@Konica - Well ... if real life's kicking your rear, you do what you gotta do! I realize that we're all very busy in our lives, be it school, work, career pursuits, exciting interests, or other more pressing responsibilities, but in a way feel like I haven't done enough to collaborate more with you so that we can better flesh out Adrianna's arc. I will credit @Nevis in raising a point that there's been an awful lot of action and a lack of opportunities for our characters to settle down and have an opportunity to interact or bridge connections between one another.

Let me know how I can help you to see if we can work something out with your participation and continued activity within Altaea because your presence and involvement is heavily valued. If you'd like for Lady Heurassein to take a back-seat or for much shorter posts within Lady Heurassein's arcs please don't hesitate to express your two cents and requests so that I can make Altaea a more enjoyable, digestible, and cinematic experience!

The same applies to all of you so don't hesitate to speak up 8)
@SkullsandSlippers - Pneumonia, teaching, understaffing, and non-existent playoffs for the 2015 - 2016 Senators? Yep, that'll do ya in 8P. I've been fighting off a cold myself and getting a head start on projects due in a couple weeks due to the wedding in mid-April. Looking forward to any questions you might have and the new posts 8)

@FernStone - Please bring back souvenirs and sketches of whatever Spanish coastal paradise you're at so that the jellies don't torment our souls. ;P
Well ... I certainly didn't know you did art work, Nevis! You're definitely onto something with those drawings and having them really adds more life to the story. I especially like the way you implemented the clothing patterns and anticipate future revisions! You'll have to update us on the progress of all those sketches and show us your sketching progressions because the rough drafts have a ton of potential 8). I'll have to draft more sketches of my own so ... let's keep this up, Nevis, and together, we'll grow as writers, draftsmen, and artists!

In the future, I intend to free hand sketch and paint these two images to bring several characters to life in the visual format:

After a several brief and private discussion with other writers both participating and elsewhere; I have decided that I will continue moving Altaea along through Episode 2 before reaching an appropriate point where there will be more organic opportunities for adding more writers. As such, for everyone still tuning in, we will be continuing onwards to explore the Palais where secrets and mysteries await unravelling 8).
Palais de Voltas Sewers – Lucius and Company

The journey through the sewers proved dank and reeked of a filth more perverse than anything that filled the Palais strike gatherers' nostrils. Nevertheless, their travels through the filthy sewers commenced without complications. The deeper Lucius and company ventured, the more frequently they encountered patrols stalking above the various sewers grates lining the avenues that leading through and around the Palais. Lord Bahram had remained silent throughout their travels while Councillor Gisgo lead alongside Daedhel as they forced the bound and gagged Chevalier Lenois forward with alarming efficiency.

Within a remarkably short journey, the assaulters arrived under a vertical cavern where his eyes ventured towards the opening from above. A sense of recognition and sadness flashed before his eyes as he gazed through the steep vertical leading directly into one the Palais' outhouses. Lucius had only opened his mouth when he noticed large rotund flesh lined with hair that resembled butt cheeks. A moment later, a squelching sound that resembled an obnoxious slushy fart echoed from above where a small tide of pastey filth fumbled downwards and upon the murkey sewer channels below. Lucius gimped leap very narrowly allowed him to escape, however the gagged Chevalier as the sludging human waste mercilessly coated her form.

As Chevalier Lenois uttered short muffled curses, the Prince stifled the instinctive urge of extreme laughter and directly turned towards his elemental companions where he firmly wedged into a spot between the two elementalists. His eyes darted between his various companions where a sense of relief and burden filled his heart. They were gambling on the notion that they could defy odds and remove Conqvist's Seer, yet everything had seemed to stack against them. His faith was unwavering, yet the fear that not all would survive the night lingered from within.

β€œOna,” he quietly whispered as he placed an hand along her shoulder. His eye briefly strayed towards a necklace bearing a metal object tucked into her dress before he opened his mouth, β€œI fear we may not much time and this maybe perhaps the only unguarded opening that won't draw any considerable attention towards our … uninvited arrival. What can you see from above and … what is the condition surrounding the Lord Sovereign's Seer?”

Palais de Voltas Sewers – Councillor Gisgo

Within the sewer tunnels leading past the outhouse, the sounds of the ocean and the pounding surf could be heard from the location of Councillor Gisgo's defensive location along a particularly narrow, sewer walkway. Even as she held the filth ridden Chevalier with relative ease and hints of utter amusement, her eyes strayed back and forth between the silent Lord Bahram and the armored Uriel with utmost curiosity. After planting a swift kick to the Chevalier's abdomen, the Councillor craned whilst keeping a tolerable distance from the Chevalier location.

β€œYou will answer for what you've done to our children, Lady Gypsy, and may all of Ivalis set their eyes upon your soul! In time, even we will uncover what stench brews through your Lord Sovereign and his masters!”

β€œDaedhel,” she firmly addressed upon turning towards the slayer-assassin whilst eyeing both the mysterious Uriel and the reserved Lord Bahram, β€œThis armored man who calls himself Uriel and the Sarifen whom heils only as Lord Bahram. I sense a particular familiarity regarding those two although I can't quite place a finger upon where or to what occasion we've met outside the unspeakable banquet! Their bravery is unquestionable, however, it is altogether questionable as to whether they have ambitions aligning with our own. Personally, I find the ones both mysterious and silent to be the most deadly! What do you know of them?”
@Nevis – The Palace attack truly doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room for new player character introductions unless they indeed turn against Conqvist so you make a solid point. It's not entirely impossible for new characters to appear in the other arc, which involves Lady Heurassein, Fadl, Ash, and the surviving Secondary characters. When we do conclude Episode II, new opportunities to invite a newer supporting cast will be available.

Currently many of us seem occupied with academia or other priorities so it will take some time after Spring Break and the Vacation Hangover-Hump to get back into gear. I won't be going anywhere and will be here to listen to what everyone has to say because we have a great story with a unique cast. More than anything, adding a bigger cast wouldn't hurt, but frequent activity would go a long ways to advancing through the Palais Episode where secrets and conspiracies could potentially await discovery and unravelling.
@FernStone - Yes, you mentioned vacationing time. Looking forward to your two cents as with everyone else's thoughts on the current progression of Altaea's storyline.

So … how's everything coming along, everyone and how have your weeks been?

I realize it's been a bit quiet, both in the OOC and IC and I figured that with only a couple of us posting, it's a sign of waning interest in Altaea. We all have priorities in real life and places to be and I feel it's time for a discussion as to how you all feel about the story thus far, the way it's been presented, as well as who's still interested. Mark my words, I want to see that Altaea, the critical plot avenues, and our main characters are given justice so … I will continue the story even if we only have a few writers onboard.

On the other hand, I want to know all your thoughts so that we can find the best fit for this story, schedules, and motivations for our characters.

I see a couple options and I will list them out:

1) I can continue onwards and wait for posts from all the other writers. This past year has seen Altaea move slowly and I realize that the pacing's been relatively snail-like. In a sense, the slow moving plot has allowed all of us to pursue our life responsibilities without being bogged down by dozens of weekly IC posts.

2) I can write a Time Skip to Advance us through a particular part of the Storyline where our characters have a chance to separate, interact, and conduct their own agendas within Voltas. Every character has potential to fill a leadership role in the near and far future and it just seems only natural that when given room, they would pursue their own interests within different locations.

3) We can completely Reboot Altaea where I will overhaul the way Altaea is presented, written, and told where we can integrate fresh blood and new perspectives from potential writers that decide to join.

4) Last, but not least, we can agree on a Conclusion to close Altaea and go our separate ways. This will be an absolute last case scenario if we all agree on a swift Conclusion, but I do not wish to leave all our fantastic story-telling, character development, interactions, and hard work end prematurely.

I would like to know all of your thoughts and I want to re-iterate that I value your opinions and am honored to be writing this story alongside with all of you. Please let me know your thoughts and don't hesitate to ask questions or voice concerns, compliments, or areas of potential improvement.
@Nevis - Well ... if finances are rough, then it may very be unpleasant, but ahh ... do I hint a sense of jelliness here? ;^)

@Konica - Disneyland's only the first step! Disneyworld, however! Now that's altogether a different adventure ...

When I visit Diagon Alley, I will be sure to horde all the Butterbeers, Quidditch Brooms, and Olivander wands until I can spite you all and open the Gourmandius Emporium. Bwuahahaha- ... *ahem* ... 'scuse me ... needed to shake off that bit of Conqvist in me. ;P
@Konica - I hope you do find free time. When your education finishes, I am anticipating a new Bachelor's pedigree in the discipline of Konica Science that will inspire generations ;P

Bachelor's of Konica Science

@FernStone - The usual Fern Vacation that span across continents. Please take pictures and send gifts from Spain because we are very envious of so many English - European adventures. If not ... well ... I will take comfort in knowing that at least one of us is an International Trabadour, ahahahahaha XP.

Spring Break's coming for me so free time will be more widespread, if only for a week and then I'll spend a week in Disney World as Groomsman for a very close friend.

Can you all imagine having a Wedding in DisneyWorld?!!
