Hmmm, got it. Although all the modern carriers (built in the 1960s to present) are all "supercarriers". The term isn't an official term per say but a term that the media uses to describe modern carriers which are A LOT bigger than older generations like the ones from WWII. Like the Gerald Ford Class are all Super Carriers, the previous generation of Nimitz Carriers are also called supercarriers same with the previous three. In fact, the first supercarrier was built in 1955 with the Forrestal class... So, if you want I can just avoid bringing a carrier since I don't think a WWII era ship would make much sense.

The sound of horseshoes, clattering against the road of the Southern Jewel was muted in the din of the city. There were people in a rush everywhere. It was clear that the Grand Kingdom was preparing for an offensive war. Lothar had long been confused and concerned when he first got his letter, but when he arrived at his family's holding at Attolia it soon became clear. The King has called upon his nobles to muster men and join his campaign and House Wolff were no exception. In fact, they had to somehow maintain the appearance of being related to the Royal Family and could not cheap out on raising an army. They had to save face despite the Duchy of Attolia being one of the poorer Duchies in the Kingdom. It was a near insult to "gift" the Wolff family the Duchy as its fields were rough and not suitable for farming. Most of Attolia's economy is from fishing and whatever trade passes by on the way to the Capital. But fish was only so valuable... yet the Wolff Family had ruled over the land for generations, maintaining the prestige of the family name and the image of the Royal Family.

Thus, as his father was too old to be charging into war, Lothar found himself in the company of 5 of his family's Knights, 20 Mounted Men at Arms, and 300 Infantry. However... the infantry was... substandard in training. Almost half the infantry were slaves who were promised their freedom for joining the campaign. The rest were poor fishermen, sailors and peasants trying their luck on the field of battle. After all, the spoils of war were substantial and if there was an opportunity for people to rise in status... it would be during war. But, many of the slaves and peasants would never return home as Lothar knew that they would likely be sent first by the Grand Marshal to soak up most of the danger.

Then depending on how House Wolff's family's levies were received, Lothar also brought some gold with him to hire additional mercenaries to boost their numbers and maybe get the levies some training. But he did not have much money with him. It was a back up in case others saw the Duchy of Attolia's army as lacking. Regardless, Lothar knew that the Grand Marshal would have final say and overall command, which is why he made his way to meet with the Marshal so that he could report in and represent the Wolff Family in this war. He just hoped that the war would end as quickly as possible as he approached the Marshal's camp.

Prior to the events of the festival, Caelis sat with the several parties who had various ideas and claims to the newly domesticated cattle. Some wanted the cattle to be privatized and available to be purchased. Others believed that those who worked to domesticate them should keep them. Finally, the last voice believed that the herd should be kept as communal property. These three ideas seemed contradictory at first glance, but Caelis came to realize that there was a way to make everyone happy. They just had to wait a bit, which was something that elves were certainly capable of. They were among the most patient races in the world after all, what was waiting a year or two to an elf?

Caelis said "What we are discussing about is not finite. Nay, the cattle herd can be grown to the benefit of all. Would the wealthy of you want to spend 20 gold coins for one cow when in a year you can purchase two for the same amount of gold? Would you brothers of the woods want to deny your fellow brothers who ensured that you and your family were fed while you worked to domesticate the herd? Would those who advocate for communal ownership deny those whose merits are deserving of praise and reward? There is a simple solution to this. I ask you all to allow the herd to stay together, under no one's ownership, for two years so that it may grow. After those two year, we shall distribute the cattle much like the gold. A large portion will be given to all for private ownership, but the rest will be reserved for use by all. Thus, all I ask of you is a mere two years. Unlike us, the cattle mate much quicker and produce many offspring. In that short time span, I am sure all will be happy with the resolution."

With that meeting over, Caelis met with the horsemen once more and spoke to them. "With the herd now domesticated, we can continue our journey to more fertile lands. I ask you all to ride north and explore the area and try to find a place best for our people and our new herd. May the spirits guide and protect you."

Caelis stood with awe at the sight of the shady and sinewy figures of spirits that had appeared before them. Before, they were blessed by the presence of the animal spirits who now protected them, but now these strange figures had appeared. Were they truly ancestors? Or were they malicious spirits, luring the Attolians into a false sense of comfort and familiarity? He couldn't tell, but Caelis bet that the animal spirits would be able to tell if these spirits were malicious or not. Thus, to draw the attention of the spirits and away from Lady Saphira, Caelis loudly called out and bowed "Welcome! Esteemed guests! Please, come and join us in our feast!" as he held his arms openly out and indicated towards the plentiful feast that they had for this festival.

With that, Caelis began to look around for the animal spirits and silently prayed that they would come and guide him through this confusing and uncertain time.

Events:

1. The Elves are asked to wait a mere two years to allow the herd to grow and breed, which will then partially given to individuals for private ownership while the rest will be kept communally just like the gold. After all, to an elf, what's a short two years of waiting when for the cattle, two years is a lot of time to mate and breed unlike Elves?

2. Caelis attempts to draw attention from the spirits and buy time to see how the animal spirits act. He prays that the guardian animal spirits would help them if they were malicious spirits, but if they are not, then the spirits would be allowed to properly join the festival and feast as esteemed guests.

Action:

Caelis asks the horsemen to take the horses once more and to go scout/explore the north for a proper place for the Attolians to begin settling now that the herd is domesticated.

How you survived: The USN are the remnants of the United States Navy, particularly of a Carrier Strike Group, which had survived the great war as they were deployed at sea and escaped the horrors of nuclear weapons that were used on major population centers and strategic bases. The first few years after World War 3, the USN took time to reunite with friendly ships and find any survivors in the ruins of the states. However, they would still find themselves at combat at times due to the fact that remnants of enemy ships and submarines. However, as the years went by... people seemed to realize that rebuilding society was more important than continuing a pointless war.

Flag Ship:
Enterprise - The Enterprise is the 3rd in line of the former US' new line of super carriers. Meant to be largely automated, it needed less personnel to operate the ship and is powered by 2 A1B Nuclear Reactors to make the ship a floating power generator.

Modules:
1. Self-Defense System - An array of weapons that are used to protect the ship from missiles, ships, and aircraft.
2. Hanger - Permanent housing and service area for the fleet's aircraft
3. Energy Generation - 2 Nuclear Generators provide the ship with more than needed. Originally intended to be used to allow further upgrades to the ship before WW3. Now it is used to help provide power and energy to the rest of the fleet and cities that they visit to provide care.
4. Engineering Bay - Due to the extended need to operate and need to be self sufficient, the engineering bay has been expanded to allow the ship to allow the ship to make extra parts, machinery, and etc.
5. Advanced Radar Array - The Enterprise needs to be able to see what's coming in order to appropriately deal with the situation. The ship has the best radar system available to man before the wars.

Two Ships:
Mercy - A former oil container that was converted into a hospital ship by the US. It features beds for patients, and a whole array of medical equipment, supplies, and a laboratory. It also houses a hydroponics lab for the fleet's need for vitamins. This ship houses most of the fleet's non combatants.

Laramie - A former fleet oiler, the Laramie provides the fleet with it's oil needs to operate machinery like aircraft. Due to the fleet's need for self-sustainability, part of the ship has been converted into a drillship to find and drill for oil. This ship serves as a resource surveyor.

Technology: The Fleet carries some of the best technologies to keep the fleet safe and help others. However, it's ability to conduct offensive operations are largely limited to aircraft and the Wilson since the two auxiliary ships are non-combatant ships. Thus, the technology of the fleet can best be described as great to defend and sustain itself when in a group, but it particularly excels in the field of medicine and biological research.

Military might: The Fleet has serious abilities to defend itself, but conducting offensive operations away from the fleet is something that the fleet has not done and hopefully will never have to do. However, most of the armaments of the fleet are self-defense systems with the exception of aircraft, marines, and the Wilson's missiles and guns.

History:

USN has largely been a neutral entity in the old world, simply focusing on its mission of helping the unfortunate and securing the future of the fleet and humanity. Although some pirates and other desperate nations have attempted to capture the fleet, the fleet has been more than successful at fending for itself due to the capabilities of the Enterprise and the Wilson. Still, there are many people around the old world who have their lives saved thanks to the humanitarian missions conducted by the USN. These good relations have been beneficial for the fleet as it enabled the fleet to receive charitable donations and attract skilled and educated experts in areas that it had been lacking in. The fleet is proud to host one of the most diverse and advanced medical staff in the world as well as other experts whose contributions have helped the fleet keep up its mission.

Appearance: James is a man in his forties who is rather tanned due to the years out in sea.

Weapon: None on him usually as he is on ship. But the few times he goes on land, he opens up the ship's small armory and assigns weapons and armor accordingly.

Capabilities: James is an accomplished sailor and officer who is trusted to make solid decisions even under pressure.

Background: Admiral Wolff was born on the ship to two navy personnel on board the ship. Thus, he grew up knowing nothing other than the fleet for the most part and started to learn while young what the duties of each sailor was. Thus, as he grew, it wasn't surprising to see him climb the ranks as he clearly understood the demands of each task and how to properly deal with them. Ultimately, when the former admiral came to resign at the age of 70. It was little surprise that he had designated Wolff as his replacement. The process of picking the next Admiral was straight forward. The last Admiral would designate who to take over, and the designated person would be subject to the approval of the fleet's council.

The Council consists of the:

Admiral who is in charge of the protection and execution of the fleet's missions.

Captain of the Mercy, who is the officer in charge of the ship and the senior doctor.

Captain of the Laramie, the commanding officer of the Laramie and the chief scientist/engineer.

Captain of the Wilson, the CO who serves as the head of the fleet's amphibious and land missions.

Historically, the Admiral picks a designated replacement and resigns when he turns 70. However, in the event that there is no designated replacement, then the council takes the initiative to pick. Regardless, in the end, the council then serves as advisors to the new Admiral who is the head executive.

Background: Cpt. Abrams joined the fleet as a young child as the fleet adopted him in a humanitarian mission. He lived in a small fishing community that was heavily destroyed and flooded by huge waves. Thankfully, the fleet was nearby and saw the wreckage. He then grew up, watching the marines just take on the ocean with no fear in their landing vehicles. It didn't take much for him to want to become one as well. Thus, at 18, he volunteered and went through basic training. He served well for over a decade and eventually became captain due to his seniority and experience.

Training: Being of a cadet branch to the Royal Family, the Wolff family has had some prestige and wealth to afford Lothar the education and training of a Lord, but without a doubt it is not near what the royal family could afford or other powerful noble families. Regardless, Lothar is particularly skilled in mounted combat, leading men, and has a bit of ability in light and healing magic.

Lothar personally owns little than the equipment that he wears into combat and some clothes as most of the money he makes is sent back to his family. In fact, his most prized possession is most likely his horse, Ventus. Other than that, his equipment consists of:

A Blessed Protective Necklace/Charm, given to him by the Order of the Radiant Sun for his services
Shield
A specially made Long Sword that has been passed down his family for generations. Due to its near antique status, the style and designs of the long sword are long out of vogue, which gives Lothar some attention in the battlefield. It bears the family's crest and is how most people are able to identify Lothar since the sword is so distinct.

Spell skills:

Lothar has some limited ability in light magic and healing magic due to some training that he received while serving the Order of the Radiant Sun. However, he would not consider himself a true practitioner of magic. Rather, he just knows a few helpful tricks.

That said, one particular area where Lothar is skilled in is Protection Magic/Anti-Magic. As a Knight of the Radiant Sun, he had been on many missions where he had to hunt down dangerous magical beings and users. The Order stressed the ability to resist and some are even able to negate magical spells. Thus, Lothar was subject to years of brutal training at the hands of the Order's mages where he was subject to a myriad of spells and had to learn how to deal with magic even if he himself isn't the most skilled practitioner of magic.

Other skills:
Diplomacy - Lothar had been educated on how to navigate the political intrigue that goes on in the court. After all, the Wolff family had to rely on their diplomacy skills for generations to survive.

Cavalier - Lothar has led numerous battles in charge of the cavalry. He knows how to strike quick and hard.

The Eternal Knight - Lothar's use of his family's sword has gained him a bit of a reputation. Rumor has it that there's a centuries old Knight who shows up in battle and gallantly charges into the fight. Manifesting all the tenets of age old chivalry, the Knight never declines a duel and always follows the "laws of war". Thus, Lothar tends to be a somewhat well known figure as a bit of an urban myth, but regardless it gives most people a lot of reason to respect him. Lothar in particular leverages this well and is able to charmingly able to leverage this image very well.

Grand Kingdom of Kron-Nesis, Duchy of Attolia, The Order of the Radiant Sun, and various mercenary companies he served in the past.

Personality: Lothar is a cheerful fellow usually as the battlefield requires one to maintain morale some way. Thus, rather than let himself be sucked into an emotional black hole, he forces himself to joke and be friendly with everyone. That said, behind closed doors he is usually brooding or thinking about the future and the best way to achieve his goals.

History: The House of Wolff has long been a political chess piece for the Royal Family of the Grand Kingdom. As a cadet branch to the main family, the Wolff family was long ago granted the Duchy of Attolia, a bit of a back water with little more than a large fishing industry. By no means were they rich or powerful. However, being related to Royal Blood made the family useful in forming political marriages and allies. Thus, Lothar himself has traces of ancestors who weren't even human as the Wolff family was used to forge alliances with other families and nations.

Thus, being sick of simply being a pawn for the Royal Family, Lothar, from a young age, was eager to set off and gain his family some fame, honor, glory, wealth, and ultimately power. It was only a week after he turned 18 and finished his education that Lothar set off, searching for work in the service of a powerful lord. For several years, he found himself serving as a mercenary in the service of lords, and he slowly made a name for himself with his trademark sword.

However, years of brutal campaigning made Lothar question much about life. It was then that he first encountered the Order of the Radiant Sun in person. He saw with his own eyes people fighting for what was more than just money. Nay, they fought for their beliefs and in service of the unfortunate. It was a greater calling that Lothar could not resist. Thus, Lothar offered his services to the Order. It was there that he first had his proper training in magic as he led Templars and Knights of the Order into battle. While, he made little coin. He met others who he could call true brothers in arms.

However, his time at the Order came to an end recently as he received a letter from his family, requesting that he return home as his father was aging... and there were some courtly intrigue going on that his family suspected would have the Wolff family used as a pawn once more.

Several dignitaries were invited to Attolia to discuss a certain matter. There was chaos and strife throughout the continent, but a few leaders had proven to be upholders of peace. Emperor Lothair II hoped to bring these leaders together to ensure peace within the continent. Among the first dignitaries to arrive was Her Imperial Majesty Alina Romanovna of the Empire of Rubrus. Lothair II welcomed her with open arms and gave a small, respectful bow to the lady as she entered the palace halls. "It is a pleasure to have your presence here, Empress. I must congratulate you on your wedding, and I must beg your forgiveness for not being able to attend. As you know... things have not been stable in the continent as of late. Regardless, I wish to present to you, my belated gift."

With that, Lothair presented the Empress with a fine scroll, covered in velvet to protect the precious contents of the document.

"Let us have peace!" Lothair yelled loudly for all in the hall to hear. There was a loud cheer from the attending nobles, administrators and diplomats. Lothair turned to the herald and nodded for him to begin his speech. The Herald cleared his throat and unraveled a scroll that he held.

"On this glorious day, the Empire of Attolia and the Empire of Rubrus have signed the Treaty of Attolia. His Holiness, the Father of the Papacy in the Holy Territories, has also received a copy of the treaty and is expected to sign and join the treaty at a future date once the Crusade is concluded. The contents of the treaty are as follows:

'In response to the chaos and death spawned by recent times, we have come together on this day to join together in alliance to bring peace and prosperity to the continent and the peoples of Europe. The signing parties agree to the following terms of this treaty and subsequent formation of the Continental Alliance:

All parties will come to the aid of any member of the Continental Alliance in the event of aggression conducted against any member or it’s overseas’ interests.

In pursuit of this clause, all parties will also agree to yearly joint military exercises to maintain the readiness of our armies and navies. This requirement may be suspended in the event of emergency.

All parties will form a common market to encourage and facilitate trade and economic efficiency among member nations.

Any nation may request to join the Treaty of Attolia, but on the condition that all current members must agree for the nation to join. All amendments must also be unanimously agreed upon by current members.'

With that the Continental Alliance was born between the Empire of Attolia and the Empire of Rubrus with the Holy Territories soon following suit in this grand military and economic alliance.

While most administrators and diplomats were busy in Attolia, a boat set sail that day for the coasts of the newly founded Caliphate. The diplomat had simple orders. He was to establish initial and friendly relations with the new government and to investigate the current situation of Viponists and non-natives in the region to ensure their safety. After all, the guerilla war that was waged was... vicious and many civilians were targeted in the religious uprising. This would also hopefully provide a foundation for future Attolian interests in the region.

Finally, on the other side of the world, the Empire of Attolia instituted something they would never consider doing in Europe. As a show of sovereignty over the region, a new tariff and tax was introduced for all foreign ships and merchants passing through the Strait of Caledonia. The Strait was the busiest strait in the world with most of the Western and Eastern trade passing through the region. Thus, with the Attolian fleet now based nearby at Fort Tian, the Empire of Attolia would begin to exert their control over the waters of this crucial region.
