Those people who actually post their status in status updates are a part of a very small minority. One that I'm not a part of.

Because it's no guarantee of survival. You only bypass the whole aging problem, and you get over the "all of my non-immortal friends die, wahh" thing pretty quickly.

I feel like most people would live longer with immortality, other survival factors included or not. Most people don’t just keel over randomly, or throw themselves into danger on a whim.

*Shrugs*
It's not all it's cracked up to be. Being immortal is basically the same thing as not being immortal.

I fail to see how, personally.
<Snipped quote by Heroic>

Weird.

Yeah, isn't everybody these days? Aging is so last millennium.

Not old enough to know, but if everyone is immortal, I didn’t get the memo.
<Snipped quote by Heroic>

Was that the goal?

His age doesn't count anymore because he was sealed away for ages.

The goal was to heal people. If what happened to me was ever an intention, then I was never made aware.

... Ages, you say? Are you people immortal too?

It looks like the success rate is exactly 1 over the number of test subjects.

A few as far as it working as a treatment, I’d say, but I’m the only one who ended up with this.

<Snipped quote by Heroic>

Mierno: lets just go with 'I've been around for a long time'.

That is a little too vague to be a satisfying answer. But alrighty then!
<Snipped quote by Heroic>

Why is that?

I mean, it’s still experimental. Not a 100% success rate with it, and not many trials of it either.
<Snipped quote by Heroic>

Any others who got what you did?

Not successfully.
<Snipped quote by Heroic>

That's a pretty sick rehab program.

That’s certainly a way to put it, I’d say!

Mierno:
More than youve been alive, probably.

No number?
<Snipped quote by Heroic>

Was it cool or pretty anti-cool?

It was because I was dying, so that part was pretty “anti-cool”. But the effects of the treatment were NOT dying AND powers. I’d say, overall, it was “cool”.
<Snipped quote by Heroic>

Oh nice, I like humans. How'd you get powers?

Mm, now that’s a story, I suppose. I wasn’t born with them or anything. They came about from the time I took an experimental genetic alteration treatment.
