... dammit.

This was definitely not going well, considering that they had multiple targets to take care of now. If it really got dicey, the bounty hunter was thinking on getting herself out of there if she can. But... he would be disappointed in her if she did that... if he managed to find her...

Not hesitating or yielding to hear what the voice in her head wanted to say, Lapis let loose several rounds from her hybrid weapon, using her crystallization abilities to make those crystal lances. Five lances in total, and she didn't care who it hit first, as long as it was one or more of those four. Lapis stayed where she was behind the rubble for cover, but keeping an eye on her crystal that came from the Adamas Trias, it was set on the ground like a harmless piece of art.

Before calling the crystal back to her, her eye gave off a vibrant flash of blue, and the lances that she had let loose moments earlier had brutally expanded into a spiky crystallized mess for the supposed Alliance of Conquerers.

I should keep my Adamas Trias crystals safe... like hell I'm going to risk getting those smashed up...

As she stored the crystal away in her pockets, Lapis had a worry... what happened to the voice in her head? Sure, she ignored it constantly, ignored the girl's voice... but it worried her that she had gone silent...

Humans? Wiped out by a flood? What a weird timeline, in Add's opinion. It wasn't so surprising to him to hear this, considering that he can travel to different timelines as much as he likes... well, until now. The best he could do is pull in little bits at a time, and dragging his laboratory to spacially replace the main lobby of this skyscraper was already a chore enough.

"Then I suppose we all come from drastically different timelines... wonderfully interesting... isn't it?"

The Esper took a quick glance at his computer console, and two things happened to come up. While the latter matter seemed much more urgent and interesting, the other matter needed to be taken care of first. For his sake of nto having to deal with a whiny squid girl.



"Ah, by the way, Ika, thank me later... and by this, you're now in my debt... kekekeh..." Add made this comment as he gestured over to the empty counter that was nearby. As a purple glow was fading away, he managed to spacially pull in a whole supply of shrimp into the laboratory. He would've gotten the video games that Ika wanted, but of course, he had no idea where to begin with that timeline search as there seemed to be different derivatives of "video games." No way was he going to waste his time with that...

One problem down, time to look at the other impending matter.

His computer consoles were relaying back a lot of energy distortion and surges in a collective part of the ruined New York City. What this was coming from... he was terribly and wonderfully interested in researching the powers that were causing the disturbance in the first place. It exceeded even the power of the Nasods... especially the power of the Nasod Queen...

Looking over the two girls (and taking a glad note that Cia's ink did indeed disappear over time), the Esper had a special offer that was quite early to say the least.



"Say... my radar scans of this desolated city are relaying back information of other life forms here... It wouldn't be a problem to check that location out... and we can even get a good look at our threats towards... inkvading all over... Are you two willing to come along? I'm going to observe and collect samples... my interests are locked onto those anomalies..."

Add couldn't help but give a brief time of laughter to escape his lips.

~BGM - Dancer in the Dark~

♪ Why am I here? In this dark, stagnant world ♪

Silence, silence was all that Lapis took in. Wordlessly focusing her view through the broken windows of the bus and towards their opponent, Lapis aimed her katana-shotgun hybrid towards Starkiller. She heard the voices of the Witch in her head, telling her that it wasn't the time for this action. The girl ignored it all, she was going to take her chance here.

♪ The pain from these ridiculous scars never stops tormenting me for a single moment ♪

Leaving it all to her luck, Lapis pulled the trigger, and let the bullet go, letting it race towards the intended target. You must be thinking, why does she think a simple bullet would do the job? The most it could do to an opponent like this is probably get his attention. However, Lapis wasn't intending on just having a simple bullet cut it...

♪ My feelings carve into me a sense of loss and are slowly going numb ♪

As she sheathed her weapon away, Lapis focused to the bullet she had let loose. In order for this to work, she needed to focus for just a little bit... and it'll come to life.

♪ I keep counting just how much I have to offer and repeat that question, again and again ♪

With her mask only showing way for her right eye... a vibrant shade of blue erupted from that eye, the change being instantaneous... and the same was done to a strand of her hair, a beautiful shade of blue soaking over the strand of natural brown. The innate ability she had within herself, the Mark of Cristallium, was finally taking effect in battle.

♪ I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place. ♪

The bullet that was fired out milliseconds ago, this became the focal point of her Mark. All it took was a blue spark of light to surround it, and the next moment, the bullet was surrounded by a crystallizing base... effectively turning it into a speeding crystallized lance. Thin but sharp. Radiant but deadly. One could imagine that this was fired out in the moment the gunshot rang throughout the battlefield.

♪ My left arm has been blown off, and my wings have been teared off. ♪

Once that was done, Lapis took the very next second scampering away from her cover behind the bus, knowing that most would assume that she was behind there after she had fired that crystallized shot. Throwing herself behind a pickup truck, the bounty hunter pulled out one of her special crystals, one of the Adamas Trias.

♪ I keep on fighting against God in such a dirty, cruel place. ♪

Keeping her train of thought at a steady pace, she threw the crystal into the fray, having the intent of using her telepathic bond with it for her advantage. Again, she went on the move, diving behind another pile of rubble for cover. She didn't want to reveal herself straight up in this fight yet, readying her Gleaming Cleaver for another shot once the timing was right.

♪ My right arm is full of scars, and I've devoted everything. ♪

"You don't listen, you reckless fool..."

It's what I'm known for, Bern.

The girl only grinned as that thought went through.
