His opponent had a good eye to block the blur that was coming for him so well, but he still couldn't block both of the attacks. By now the blur caused by his magic became more and more clear as the mist dispersed into thin air, making the effect far more negligible and revealing him in enough detail where he didn't expect to get away with too much secrecy.
He saw the blade coming in and couldn't allow both arms to be taken out of fighting potential so he further sacrificed his right hand, painfully reach across his body with the hand, moving the shoulder as little as possible to do so, so that his right palm collided with blade, causing a splash of red to spray out of the point of impact. His hand was pushed back with the blade and collided against his left shoulder, but such an impact was far more negligible then what would have happened.
He let out a pained cry as he tried to wrap his weary hands around the blade an try to hold it in place as long as possible, but given the weakness he felt in his grip it likely wouldn't hold him long. With his left handed holding the sword he yanked the sword back from the punch and then tried another swing against his body.

It would be funny if he kept getting hit in the same shoulder and wondering what people have against it.
