Though, to answer seriously (Note, I comment as someone who has absolutely zero interest in ever seeing the book or movie).

Gonzo said Not only does he stalk Anastasia, but takes her home, undresses and changes her (while she is DRUNK), then tells her he is going to keep tabs on her for "her benefit."

Gonzo said What does Christian do after submitting Ana to her first (and very traumatizing, I might add) experience? Leave. Yep. That's right folks, he leaves, and on top of that, gets mad at Ana for not telling him she was hurt

Gonzo said he undresses her while she is drunk. He tracks her phone. Sends a shit ton of emails and texts, that in some parts of the books, make her uncomfortable.

Gonzo said In fact, it most likely will show guys it's okay to be a total ass hole, and an abusive fuck

This basically just sounds like Twilight (Which scaringly enough, my Mom is also crazy over... My Mom has issues with taste in books and movies :/).
Like seriously, this is the same routine over and over again now.

Guy's an abusive prick, but he's dark and mysterious about it... and dangerous, so girls gush over it completely forgetting the fact that the dude is a fucking manipulative asshole! >.<
Based on your description, the only point I can give 50 shades over Twilight is that at least the Girl isn't also a manipulative/abusive bitch.

Gonzo said -A bunch of BDSM stuff-

By the way you spoke in this I assume you take part in BDSM frequently?

I myself am a Virgin, so I have zero sex experience... let alone experience in kinks.
But I do know people into that shit, and from what I understand from them it really is a insanely caring and loving practice.
Just one that's constantly painted by media to be bad and dark because it involves bindings, and some level of (consensual) pain.

But honestly? That is hardly surprising.
We live in a society where sex is still a hugely taboo thing, where stuff like "No sex until marriage" are still very common concept's and practices. And where people like me who are "Save sex for someone you love" is also very common. A lot of people see Sex as primarily a bad thing save for certain circumstances, as a taboo thing. It makes sense then that more extreme versions then are seen with a shade of negativity (Pun not intended) and a lot of the fans/readers of such book are drawn into it cause of the mysterious/danger factor.

Essentially, if casual sex was more widely accepted and more people were willing to try non-traditional forms of it I don't think stuff like 50 Shades of Grey would have nearly as many misconceptions made, nor would such books have such a big following in the first place.
Am I the only one who has a mother who was really excited for this movie? :/
Thanks :P
And I just edited my CS's in the OOC with the Vanity pics.

I'm up for Halo Reach if it is free on LIVE. I do own a CD copy, but it one day stopped working so I haven't been able to play Reach forever now.
Replaced my character pics with Vanity versions.

What kind of maps are these? o.O
Just wondering why everyone is posting their own thread about loving spam, rather than keeping it in one thread?

It's almost like... you're spamming spam. :P
I'll be updating my CS's later with Vanity pictures if I can get the program to work (It's installing atm).
It depends on what you count as an RP.

My outright #1 is a star wars RP I was in from a site off the Guild. But technically speaking it wasn't just one RP, but a ton of smaller RP's that all merged together in one universe and timeline. So if a multi-forum, multi-topic (and even multi-site due to site upgrading) RP's count that would be my number 1. It lasted for a long time, the community was close, all the characters were memorable and we just got so much done. I feel like I should go into more detail, but there's just too much to cover and if I tried I'd simply be flooding this page with text.

If RP is required to be within one forum/thread however, that would have to be one whose exact name escapes me (It was erased on the Old Guild cause of the crash, so I can't go back and check) but it was essentially a SAW rip-off. But instead the killer was known as a game master, and trapped a number of teenager's in this corridor/area where the Game Master would constantly throw them into sick tests and punishments in order to control them and make the kids fight for survival. Ultimately we all broke out though and it was one of few RP's on the Guild I've ever been in that actually finished and closed.

I enjoyed that one because community was also close (smaller, and not as close mind you as the Star Wars one), we all worked together to advance the plot. Never had any OOC drama, just me and one other guy sometimes playfully teasing another member of the group in jest. That and there was one player in that group where that RP largely contributed to us starting another really successful RP which was 1x1, which also finished, and was also a contender for #1 RP if the Star Wars one didn't count. Same person also having taught me how to play D&D 3.5 before we ended up losing contact with one another. :(
Interested, but I'm also someone who only saw the show.

I also need to ask two questions.

1. What are the post requirements?
2. Is this an alternate world where the families and shit are our own, or is this taking place during, before or after the events in the book?
I'm not hating on self-benefit.

I'm simply saying she acted on self-benefit, me being in awe for her for that is like being in awe of a person for getting a promotion. Or getting their product sold in more stores. It's not a bad act by any means, but it's not really something they made an actual sacrifice for.
