Desktop profile login won't work. Coincidence that Windows 7 is no longer supported on same day? Consider me doubtful.

I'm having way too much fun with my Legend of Zelda Encylopedia. This is the game that got me into roleplaying so have a lot invested in it's lore and stories. Too bad can't have all the games too.

Yes for the most part I thought you did pretty well in the roleplay. Glacier was a fun challenge, making an ice-jin in a way that limited the power to everyone else's level. When she finally managed to unlock her 2nd form though, her power level was so below everyone else's better forms, which was fine since I decided to go the tactical fighter route rather than brute force. My character seemed to be the only one who actually tried to take advantage of opponent's weaknesses like in your Devastator fight. Time stuff is cool but can get too confusing so an alternate reality setting would probably work best. Best to avoid anything with saiyan population explosions, both with player characters and npcs. If this roleplay had continued on I was seriously wondering how Glacier was going to keep up after achieving her 'Cooler' transformation since I had little doubt saiyans were gonna go SSJ2 and up. Anyway got to work on my 'The Seer' roleplay first before thinking about something like this.
The way I have this formatted is in a way that the roleplay is essentially always open, due to the fact that people can enter and leave at their convenience. So its kind of like a revolving door, people will be constantly dropping by and then heading out, just some will stay longer than others.
I could do it, I have quite a bit of experience though my only real successes have been about 4 rps in the past, plus a few others I joined. The biggest problem with DBZ roleplays is well plot, and a stupid amount of training sessions. DBZ as a series is mostly about trying to power up enough to take out the next big baddie which gets stale really fast. Admittedly I liked the original dragonball with its odd characters and cooky plotlines better than DBZ which tended to feel stale by comparison. I even liked GT more than DBZ at times because it brought back some of the craziness that the original Dragonball had. Course DBZ had the epic fights which is what go the series famous overseas in the first place. Anyway though I'm off topic. Constructing a Dragon Ball roleplay in a way that limits the 'training itch' and pure power plays is the trick. Of course any dragon ball roleplay is going to have those training times but even those events should try to have some character progression as well aside from power ups. In any event figuring out a good storyline to provide a healthy role play environment is a bit of a trick.
Dragonball Xenoverse is out now, looks pretty good but gotta wait for them to patch up the servers and hopefully get it on sale. No matter how good it is $50 + $25 for a season pass is just too much plus needs time to work out the bugs. I want it but I must resist and wait for it to get better and cheaper. At this point maybe someone else should set up a DBZ roleplay.
So this will be the first location the roleplay takes part in and will most likely be a fairly short story arc. Recommended characters to create would be villagers or travelers though you are certainly not limited to those.
First Setting - Crosshaven
A quaint little town, known mostly as a pit stop on the road for travelers to grab a few things and maybe stay the night. To the residents they know it was a large farming community where little happens and the folk are friendly for the most part. The town of course has a few inns and taverns for drink and relaxation from the road and a large town square where Crosshaven has its special events and annoucements. Some people might dream about retiring in such a rustic location to enjoys the rest of their lives in nature, others dream of leaving such a small and fairly insignificant location to explore the world. While the town is mostly open with large fields there are a series of mountains to the West and is home to a local forest. This small town will soon have a strange visitor and before long the town might just very well be turned up-side-down. Not too many in this village have heard much about The Seer; however, the occasional traveler has a tale or two to tell about the strange things that follow after The Seer visits. Hidden secrets of Crosshaven may just come to light as The Seer passes through.
Good to see a fair amount of interest. A few things I need to decide before I can really set up. For the first story I'll probably start in simple village type setting to get things going, so something you can plan for. The most obvious thing at the moment is The Seer, not sure if I should make it Male, Female, or a shapeshifter so characters will ultimately have no idea what the Seer's true identity is. Appreciate some thoughts on the matter. The first setting shouldn't be too hard to construct though I have to think of what kind of character sheets I should make for an ever changing cast. I'll think about it a bit more.
@ Classified - Having characters return would certainly be a possibility. The roleplay setup is to allow such a flow of characters to come and go as they please. So probably how I'll set the roleplay up is by location. When the Seer arrives or gets near to a new location I'll create the setting with which you can then create characters for if you so wish. There will be a wide variety of settings as we go through story arcs so characters and locations will get pretty diverse.
The Seer
Have You Heard? Have You Heard? The Seer is here! The Seer is here! The Seer brings Miracles! The Seer brings Death! The Seer is a Mystery! The Seer is Unknown! Is the Seer an Angel? Is the Seer a Demon? Wherever the Seer goes change soon follows. Will you seek the Seer or avoid such folly? Will the Seer bless you? Will the Seer Curse you? Diviner, Prophet, Magician, Priest. The Seer is all and so much more. Are you prepared to meet the Seer? ~ Poem from Myths and Legends: A Guide of Safe Travel Against the Supernatural
The RolePlay
The Seer roleplay is intended to work as such. There is a central character, The Seer who travels across the land and has many encounters with other characters along the way. The Seer will continue the journey no matter what happens and while the Seer is in a sense the main character it is really the characters the Seer meets along the way that drive what happens. So as the Seer travels different story arcs transpire, be they character driven or Seer driven with characters plunging into the story. As the Seer will never stay in one spot characters can naturally fade out of the story when their arc is done, that way there can be a continual flux of characters going through the story. How long will your character stay with the Seer, well that is up to you. This roleplay idea is a bit unorthodox to be sure so I'm interested in seeing what people think of it. The Seer character is essentially unknown in the roleplay and therefore will only reveal itself through roleplay interaction. The Seer has limited precognitive powers, hence the name, which can be seen as either a blessing or a curse, depending on the location. Some want to use this power, others fear it, people want to capture the Seer, kill the Seer, learn from the Seer, or just avoid the Seer at all costs. How will your character react to the Seer?
Role Play Setting
This roleplay takes place in a world that is just beginning to enter is renaissance period but is still mostly in a medieval state. Better technology is starting to take hold in places but the level of sophistication really relies on the location. As for magic, it exists to a certain extent. Magical beings are not common at this point in time but still exist but most people consider them myths at this point. Magicians for the most part no longer exist and arcanists and risen in their place. Arcanists know some old magic but for the most part supplement it with contraptions and chemicals that give the illusion of magic. The source of magic can come from at least two known sources, from the inside of living beings and from magic stones. Magic from inside people has been on the decline for quite some time, also magic stones are rare and once it loses its charge the magic is gone for good. This steady decline in magic is part of the reason new technologies are starting to be developed. Races and Monsters: The world does not have a wide variety of intelligent races, humans are the main population, anything else is rather miniscule at best. Elves for instance have faded into legend, Dwarves are just little people, and Orcs are fantasy. Humankind has been dominate for hundreds of years and anything else is barely even heard of anymore. Monsters have been on the decline for a long time as well, most having entered the fantasy and myth realm at least a hundred years ago. There are occasional sightings of supernatural creatures and some places can still have a decent amount of trouble but on the whole meeting fantasy beasts is very low in probability unless you are far from any civilization. Capturing a monster can fetch a high price with collectors of such 'endangered' species. Most of this age's 'monsters' are humans.
Character Sheets
(Decided to keep the sheets rather simple for simplicity's sake as you will probably be making multiple characters throughout the story arcs) Name: Appearance: Age: Gender: Bio: Who is the Seer?: (Before meeting the Seer what is your characters general impression on the subject)
The Seer - Character Sheet
Name: Unknown Appearance: (Just ignore the 'tails') Age: Unknown Gender: Unknown Bio: The Seer is an enigma and seemingly unknowable. A wanderer who at times can see the future and seems to always have mysterious events surrounding The Seer's every journey. Who is The Seer? What is the Seer? Does even The Seer know its purpose or is The Seer merely tight-lipped? What is known about the Seer is wherever The Seer travels, change is soon to follow. Who is the Seer?: The Seer is The Seer, nothing more, nothing less.
Rules
1. People will come and go in this roleplay, as such this allows people to easily go away for a time before they come back in or make a new character. 2. Respect your fellow roleplayers, if you start to act badly I will not hesitate to politely ask you to leave. 3. Do your best to have proper grammar, spelling, and try to have at the very least a paragraph per post. If I find you unable to keep up with casual standards I will ask you to leave, though I will give you one post to have your character go away somewhere or even die if you so wish, a parting post so to speak. 4. No god-modding without my permission or The Seer will crush you like a bug. 5. Cry to be creative, make up side-stories and get involved. The Seer is the center piece but you are the players. Things were getting crazy as attacks came in from several sides. Marsha's twin gatling guns ripped through the approaching robots like tissue paper, they had numbers but they were obviously not designed to last. They would eventually run out but the pirates were trying to take advantage of the situation, even as the alien forces attacked them as well. One of the crab bots slipped through her barrage and tried to speed past her but her mecha grabbed a 'leg' and hurled the robot into a stream of fire and watched it get ripped apart. Being previously an industrial type machine her vehicle was very strong, capable of overpowering most, if she could get a grip on them at least. "These things are just fodder, the real threat right now are the pirates." Marsha watched as the main pirate force started to make a turn toward the rear of the XEON III. I'm moving to intercept." Marsha moved toward the back of the ship and started to fire at the approaching pirates, one of them got caught by surprise and spun off from the group, too damaged to continue. She needed to reduce their numbers as much as possible so up her unit's wings went to reveal her flak canons, which slowly turned toward the front and started firing their rounds. The shells exploded into the pirate fleet, spreading destruction wherever they exploded. XEON III The captain sat down in a chair, his fingers laced together in thought as he figured out what to do. The XEON III was in a precarious positions, being hammered on at least two sides from two different forces, the bright side was that the unknown force was attacking the pirates as well, at the moment they were in the worst position though. There was also that unknown Mecha that had retreated for the moment, he wished to get his hands on it but that would have to wait, saving the lives on the XEON III was his top priority. He jerked his head up when a thought came to him, they were outnumbered so there was really only one thing to do, escape. Of course this was not exactly the most simple of tasks; however, there was one extra resource they could use in this fight, it was a gamble but in a way it would provide them protection, from the pirates at least. "Helm, plot a course as close to the unknown's hidden base as possible, we're going to shoot right through their forces to outside this small asteroid field." "You want use to go through that!" The helmsman protested pointing toward the swarm of crab-like bots still in view, at least they were noticeably fewer in number than when the fight first began. "Full speed ahead, ram right through them, those robots are somewhat fragile so we should be able to crush them on our way out. Also any of them that fly past us will head right toward our pirate pursuers, adding an extra layer of defense. If those pirates manage to take out our engines while we're still here we'll be sitting ducks. It's either use, them or the unknowns that win today, and I'm gonna make sure we live to tell the tail!" With that the large expeditionary ship turned toward the unknown base asteroid and picked up speed to move through the alien defense grid. IRIS I The IRIS I was being pursed though the AI was not particularly bothered by this revelation. The humanoid Mecha had already retreated near its base and turned to face its pursuer with laser canons an pulse shots. The IRIS I was accurate and deadly but its function was more for information gathering purposes than combat, as most of its functions kept sifting through the vast amounts of information poured through its processors every nanosecond. Then something curious happened, the solar vessel had turned toward its forces and had started to plow through the sector at ramming speed. Most vessels would try to run away from enemy forces, not toward them. The IRIS I AI was having a hard time figuring out the next course of action. Many of the swarm bots that attempted to latch onto the XEON III bounced off and shattered on impact as the largest vessel in the immediate vicinity streaked through on a seemingly suicidal run.
As the could expanded nano-bots quickly attached themselves to various Mecha and started to transmit data over to the IRIS I. Before long a few of the bots had managed to make their way over to the pirates, revealing their presence to the alien Mecha. ~Primitive lifeforms weapons technology advanced enough to pose a threat. Communications suggest hostilities shall begin shortly. Attempted hacking on this unit, Firewall engaged. Commencing preemptive strike.~ The artificial intelligence had made its choice, it was time to put down the lifeforms before they had a chance to do even minor damage to their important facilities. Before the IRIS one could engage however, honor demanded that it broadcast its intentions before engaging hostilities. To accomplish this task it broadcast a signal to all vessels in the area, the artificial voice was barely distinguishable from a human voice and based on a female template. "Inhabitants of the Sol System, your interference shall not be tolerated. This Initial Response Information System orders total extermination." The IRIS I then opened fire upon the FireFly which was attempting to hack its systems from afar. Laser cannons opened up first from its shoulder turrets as the IRIS I quickly retreated back toward its 'home' asteroid, which was now suddenly alive with activity. The asteroid seemed to just melt away as many machines seemed to just dig out of the rock, as the defense systems were activated. The robots were obviously a mass production type, shaped somewhat like horseshoe crabs the rather flat machines jumped out into space, splitting into two groups, one toward the XEON III and the rest toward the most likely location of the pirate fleet. The crab bots were equipped with powerful pincers for close combat and were equipped with linear pulse canons, meaning they could only shoot straight ahead making it possible to outmaneuver them; however there were a fair amount of them to contend with. Quickly the pilots of the XEON III took defensive positions and started to engage the alien machines. Cannons, lasers, and rockets started the fill the minor asteroid field as battle was joined.
