When do you consider an RPG to be "Dead"?

I'm trying to say what define's a GM period, I'm trying to clarify what defines/seperates a good GM from a bad one. And at the same time also get the point across than an RP isn't dead just because the GM gives up on it. I've been in RP's where that's happened and it's stayed well alive afterwards.

And obviously what makes a good or bad GM varies on the kind of RP you're using. Though I will say this, GM's who have not been able to become liked or respected by their players tend to be ones whose days are numbered until either their RP dies or until someone else get's the players favor enough to take over as the GM.

And can we get a more clear definition then on what Advanced means in this sense?
Because I'm imaging minimum 5 paragraphs where the majority needs to be filled with "The coldness of the doorknob reminds him of his cruel grandmother who would used to...".

In which case I basically dropped out of a Medium Casual RP for the same reason, they focused too much on killing space with pointless details rather than actually roleplaying and that just broke my engagement (I say basically dropped out because they begged me to stay, so I said I'd stay subscribed and re-join if the post length dropped to a level that didn't seem to be majority filling up space).

I'm fine with dedication to lore, that makes for better RP's in my experience.

I do have a question though, I noticed a number of NPC's pop up in 1st squad. I'm well aware that they're there to be realistic so we can have ODSTs die without being PCs. But are these NPCs going to be RP'd much and/or given much personality, or are they mainly just cannon fodder?

I don't care about being offended, that ultimately means nothing.
Otherwise it becomes a common cop out simply when someone says something you don't agree with.

I was criticizing it for it being a baseless attack on people due to what chromosomes they were born with.

Just cause something worse happens elsewhere doesn't mean another act should be ignored.
Ex: I got mugged on the way home from school, but I shouldn't complain because other people get raped when they do so.

And simply defaulting to "It's a joke" doesn't really help it.
Like my earlier example "All women getting worked up over things" would not simply be seen as ok if I went "But it was a joke".
