When coming out from the shower I caught Rocky making the noises he makes when he thinks no one is home. So I made sure to get a recording of it this time.

Thought Manifest said it's so sad that Rocky is blind and potentially going deaf. It's so great that you're still providing a loving home for him and that he still loves people even if it's getting harder and harder for him to know when they're in the same room as him. He's adorable, regardless. Cockapoo's are so cute with their shiny, curly fur.

We'd be a rather awful household if he let him go just because he was losing his sight. :/

So you criticize strictly roleplays, no effort to separate specific kinds of players, or specific players period then it defaults to all.

+Even if free is meant to be fun those are still RP's you are abandoning your 'literary medium' beliefs for.
So is it more accurate to say you expect Casual and Advanced RP's to be not for fun for as a literary medium?
If so, you still need to explain why you aren't account for fun RP's in them.

And if the answer is something along the lines of "Only certain one of those need to be". Then you've got nothing to complain about, the Guild is already like that.
You have some for fun, you have some meant to be more serious. If you end up in a fun one that's not a problem with the site, just like luck of draw when it came to the style of the RP you happened to sign up for.

Halo said All I can think in response is "no shit, dude." That's pretty obviously something people will take exception to. Make whatever choices you want, but don't expect people to not be surprised or shocked by an unusual stance on a very personal topic.

Stuff like this (not you specifically, but people who apply to what you're describing) is part of why I say people need thicker skin.
It's fine to not understand/relate to a certain stance, but people get mortified and offended by shit like this far too easily.

It's basically the human condition. I'll grant you, just cuz we've been doing the funeral thing since forever, doesn't necessarily mean that's automatically the best way. But it does probably mean that most people it's the best way, as that's been reinforced every generation since Adam and Eve (or Caesar the ape, or whatever). Hopefully that helps explain the reaction.
