS1006@Adorabadass It's all done with mirrors and magnets.

@vancexentan Isn't the point of the roleplay to get into trouble? If we take the safest course and make it to Starkhaven without incident where's the fun to be had?

Personally I think 'Etta would've preferred to take the surface route since it would've given her the opportunity to visit the arcanist in Tantervale, which will be missed if we take the Deep Roads, but since she's now heavily into designing her Golem Trap 'Enticement Device' I think her mind's already moved onto other things.

@SimplyJohn If he's got the Darkspawn Taint, can Martin detect Darkspawn, the same way Grey Wardens can?
"If the wardens cleared out them so thoroughly anything seen as remotely valuable would need be in the hands of the infamous Legion of the Dead who actively helps them. I see little gain outside a possibly quicker travel path through the deep roads to Starkhaven...or Kirkwall..."

"The Legion won't be of much help this far from Orzammar, but we may run into some of those new Golems I've been hearing about." Henrietta mumbled without looking up from her dissection of her dinner.

Suddenly, as if hit by lightning 'Etta's head snapped up, eyes wide and glistening with excitement as she threw the gutted fish carcass aside. "Yes! Golems..." She said, almost drooling with anticipation, "The Deep Roads sound like a great idea. Perhaps we could search out for a patrol, or set a trap for one... no, not a trap, that would give a bad first impression and I'd prefer to examine a golem before they get smashed apart by Paxton... some sort of lure then, or an enticement..."

Reaching into her nearby pack the artificer pulled out a large sketchpad and drawing tools and began to scribble notes and plans, making calculations and measurements at a frenzied pace, muttering to herself wildly all the time. "...frostbark tincture? No, would cause too much friction on the nipples... Ahh... dragonvines..."

Charging towards the last of the robots, which seemed to be staggering around with its arm missing after being caught in Was's explosion, Idaho blasted her entire clip into it, only for the tough body armour to leave her opponent still standing. Leaping forward with a throaty growl Kimmie launched herself at the machine, knocking it to the floor with a bodyslam before straddling its chest and smashing her butt of her rifle into its head again and again until nothing remained except smashed and broken components.

Remembering what Wash had said the pink Spartan quickly spun round on the robot's chest, a maneuver she'd perfected during college spring break, and quickly started to smash apart its crotch as well, battering her rifle into the reinforced metal until both it and the robot were reduced to scrap while roaring in primeval rage.

As she stood up, tossing her bent and twisted rifle aside, Idaho quickly snatched up the robot's weapon and checked the chamber to make sure it was loaded. "Well, that was fun." Kimmie said over the radio with a smile, turning to see another group of mechanical men approaching through the side door, with Montana already storming over to greet them.

With a smile and a skip in her step the former cheerleader headed over to help smash up some more government property, Just like at cheer camp, she thought to herself happily. Reaching down to her belt, Kimmie plucked her last grenade from where it had been hanging as she closed in on the tightly packed squad.
That's two kills each for Virginia and Montana, meaning only one damaged robot from the original opponents are still in play, with the second wave being intercepted as they arrive by Montana. With Washington's explosive double kill that leaves Montana lagging behind the others, yet to score a kill of his own.

Missouri seems to be playing the waiting game, having taken cover somewhere on the field, keeping clear of the robots and his teammates, and I for one am hoping on a strong second half play from the rookie.

And with the team going into the second quarter, here's a word from our sponsors, Elite Chow, the only food that tries to eat you!
