Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

Name: Eloise Flan Ruthersburg

Appearance:

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Role: Meister

Partner: Archer

Skills:
Advanced Soul Perception: Eloise is quite adept at the art of Soul Perception and can sense a soul even at a distance. Every year she seems to gain greater affinity for Soul Perception which at times can bring her unwanted attention.

Efficient Soul Wavelength Control: Her Soul is still growing so it will be a while before it reaches its peak strength but with the soul wavelength she does have is very precise. Her ability to manipulate Soul Wavelengths is quite advanced, making Soul Resonance quite powerful when performed correctly. While not that powerful yet, she already has started using Soul Force to a degree, allowing her to attack effectively even without a weapon.

Personality: Eloise is a rather shy girl who finds it hard to talk to others and make friends. This seems to contrast greatly with her abilities to manipulate soul wavelengths and acute soul perception but perhaps because of her personality she found the need to rely on another way to ‘read’ people. When confronted she is likely to back down and has a hard time dealing with pushy people as they can scare her quite easily, this in effect often makes the pushy person feel bad as she is rather quick to get teary-eyed. If one would describe her in a word, probably ‘sensitive’ would fit the bill; she can be quick to catch onto things though voicing her findings can be a bit of a challenge. One would think such a sheltered-esque girl would be useless in a fight but surprisingly this is not the case, at times at least.

Eloise has a sort of defense mechanism built into her psyche that activates during combat. Before this happens she can often seen quite flighty and cowardly but once the switch is turned her true skills come to the forefront. Eloise effectively shuts down her emotions, becoming almost doll-like in expression and at times movement which allows her to completely concentrate on the fight and her impressive Soul Manipulation skills. The change in fighting prowess and strategy throws most opponents off, especially as they are unable to read her anymore due to her low-emotion state. Once she snaps back she’s pretty quick to return to her normal, flustered self.

Biography: As her rather flamboyant name implies Eloise comes from a rather extravagant household that liked to toss money around like it was rice on a wedding day. Despite coming from such a household Eloise found that such riches merely isolated her or else made ‘friends’ try to get close to her to exploit her wealth. Perhaps it was her inner wish to want to know other people’s intentions that triggered her sensitivity to soul wavelengths, allowing her to unknowingly sense at times when something was ‘off’ about a person. Eloise became rather demure and kept to herself most of the time, somewhat avoiding people being unsure of how to deal with others. Things might have kept going downhill from there until an event changed her life forever.

Witches and other entities can often realize when a person is gaining soul power and soul perception and as her untrained power grew she got some unwanted attention. While her family was out on the town one night they were attacked by a monster that was attracted to her soul. When the monster had her cornered in her fear she unleashed her soul’s power for the first time and used Soul Force for the first time much to the monster’s surprise. Of course she didn’t defeat it with just that but it bought her just enough time for a nearby meister to slay the beast and save her. Impressed by her soul control the meister suggested that Eloise had what it took to become one herself. This event also triggered her ‘switch-off’ ability for combat.

Partly as a way to toughen her up a little, but mostly for her own protection her parents insisted that she start to train to become a meister. Always ready to obey her parents she did as instructed and is now a DWMA student in training to become a meister. She certainly has a long way to go though.

Extras:
* Collects Key-chains, her desk is full of them.
* She is extremely flexible and can do some pretty extreme poses.
* Keeps a journal to write down her thoughts and experiences. DWMA gives her plenty to write about.
@ Tharraleos Polemistis: The problem I see about being part of a neutral alignment is that you'll kind of be stuck out of the loop quite often. You could still live at the Pandora Complex but refuse to be an 'agent' I suppose. Basically I just don't want you to make an outside neutral character and then feel like you have no one to interact with on a regular basis. I'll leave it up to you but I will say being affiliated with the squad would be your best bet.
@nightfall - I don't see why not.

Glad to see so much interest, I'll try to flesh out a few things here before attempting to make a main thread.
STORY

Welcome to the year 2X58 when the world has changed quite a bit during an event known as the Phasing. The Phasing was when the veil between dimensions ruptured, torn, or else just failed to keep things that were suppose to be hidden from each other, occurred. Needless to say all havoc broke loose when the Phasing first occurred but thanks to the swift action of various organizations the veil was repaired but not before many other entities had forced or tripped their way through to the human dimension. Suddenly having to deal with strange beings and supernatural entities humans decided to make to create special units devoted to stopping these new threats and dealing with various supernatural problems that arise. Most of these groups are human but one organization decided on creating their own special monster/supernatural squad to deal with situations.

Not all these otherworldly/fantasy beings dislike the human world and some have even decided on helping out by joining the Monster and Supernatural Extermination Squad. Some are more pressed into service but the fact is this group was created with the idea that creatures not originally of this world would be better suited to dealing with otherworldly problems. The members of this elect group have been given their own special compound where they can live in peace while they are not on a mission. The compound is accommodated to their specific needs, each resident having their own special room in the facility.

Edge City: The city where a good portion of the story takes place, this city was hit quite hard by The Phasing and has become rather infested with other dimensional creatures. It is also still one of the most unstable locations on the world with dimensions rifts still appearing from time to time, making it even more chaotic. Because of the crazy nature of the area it was thought to be the best place for the Squad to be located so they could interfere when necessary. As the area has been rather 'infested' by human standards, there are certain areas where monster communities have sprung up, though most are shadow groups at this point in time. Edge City was not the original name of the town, but after The Phasing everyone feels like they are living on the edge so the name stuck.

The Pandora Complex: The Pandora Complex is the name of the 'apartment' complex where members of the squad live while off-duty. The residents comprise of Monster residents and human caretakers for the most part, these caretakers of course being part of the organization behind the squad's construction who are there to make the lives of the residents comfortable, while also keeping an eye on them. The complex comes complete with a gym, swimming pool, indoor greenhouse, eatery, and even a few convenience stores.

Anyway there are more ideas in the works but the general rundown is you are a member of this Squad, monster or human, that gets called upon to take care of special otherworldly cases. Setting is slightly futuristic but pretty close to modern day. When not kicking monster butt you can interact in the compound, have visitors, maybe even sneak out into the human world for a little fun and excitement. Well if interesting give the thread a post.

Interested.
(Bah site glitched)
Xeroth had been flying for a while, still in a bit of a steam at having been interrupted but orders were orders. As such he was not exactly paying attention to his surroundings and so was quite surprised when he got another telepathic message from the madoshi saying, "what do you think you're doing! Don't lead an enemy right to me!" The little goblin screamed in his mind making Xeroth wince a bit.

"What are you talking about!" Xeroth grunted and turned around to see Violet trailing him, "nevermind, I see it. Guess I'll smash her and be done with it." Xeroth clenched his fists and was about to charge the android when Tyrus stepped into the telepathic conversation.

"No, I want to meet this person myself, stay where you are so we can get a reading on your position." Back at their 'hideout' Tyrus nodded to the Madoshi who looked a little intimidated at Tyrus's sudden appearance.

"Ahem, yes of course." The little goblin creature raised his hands and started to chant and with a wave of his arms, Tyrus was teleported to Xeroth's location. Tyrus was nothing if not elegant, with his long white hair and thing dark blue umbrella he was the spitting image of an ancient aristocrat. He gazed over at Violet with soft, golden eyes and started to 'walk', on air, toward her.

"A pleasure to make your aquaintance my lady, I just had to see one of the individuals who were going to give young Xeroth here a hard time." Every move and action the demon made seemed to telegraph himself as being above all others, though in a way that showed amusement rather than contempt for those below him. "Forgive his actions," he motioned to Xeroth in a careless manner, "he will do anything to please me and can get rather overambitious." He chuckled a bit while covering his mouth with an oversized kimono sleeve and stopped a short way from Violet. "So to what do I owe the pleasure?"
@ Redwing. Well I guess it could work but since you are kinda sealed up your actions would be a bit limited so you should consider that when making the character.

@ Gist. Probably I'll be going along that Timeline as it is the Zelda I am the most familiar with. Also has the races that most people would want to play.

@ Double. A Mage could work, I have nothing against it.
Basically my idea is that every time a new evil arises, eventually the hero is reincarnated in order to deal with that menace; however, this time around things are going to be a bit different. Realizing this face the newest villain to the Zelda Universe, of my own design, decides to trap the hero's soul in order to prevent his reincarnation. After succeeding, the balance of power is tipped toward evil and with no hero on the rise all seems to be lost; however there is a certain backup plan just in case something like this might happen. The Goddesses Din, Farore, and Nayru have decided to name themselves each a champion to restore balance to the world and rescue the hero's soul, putting him back into the cycle of reincarnation.

That's the basic gist, a lot to flesh out such as Hyrule's layout, the villain, and so one but in any case, comment if interested.
Introduction phase is over, back to character development for now I suppose.
