We're coming for you icon!
a bit late. But the sirens as mermaids is taken from germanic tales, where the river sirens are beautiful women.

A glowing blue and green marble. To the people of earth, their planet was a wonder, a unique thing. Of course, you’d think the abundance of things like alien invaders and superheroes would lessen their opinion of the thing. But no, Terrans were annoyingly self contained nad ignorant. Hara sat comfortably, one foot on the console and a cigarr between his fingers as he watched the planet from the bridge of his “Ghost” Class cruiser.

“I don’t get it.” Huey said, nursing his own drink. “Why isnt this planet part of C.O.R.E or FPU.” The massive, hard carapaced fishman asked as he downed his fifth drink for the evening. Wiping his mouth on the back of one giant hand.

“Its a relatively small planet. Its resources are already being depleted by it locals, and they are behind the space-relevance curve” Hara shrugged, idly eyeing the information scrolling across the screen. “While also boosting a truly bizarre amount of telepaths, metabiological anomalies and mystics. Making integration of them into a pan galactic network a risk.”

“Ah.”

“Don’t Ah me. What are you thinking, brother of mine?”

“The whole “raid CORE ships, beat up guards and get away routine is… boring’” Huey mutters as he punch in a few words into the data base.

“Computer. Show me a list of terran defense systems.” Huey eyed the screen as it showed various locations of interest, and military satellites. They could punch into the Terran airspace and likely lay waste to a large city by the time earth could mount a proper military response. No, the problem would be the Metas and their ilk. There were so many of them after all.

“Are you spoiling for a fight?” Hara leaned forward, his eye suddenly fixed on his massive brother in arms.” His uncovered eye suddenly twinkling with the notion of chaos and some fun. huey was the calmer of them by a longshot, but if Huey was up for a spill down on earth to sate their boredom. Oh, that was basicly the go ahead for the captain to really let loose.

“Are you telling me you aren’t?” Huey grinned back at Hara, seing the way his brother seemed to be ready to bound out of his chair and run at the nearest shuttle. All he waited for was a good target. They were pirates, bandits, thieves. Murderers and pillagers by any definition of the word. But they didn’t target weaklings unless it fit their agenda.

"I guess I am" No, if they were simply going for a fight. They needed a proper target.

“I like this one.” Huey brought up the screen to project across the bridge for all to see. It showed a bunch of people, fighting one another with an assortment of mind boggling powers. They saw evidence of high tech that even they could make a buck off, and any number of interesting individuals.

“We could actually make some money here Bro.” Huey mumbled as he tagged Iron Knight and some of the others for further investigation.

All Haras eyes could see however, was that one big bastard who made his blood boil for some reason. A iconoclast paragon of virtue and order. The anathema to his own existence.

“Icon eh…”

His smile cracked open across his dark features, as he reached for the button the com unit.

“Bloodrose pirates. This is your captain. We got work to do.”
I'm b-b-back for realsies

The Library had always been a love and hate thing for Johan. There was no place in the multiverse with more magical lore and knowledge stored in it. It was a place for scholar, protected by forces so vast even elder gods thought twice. But it was presided over by a the Librarian. A ghastly form that had the emphatic capability of hannibal lecter and a thirst for knowledge that compromised for nothing. Not even the end of the world.

Johan wasn’t sure what he was looking for. He shifted trough book after book, tome after tome. The pile beside him grew like a monument to his ignorance of the finer point of magic. He was a mage, yes. But he had cheated, inside him sat the equivalent to a magical nuclear reactor, the arcane stream called into mortal flesh. To him magic was intuitive now, a few spoken words and a few runes. This however, this was old and wise magic. Cold iron and folkloric bane kind of magic. The magic needed to kill a king.

The King.

His king.

“So.” The librarian hovered over his shoulder, a impossibly tall, slender and wiry creature that might be human or similar at one point “Why is the Elves going to war?” The librarian asked as he picked up a few tomes with a whisk of his finger, energy wisps enveloping the books and rearranging them. Johan ignored him, shifting through the tomes on the table. He was looking into divination, flipping pages through the 'Bergadotters Visioner.' A old swedish text banned by the catholic church back during the conversion days in old northern Sweden. Before Nordic Kings and when Central Europe was still talking about vikings as a plague on civilization.

His eyes stuck on a passage, hardly eligible.

“And the king stepped of his throne, wielding Hilring, the Axe of Ice, bearing down winter and death.” Johan felt a sudden chill as he read the words, felt like the text was somehow making the room colder as he read. “His armies tenfold that of mortal kin, immune to led and fire” Led and fire? There was no led weapons back then. This was a vision of the future all right, complete with bullets.

“Steeped in fire and blood, his boots tread mortal soil, and giants wake from slumber long. Long forgotten magic will burn again, and with the world” By now he knew it was more then his imagination. Rim frost crawled across the table and he could smell the blood and fire mentioned.

“Unless a crown of iron is donned and the spear of odin finds its mark, the age of man shall be no more.” Johan sighed, sliding down into his chair as he closed the book. A tear made trail trough the dirty and grim on his face, before it froze.

“Potent. Are they not”

“Her gift was true, beyond anything I ever read.”

“Indeed. They strung her up you know, the early nordic Christians. Said her words were from the devil. The next day, the church in her village was destroyed by trolls.”

“Her name was Bergadotter. Daughter of the Mountain. I suppose they didn’t know her heritage well enough.” Johan muttered as he tapped the book while in deep thought. “I don’t see a solution..” He stared at the book, as if willing it to give him another way out. For their to be a happy end to his prophecy.

“I do” The librarian said solemnly, flipping the book open, pointing to the engraving of a man wearing a grey crown.

“That is not a solution” Johan snarled, turning to face the creature known as the librarian.

“You are champion of the king. Part of your duties, is to bring the king to bear should he fail his own.” The librarian spoke, producing a book that read “The Courts of Fey” in old fae script.

“But they do not see it that way” Johan insisted, a sense of panic rising within him

“The old laws are the grounds of magic. They will kneel” The Librarian countered, as if citing the book without even opening it.

“I don’t fucking want them to kneel.” Johan spat, desperation and impotent rage making his voice crack.

“But so they must, were you to save your other home” The librarian made the book vanish.

“I would need a army.”

“No. What you need, is the threat of one.”

“...The Excalibur girl”

“They will not fight Mortals AND Albion. And she can back your claim. I would be wary of the one called Ambassador. The Court of Summer and Winter are sympathetic to the Elven King. They will interfere unless you can head them off… ” The librarian said, getting awfully close to Johans face, making the Magus back away.

“Anyways. Good luck” The librarian shoved him in the chest and suddenly, Johan was back in the alleyway again.

“...Fuck!”

SPACE, near Sol System

The dark, empty void of space was currently stretching out before Hara. Every so often, he could see the glimps of shields reflecting and deflecting plasma torpedo and laser fire.

“Status” He asked the hulking fishman next to him. His brother in arms and closest ally. Huey towered over him by a good 2 feet, but spoke in a deliberate, intelligent manner. He was both strong and intelligent, a perfect second in command.

“The ISS Lightning has sustained enough shield damage for a boarding” Huey said as he made the battlemap project before them. Showing the ISS lightning in a high detail render, updating in real life as it took damage from the pirate fleets barrage.

“And her escorts?” Hara asked, pointing to the smaller gunships trying to come to the larger ships aid.

“The ISS Machinea is about to blow an-” Hueys word stopped in his mouth as bright blue explosion lit up the viewscreen. “Any minute..” He finished with a slight grin. Another explosion briefly lit up space as the other escort ship of the ISS Lightning went up in fire.

“That would be the Stalwart then” Hara said, a manic, amused edge to his voice. There was a sense or warped and terrible enjoyment in the way he carried himself. Huey on the other hand, looked almost bored. This was a job, they were good at it . If the world wanted to judge them for it, it should have treated them more kindly as kids. His moment of contemplation was distrupted by his more wired and highly strung brother strapping his energy saber to his hip.

“Prepare me a boarding party. Get me two engineers and… five footpads. That should be more then enough.”
“The ISS have a contingent of at least 100 Icarian Marines.” Huey said, one scaley eyebrow raised. Icarian were a race that lived for combat. But Hara had no doubt he could handle them with a little backup.

“Hm. You are right. Give me Tenga and her marauders. They are always up for a little dicey fun. Tell them we are going full metal on this one, no energy weapons.” Hara spoke while walking over to pack up hi suit. Slipping it on, he clicked the chest protector and a myriad of small nano enhanced scales flowed out and interlocked across his entire body from neck down. Rolling his arms, the armor rippled like water across his skin as it adjusted.

“Right you are Captain.” Huey grinned before barking a few orders into his com “TENGA, GET YOUR GIRLS UP AND READY. NO ENERGY WEAPONS, BRING YOUR BlADES AND KINETICS.” There was a howling laugh on the other end as Tenga, a certifiably insane lieutenant of theirs had clearly been hoping for a chance to cut loose.

As they rounded the last corner to the launch bay, they saw Tenga and her crew. They were from all over the galaxy and some possibly from outside it, all of them the worst kind of remorseless killers and coldblooded to the core. They all wore spacesuits of similar make to that of Hara, only styled different.

“We are hitting the Lightning, Huey will direct the fleet to cut off any rescue attempts. We are going heavy metal on this, no energy weapons. They are bound to have reflector shields and energy dampeners installed. Once we are inside the vault, blades only. We don't want the place to go up in a plasma chainreaction.“ Hara stepped Onto the boarding Shuttle with the others as he barked orders, the court boarding crew answering wih slow, deliberate nods. When he was done his face split in a grin.

"Remember girls, we take no prisoner today. We are the scalpel that cuts the cancer out of this universe, we are the heated knife cauterizing the bleeding wound." He grinned a horrifying and cold grin as the shuttle launched at high speed. "We are the Bloody Rose Crew, and we got a reputation to uphold."

Interstellars Peace Corps:

Commander Amelia stared at the report. "Damnit Hara..." She gritted her teeth as she replayed the footage of one violent nad ruthless boarding crew expertly cut a swathe trough the poeple onboard the ISS lightning. "What were you after" She flipped trough some other holovids and a detailed map of the ship. One area was showing up as just solid metal. A place were the cemeras where nonexistent. Her eyes widened and she began flipping trough information about the ship.

"Oh no" She stepped away from her work, grabbing on of the Cadettes. "Get the Grand Admiral on the line now! We got a huge problem"

Character you have created: Hara Helzigar
Alias: The Crimson Terror, The Bloody Rose, Captain Hara
Speech Color: violet
Character Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Identity: Hara Helzigar
Character Personality:

Hara appears to be a surprisingly compassionate and emotionally driven man. Not the emotionless husk of a monster many expect him to be. But he is also likely a un-diagnosed sociopath in the eyes of anyone that isn’t his crew or close to him. “The Mad Dog” of the cosmic seas is a powder keg. He has little to no regard for life if your opposing him, and has a temper that would make a volcano blush. He is a talented orator and charismatic leader, instill a sense of purpose and righteousness in those that follows him. He absolutely dettest and and all forms of governance and authority but his own.

Uniform/costume:

Standing tall with dressed nearly all in various shades of red and with strikingly green hair, he is hard to miss. His skin is a middle gray, his ears are pointed and elvish. He is handsome person, but his face always have a unnerving smile to it. He wears a special eye patch over his right eye, and wears a old, by now worn armor harness at all times. He keeps his back straight and carry himself with poise and swagger.

Origin Info/Details:

Born the bastard son of the Matriarch Zelixa Helzigard, leader of the great Everlasting Fleet, one of the greatest flotillas of all of space. The Mandi-Har is a race of extremely capable, extremely dangerous warriors. Rules by noble houses and families, the Flotilla is in a constant state of assassination, backstabbing and culling, leaving only the most ruthless and capable to lead. And in this madness, the Matriarch has kept a steady ship for over a century.

The Mandi-Har are also a extremely xenophobic and puritan race, having perfected their own genome trough genetic manipulation and selective breeding almost a millennia ago. A blemish such a halfblood is unprecedented and unforgivable. Enter Hara.

His name literally means “The Child” as he was not given a real name before he made his escape from his mothers starship. As a babe, he was meant to be killed, as he was a impure thing. But something in his eyes made the headpriestess stop. The genes of Haras father, a humanoid species known for their complete mastery of energies, had triggered something in the halfbreeds dna. A mutation of terrible power, should it be cultivated.

So instead, the child was hidden from sight, set to be trained into a weapon. To tend to him, he had a Nautilan slave. Huey, as Hara came to call this lumbering creature, soon became Haras only friend. They became like brothers, sharing disdain for their masters. Both thirsting for freedom and a world outside the flotilla and its rigid ways.

That day would come.

One day, Hara was called to commit himself to the next stage of his training. An ritual that demanded he took the life of the one person he trusted, Huey. But both young men knew this was coming. They had planned for it. Stashed away components for explosives, a art that Hara had received a lot of training in. Huey had riled up other slaves, and Hara had stashed away simple but no doubt effective weapons for their little rebellion.

Upon the eve of the ritual, their little coup was staged. As these things go however, they had been had. Their little rebellion was quelled embarrisngly easy. Deemed a failure, the priestess set to pluck Haras eyes out. It was in this moment, Hara showcased his power in full for the first time. Watching as the entire room froze in place, as everything he saw was hit by rapid entropy and energy dispersion. Then, as others arrived, he made the entire section of the ship bubble and combust, the metal shrieking and tearing apart at a molecular level.

This would prove to be their way of escape, and the two fled in a small fighter vessel, making landfall on a desert planet that the fleet was passing. There, they fell victims for slavers, and spent 3 years as gladiators for the rich and wealthy to bet on.

OnOn the eve of the grand championship they once again stood face to face. But again, they had planned an escape. This time however, it worked. They led a small rebellion planet side, and high jacked a military frigate docked for the festivities.

Thus began the reign of terror that was The Bloody Rose Pirates. A liberatior and revolutionary in the eyes of many impovrished and opressed, Hara went from ragtag pirate captain to the Admiral of a pirate fleet numbering dozens of ships.

Hero Type:
Energy (Entropic/Chaotic)

Entropic Energy Consumption.

Hara aquired a very strange power at a early age. Anything he perceives with his right eyes begin to deteriorate and fizzles out. Fire dies out and water freezes as all heat is dispersed in seconds. Energy fields are dispersed, electricity is depleted. Due to the nature of his power, he wears a special eyepatch to contain it. Prolonged use can however, kill him. The more he consume, the harder the energy gets to contain. He starts to bleed from his eye if he uses it to much.

Destabilizing Energy Burst:

What Haras right eye consumes, his left eye can burst back into the world with chaotic and unpredictable results. A dead tree bursts into life again only to explode in flames, radioactive flares and even a miniature, localized nuclear explosion as atoms are forcefully collides due to the sudden energy about them.. Due to the nature of chaos, he doesn't control the outlet either. He could let out a small change, or he could empty the entire energy reserve. He has no control of it.
