It's time for some May madness now that a post is on the way. About halfway done with surprises ahead for our small group. After Finals tomorrow, I should breathe easier knowing that I'm only one Final away from earning my Bachelor's instead of 2. I hope to be also be traveling in the future and exploring the world after academia to influence my writing and to cherish the meaning of cross-country journeying 8).
@Nevis & @FernStone - Welp! rolls sleeves Ona has spoken and now it is time that fate brings our band of disenfranchised exiles into the fray and see where the story takes them!
@Nevis - May there be many Altaean Rhymes for the future and tales that inspire the new generations following the dark times plaguing Carcassonne!
@SkullsandSlippers - Yeezus ... prayers, thoughts, and blessings to your brother and your family during this difficult time. Responsibilities and events like these will kick you in the rear and when you're a home owner, working two jobs; that certainly makes crunch time more precious. My only living grandma's also needing care these days since she's over 90 years old and it doesn't help with the fact that she needs help taking care of herself. Family is family so we always put them first over everything else 8S

@Nevis - Hey! You don't get to alter chosen nicknames! Be brave and take one for the team ;)

Likewise, I think we should capitalize on our nicknames and write Altaean Children's Nursery Rhymes stories.

Edit: I have drafted one here:

From Om-nomia's Conqvist's pantry
And under the Melitan Sisters' Chantry

Beinn Nibbles went and snagged some sweets
After Voltisian merchants ran out of meats

While waiting for Morbid Fuzzy Footwear
The exiles sought entry through the King Seer's lair

All the King's Forces
And the Crown's best men
Could not outchase a magi named Beinn

@Fernstone – You have just convinced me to visit Scotland in the future, in fact, I think I will bring a few buckets since California's enduring a half decade-long drought. Recommendations on the most beautiful and scenic historical sights are preferred along with the best routes to see Hadrian's Wall if you know anything about those areas XD
@FernStone - You know ... I've always wanted to visit Scotland and in time, may take a flight over to spend a whole week or two! I know Scotland is probably a place you wouldn't find out of the ordinary since you live there, but like-wise, you would find California an adventure where as I would want to travel elsewhere 8).

We'll just hang out here and be patient with Skulls' posting date. It's been a little while since the IC's seen any plot activity. Perhaps this wait's actually a blessing in disguise, given that the extra time can be taken to ... oh ... I don't know ... flawlessly raid Conqvist's secret pastry stash without serious repercussions ;)

Extra pastries in a dark Renaissance is something to think about!!
@Nevis - Ben Nevis eh? Well ... I suppose my original name holds less meaning now that we know your first inspiration. Now according to some sources, the Scottish Gaelic version is: Beinn Nibheis.

Apparently SeΓ±ora de las Nieves hasn't quite hit the mark so I have a new nickname for you:

Bain Nibbles

Enjoy 8^)
Crazy week previously and only just beginning to settle down after a attending a very close friend's wedding and spending time with an amazing Brazilian crowd 8)

@Nevis – Gotta hand it to ya for nailing the nicknames, hahahahahaa!!

Now it's my turn and my name for you is SeΓ±ora de las Nieves – derived from the Spanish name, β€œOur Lady of the Snows” from the Carribean island of Nevis; yes it does exist ;P

@FernStone – Where's the rudeness when such names suit us so well so well XD

@SkullsandSlippers – How's that post coming along?
@SkullsandSlippers - Hope everything is well on your end and can't wait to read your new post!

@FernStone - Naayyyy to pesky tasks and distractions ... yayyyy to vague ideas and a soon to be post 8D
The Councillor Gisgo's suspicions only further emphasized her skepticism through the frown that had begun to spread across her face. Whilst the Sarifen remained strangely silent, there was no doubt in her mind that this armored man, Uriel, defied all conventional logic through his stalwart resolve to follow his comrades to the end. In principle, such loyalty was unquestionably rare and ideally impressive given the nature, in which circles of power shifted on a whim.

The reality of his words and intentions proved far more consequential in that his remarks bordered on under-estimating Ivalis' prevalence across the globe. So much to the point where his words could have easily been interpreted as a slight against Ivalian principles. At the heart of the man's answers, he had missed an opportunity to possibly strengthen Ivalian support that could greatly work in his favor during a critical moment of what would inevitably prove to be a pivotal night within the continent's destiny.

Exasperated, the Prince ushered Uriel behind him before politely voicing, β€œWe are certainly not moving any closer to achieving our goals if our words are fostering new enemies. Councillor, what our companion meant is that we wish to convey the utmost blessings through common mutual interests through Athirat's splendor! In time … all shall prosper as has all of Ivalis ...”

Through a smirk, the Councillor remarked, β€œPray your companions display your wisdom, Comte Le Crosse. These judgmental times leave many without a chance at continuing their lives and wisdom must be drawn from even the most unreachable depth”

β€œUriel,” he whispered as the Councillor moved to bring the bound Chevalier towards the pounding surf, β€œWhen there is time, perhaps we should discuss matters in private. For now, you mustn't speak your mind lest your words threaten to kill us all! Ona, what have you uncovered across the Palais grounds?”
@Konica - Well, at any rate, I can't speak for everyone else, but I wish you the very best with school and your career, Konica! We didn't get to see a whole lot of Lady Heurrassein, but to say the least, our collaborations were certainly meaningful. Be sure to stop in to say hello if you get a chance and let us know what we can do for you if ya decide on returning.

Good luck out there and keep in touch!! 8)
