@Magic Magnum, luv the cup. I want one that says 'yeah bitch science' or somethin idk

My mug is just the best! :P
I use it all the time now when I need a mug for something.
Basically what if we all got together and created our own system for forum roleplay's that uses stuff such as dice, stats, character sheets etc so there's some other sense of character advancement and some limit to what characters can do rather than just what's typed in the post goes?

Any starting ideas?

I'm think we start with the core.
Abilities such as:

-Strength
-Dexterity
-Constitution
-Intelligence
-Wisdom
-Charisma
-Attractiveness

But instead of simple point buy for abilities alone like in D&D it's more GURP's like in the sense each RP has a set amount of points to spend on characters, but these points can be spent anywhere, skills, gear, contacts, abilities, you name it, and some things like flaws/disadvantages can be taken which give you more points to spend.

Though we'd have to be careful to allow this to still be open to creativity in the RP, and be vague enough that people don't mix-max they're characters and take away from roleplaying, but in depth enough to add some kind of structure to the RP and character.

Turt has a similliar system up already here.
But I'm looking for something more expansive/complete that can encompass any RP style/setting that has a clear way of making, generation and improving your character.

Don't worry. I have your record beat. There's still time and I bet a lot of people exaggerate on their sex life anyways. Although in my case I truly don't care so I can't exactly speak for you wither this is a big deal or not.

That was largely internet sarcasm. :P
In other words, like you I don't really give a shit if I've had sex yet or not.
I'm one of those "I need to feel really close to you first" kinds of people, and only one person was ever like that for me so far in life and it was an online relationship hence the still virgin part.

It's just turning 20 in little over a month and still a virgin is something many people say something like "You poor, unliving thing!".
So I like to poke fun at it time to time.
This is more appropriate being in Members lounge.

You had a fan club? Were all the members stoned?

Most of them were people I chatted with in Tiny Chat a few years ago.

+1 from average for giving me a creepy feeling.

Although if one sees it as just a way of getting off, it’s just the same as if you were to masturbate to pornographic pictures or movies.

Good point.
In that sense we're entering the realm of interactive porn.

Well this was the image for my fan group/club back on the old Guild.

Stuff like magic needs to be very well watched.

I once was an admin for a star wars RP site where a dozen of us did a ton of different star wars RP with the same characters, but we organized all RP's in a timeline so in a sense it was one giant RP/adventure that lasted for about 3 years. All of our most memorable moments were when power levels are lower, the force wasn't something seen often and if it was then it was usually the enemy.

The second players started getting force sensitive the story kept moving, but the power level went through the roof and backtracking to a lower power level just made us feel robbed. So by the time our adventure was finished and we 'saved the galaxy' there wasn't much else to do, so our ice cream melted and we all eventually drifted off, some of the Guild and others simply stopping roleplaying period.

Stuff like that is something that really needs to be looked out for when magic enters, how much? Can you back track without bad effects? Will this cause a power rush that will melt the ice cream you worked so hard to create? There's a lot of charm in lower powered campaigns and roleplay's that a lot of people don't see value in until you've tried it yourself and overcame the challenges in other means, And once magic/the taste of greater power has been introduced, it's almost impossible to shake off.

TLDR: Caution. Brovo has some good guidelines if you decide to bring it in to begin with.
But before you even look at those ask if you even want to take the RP to such a power level, do you want results determined partially by a greater/mystical power that players can control directly? Is this something you think you can been controlled and stable, or something that will cause a forever power ramp?
