I guess my comfort zone is "eccentric side character."

Harry sat up after the sword was moved from his neck and realized that everything felt much lighter then it did a few seconds ago. So he asked "Did you do something to make my body less able to move just now? Because everything feels much lighter." Harry could feel his explosion ahd burned him some but it didnt seem like anything major.
The music ended with a flourish as the match drew to a close, and Johann sheathed his blade with satisfaction. He stood up, walking over to the pair of fighters without making a single sound be bowing his head to them. "Thank you for the match." he said quietly.
The song tones it down a little as the dust starts to settle, quiets, each measured pluck of sound adding to the drama of the situation. As though the music itself was on the edge of its seat, waiting to see what came of this.
I'm also still here and also kind of stuck at the moment.
Lily's reaction when the smoke dissipates and she gets a good look at the scene before her is immediate, almost automatic. It's like watching a sleepwalker suddenly awaken. She stands, walking over to each of the hijackers in turn to make sure that they're dead. After ascertaining that they were, in fact, deceased in the traditional sense she picks the leader and tears off the mask covering his face, opening up his eyes, peering down his throat, and generally checking over his body for wounds or any sort of identification. While studying the corpse in front of her she says to the air "Someone make sure the cops know what's happened, they don't get many chances to show off so they might still be really eager to storm this bus." (Can Lily determine cause of death from a cursory examination of the body?)
"Yes, yes, wonderful cause of...?" a voice cuts through the silence. Lily lays her head against the window, watching the men closely. "Come on," she says, "Before you all get snipered and I have to figure it out the hard way." She takes her hand and taps two fingers on her neck, right where their marks are. "What's that? And if you would all share your names and medical histories right now it would save me some time later." She locks eyes with the one of them, the ball of nerves that had been sweating and shaking moments earlier, and very pointedly says, "I'm a coroner, you see?"

I'm here, but unless someone takes a run at our flag there nothing I can really do.
Public transport. Crammed into a metal box with a dozen other people driven by an incompetent over the bumpy, poorly maintained roads of Pyrrhic. Bumped up against others, sharing their space, having to listen to whatever sort of sound they decided to make. Lily Carnation did not relish this. But she didn't have a car and it was too far to walk to work. Sometimes she considered just living at the morgue. She stayed late enough, and got there early enough, that no one would probably notice. Except today, that is, the day the bedraggled old alarm clock in her apartment had decided to die. So now not only where there more people than she was used to dealing with, but the driver was even more of an incompetent than usual. She done her best at the start of this hellish ride to tune out everyone else and start intently out the window, but even she was noticing that this idiot was going to be giving her some work if he didn't stop joyriding around. Blissfully, though, the rind was almost over. She reached up and pulled the yellow cord above her head as her stop came into sight. Then she pulled twice more as the stupid bastard didn't seem to be slowing down. Then she stared, mouth agape, as they rolled past the morgue and away around a corner, nearly trashing a newsstand in the process. She stood up. "Hey! What the...." She started, then became aware that this was a situation and slowly sat back down. She looked around, confused. How the hell had she missed this? Why hadn't anyone told her this was happening? Two things jumped out at her first off: first, the marking on their necks. Some bodies had shown up recently that had that same mark, carved into the skin. Secondly, she recognized someone. Recognized someone she had shot at once. She'd been tracking one of her bodies (Walden McMillan, age 34) and caught up to it just as this guy had finished devouring it. That was one of the few pages in her files that she'd had to leave blank. It wasn't a nice feeling when that happened. Not a nice feeling at all. She looked around at the rest of the gunmen and bitterly remembered that her weapons were still at the office. With no other options she hunkered down, tried not to draw any more attention to herself, and watched that guy in case he tried something and got shot.
Emily is accepted. Someone took the elf comment to heart perhaps? Sorry for the inactivity. I hope people are still interested to play? I can try starting it up soon if we would like.

Yeah, I am.
Just how many wizards were around here. This guy, that other guy, the weird toad that'd just shot other guy. Was there some sort of secret school around here? He didn't get to ride that train of thought very far before what only as some sort of giant death bug descended on him, all blades and wing beats. As he fell backwards into the mud away from the swipe of its claws that ghost hand streaked back over and deflected a strike that would have taken off his head with Matt's knife. He'd been attacked by bees before, and though this wasn't a bee it looked like a sort of bug. There was one surefire way to get away from bees, and it was right behind him. He threw his bag on the ground, scrambled to his feet, leaped into the lake, and dived. I was a lot deeper than he though it was, and dropped off very close to the shore. Had he dumped that rhino into the deep end? Weren't they endangered? Could they swim? He looked around for the rhino.

Uh huh, also stop calling me money bags Oliver said and he walked into the elevator, and noticed a vent, and squeezed his tiny little furry body through the vent and noticed a hole bunch of wires. Smiling as he unsheathed one of his claw and cut all of the wires except for 1 which was holding up the elevator, in a single swipe then he quickly gotten out of the elevator as it turned off, and was unusable, well, its safe to say that the elevator is gone

All Shemp does is stare at him for a few long moments that stretch into eternity. "I meant find a switch or something, you idiot, not break it! I swear to god if we get our asses kicked again because of you....I just....hrrrrrrrr!" A small part of his brain screamed at his to paint this booth with the cats brain, and he had to grab both of his arms to keep that from happening. He stood there gripping himself and seethed.
