People having ready made defenses against something that only one person has so far is a bit out there, yeah. But having telepathy that nobody can even tell is active is just broken from the start.

People can learn how to block physical attacks pretty much instantly. I'm not saying it's the same as a mental attack but it's a whole lot closer than figuring out how to solve a random computer problem from scratch.

Speaking of having ready made mental defenses. I'm with Ryonara on this one. Just happening to have been trained by some level of telepath in case somebody with an incredibly rare semblance happens to attack her is really fortunate and specific.

I'm throwing my lot in the pot in the defense of Prince, though my input may seem invalid due to being a fellow co-GM and our characters are on the same team. But, I can confirm that Sapphire's background was written to be that way from the start. However, it's my understanding that Sapphire may have some slight resistance to mental attacks such as forms of being tortured, things of that nature. Not to say she's completely immune against telepaths, but has a higher resistance against them due to her essential 'training' by her father.

Hell, I could claim Shiro has some sort of resistance against mental attacks because it's a jumbled scramble in his noggin but I won't. Should Ebon decide it profitable to attempt to mine his head for information, he'd only really find everything up until one of Shiro's "reset points". Poor guy already sees things that aren't there and voices that tell him nasty things. Ebon digging around in there wouldn't be pretty. For whom, I couldn't tell.
I saw it before I posted, since I was mostly talking about the Grimm in the lake I don't think there is anything extremely relevant that needs altering but if you see something tell me.

Wasn't sure if his little fit of kitty rage was enough to antagonize the Grimm at all. That was really the only reasoning behind my mention of it.
@harinezumikouken I think I already told you she wasn't going to take it all too well. I mean she'll defend him to the last from anybody else but it won't stop her from kicking his ass.

Also, hate to do this to you but I posted just a bit before you did. Gloss it over and see if you need to edit your post any?

Shiro is having a bit of a fit.
@Prince of Seraphs - It's going to be a fun day when Sapphire gets hit with Shiro's Semblance, huh?
Kuhaku Shiro - Lake

Startled by the sudden appearance of two odd looking drones, Shiro nearly tossed his newly gifted Scroll aside from the shock. Thankfully, he didn't, interrupted mid-completion of his message. Locking the plastic-wrapped device and pocketing it, Shiro tilted his head in curiosity at the machines. They didn't look like anything that belonged to the Beacon Academy proper. They appeared unique and to be custom built. When their lights flooded on and bathed everything in brightness, Shiro flinched and brought up his arms to shield his eyes. His vision eventually restoring, he swam a little closer to the drones and watched intently as they began to work. It looked as though they Drones were sorting through the treasure pile. Removing anything that resembled a short sword or dagger and organizing them into their own separate spot. Smiling in Gren's rebreather, Shiro figured that Gren had worked quickly and filled in everyone topside before they jumped in after them. These drones must've been the weapons belonging to another classmate of his. What useful creations they were, working as quickly and efficiently as they did. He'd have to thank their creator once this mission was complete. As fast as they were working to pick apart the mound of refuse, it looked like this mission would be done sooner rather than later. Continuing his dig through the collection of junk, he decided that it may help the drones work faster if Shiro scattered the contents of the junk pile around. Instead of one single aggregate cluster to have to dig through. Completely forgetting to send his message to Gren and the others.

As his claws worked to separate the materials, something dawned on him. Shiro didn't know exactly how the daggers even looked. Stopping, he realized what a conundrum he was in. He surely had some idea of what they looked like, Sapphire fought and used them a couple times around him. But, due to Sapphire's unapproachable demeanour Shiro never took a deep interest in her equipment as he did with other student's weapons.

Scream garbled by bubbles and lake water, Shiro had a breakdown.
Curses censored by the rebreather, he flailed and randomly swung around at the open water.
Stomping and kicking, punching and swinging.
He grabbed at his silvery-white hair, unable to believe that he'd been so foolish and stupid.
Shiro doesn't know what Sapphire's daggers even looked like.
You'd think that the most important part of his little mission was to familiarize himself with the object he was attempting to retrieve.

Nope. Just stripped down, grabbed some goggles, a light, and dive right in.

"FFFFFFFUUUUUUUU...........!!!!!!!!!!!"
That and I'm sure that would be a terrifying fight.

Shiro's Semblance messes with the senses. Ebon's messes with minds and if he fucks around in Shiro's dome that's a quick way to turn him unstably feral.

Ebon may or may not actually black mail Shiro. At this point he is looking for Sapphire's daggers with the intent on using them for his own gain, which may involve black mailing Shiro. Or just calling finders-keepers.

And to me telepathy is much like hearing someone talk: All you have to do is listen. You can whisper to try to hide it, but that implies you know someone is trying to listen. Most people aren't aware of telepaths since they don't go around making it obvious someone is listening in on their thoughts. And as long as Ebon doesn't actually try to speak back, most people wouldn't notice he's listening in unless they actually notice him.

It may be obvious since he has to look at them, but would you really think that everyone that looks at you is reading your mind? Ebon glares at people all the time anyways.

If Ebon attempts to claim finders-keepers, Shiro won't take that sitting down. It's a guaranteed fight.
Well, unless sometimes stops the R-Types hopefully Ebon finds them first. He's got plenty to use and they're not easy to take out either.

What's the timing of the R-Types arrival at that junk pile in accordance to Shiro's arrival?
Well in my next post Ebon just glared at Sapphire for some reason, so if you want to have her take notice feel free. It'll even give Shiro some time to find those daggers before he does.

He won't actually find it until @Prince of Seraphs dictates that he does.
