I just ran across this and felt I should share. The term pussy isn't even based off a females part. It's a shortened version of the word "Pusillanimous" which means to be lacking courage, or to be timid.

I'd link it to the definition on the dictionary but I'm my phone atm where doing so would take forever cause I'd have to do it manually.
EXTERMINATE ALL THE BLORBS!!!
EXTERMINATE!!! EXTERMINATE!!!

(By Exterminate I mean eat :P)

I feel like I've mentioned this a number of times in the past, but anyways. My username is the name of a village in a story I've worked on since my childhood. It was my first serious aspiration to write a book, and because of that, I used it as my first writing-based username account, back on the OldGuild. I now use it as my primary username, as it is the most personalized and original one I use.My profile picture (and signature) is based off a WotM entry I wrote back on the OldGuild. It was by no means my best entry and didn't win anything, but I considered it one of the most distinguishable ones I've written, and the story stuck with me. It is the tale of a mage-boy who watches his childhood friend get killed and goes on a quest to find a magical item that can bring her back. However, this item demands ten thousand souls in exchange. He then goes from a boy killing the odd criminal, to a young man serving in the military, to a mercenary, until he eventually becomes a killer so powerful and obsessed that he goes off to slaughter entire nations single-handedly.

That actually sounds like a really cool idea.

Definitely something I'd watch if it was a movie or animation.

And I am appalled at the idea, and reality, that the Government can tell me what to do, and how to live. If I don't like their ideas, their private enforcement officers will either arrest me, or try to coerce me to pay a fine, and if I refuse? Then I get arrested. For example: Say I hate being in a car, and using a seat belt*. I'm well aware of the risks and potential hazards of not wearing it, but not wearing it endangers no one else, but my own life. I do not agree with the idea that the Government should have the authority to make laws to protect us, from ourselves. If someone chooses to do something stupid that doesn't endanger anyone else? To me, that is their prerogative, their responsibility, and their freedom to do so.* I would wear my seat belt regardless of law or now laws to the effect of wearing it.

I do agree with the general point you're making.

But in terms of seat belts specifically the others are right.
Not wearing one can turn you into another projectile/danger to others in an accident.

I'm having decent trouble accepting the legitimacy of the article.
But this one honestly doesn't shake or surprise me if it is true.

Those who chose to have abortions (Outside of Mother is going to die otherwise cases) don't view said aborted baby/fetus as a life.
They view it as a clump of cells, a parasite, not a human being. So if they are already saying such a thing is so insignificant and unvaluable until it reaches a certain point, it doesn't seem far off to look at the remains of it and go "How can we recycle this to aid society?" rather than treat it like a deceased person.
If by creepy you mean able to survive anything? Then yes, you're right. :P
I should probably clarify.

I wasn't meaning to say "Look at this case, it's obviously about control".
I was using it as a reference for what image had lead me to ask the question in the first place. Then in extension, I noted it as a possibility, but was also asking out of curiosity if people thought there was more to this case specifically, and if people could give any logical reasons for it since the original group wasn't really saying anything outside of "Just because" which I never accept as a legit reason.

I like the answers that's been coming here though, and they probably are what goes on in a lot of people's heads.
In extension, I guess the "It's only me" thing is also part of why Monogamous relationships appeal to so many people and got started in the first place among us, even though we are a polygamous species if we simply followed our hormones.

Oh there are definitely people who simply like exercising control over others. I'd even go so far as to say many such people exist. Look at any field where someone is put in a position of power over others, from Company Executives to Military Generals to your wife-beater wearing actual wife-beaters.It comes down to the "human herd mentality" idea. Some people are sheeple, others are wolves who fancy being shepherds.

It is definitely something I think more people need to learn to get over/get past if we want to function better as a society.
Normally it's those who seek such power and authority who do bad with it cause they just use it to feel dominant over others.

Very strongly Left Libertarian, RPG is.

I'm not surprised.
From personal observation the Authoritarian Right wing people are more likely to be the kind who want to Judge/force their views on others (Hence authoritarian) and usually dislikes Governments getting involved in matters so they often have strong and/or aggressive views in politic's. This can lead to those who disagree (Left wing fundamentalists) to feel more ignored or discriminated against when the right wing authoritarians start to get mad or bash on them for their views.

Causing them to find acceptance in online communities such as the Guild.

I wouldn't say that's necessarily a good thing. The last forum I was on had a very strong left-libertarian community and the Politics section basically devolved into a massive socialist circle jerk who bitched to people with differing opinions to themselves and arguing about trivial politics that they didn't understand. I'm a lefty and even I saw that. It's nice that this community is actually mature enough the respect other peoples opinions and aren't pushed out.

That has more to do with a person's maturity when it comes to politic's and different view points than it has to do with their actual political stance.
