I like characters with a bit of stupid in them rather than only doing the best choice of action the person playing them can come up with.
I need a character with scrubbing bubbles to counter any acid spills. He cleans up crime and the environment.
I haven't gotten around to using him for some reason but, other than my obvious choice, my next favorite character is Redden. I think him being too powerful for the fights I had in mind were the reason. I really like the guy I'm working on right now as well.
More importantly perhaps, what do you feel is lacking from your repertoire?

For me, most obviously, is women. I don't feel like I can portray a woman effectively, despite feminist pseudo intellectual bullshit claiming a complete lack of differences between sexes there is clearly huge social disparity and some biological differences between the sexes, and I don't think I can do them justice very well. (Anna is, for the record, my first female character on RPG.)

Next up is probably straight up good guys, though I have a smattering of bad people the vast majority of my characters fall into that shade of gray region of neutrality, perhaps because they are the easiest characters to set up fights with, without being a straight up evil bastard.

Also, the vast majority of my characters are ordinary humanoids, most even relatively human in nature, I lack Khan's fascination with beasts and monsters.

I'm the opposite for the gender situation (obviously). I don't have too many earthlings either so without the social structures (and slightly differing biology) of earth you can easily assume these points no longer apply. Even with earthlings there would always be exceptions. For example, I'm not the most masculine fellow so there would be plenty of women who would behave more manly than me and kick my butt.

I'm opposite for good guys as well (also obvious). I struggle with making people evil because I always try for sympathetic motivations no matter what besides joke characters like Generic McBadblade. I do have some grey characters but most are clearly the good guys. I will try to work on more villains but will still keep them not evil for the sake of it besides a rare few.

I have mostly humans but some people who are half monster or whatever. Most of my other animals are joke characters like my samurai alpaca. I'm trying to come up with more serious non-human characters.

I also need some other characters not fantasy based and gun users.
I have a lot of people who can use knifes on the side, have good reflexes, late teen to early twenties, anime colored hair, a good person...and that's the main things. I'm making a point for them to be diverse.
We need "Operation: Destroy the Clockwork".

I haven't had damage carry over in a fight before other than when it's taking place practically at the same time such as in the multiverse fighting the elves and the big monster guy in one battle. Otherwise, like melon said, it's best to use as a handicap.

The new week has began. Male character-a-day's are upon us! I shall start with the one guy I mentioned briefly that I might have show up at some point pretty soon. Other characters are my OP teleport guy, Aperaham Kinkolng, a cowboy taken to the future, and...I'll come up with something.
.... Need some meat suits.
Anyone has a quick char appearance generator I could use?

The anime fanboy fantasy fulfiller could have some fun characters ideas. The tatooed cyborg demoness with super martial-arts. Oh yeah! That...umm...my type indeed!
Battles don't have to end in death because realistically there's plenty of situations people would rather choose flight than fight.
Derek took one shot at the dumpster, flinching as the bullet ricocheted off the thick metal and was sent flying somewhere nearby, although it all happened too quickly to know for sure how close of a call he had just been to death. This situation was not only frightening but annoying how his target got away and now he'd have to get close to get a good shot off over the dumpster wall, thus exposing himself to the melee user's weapon. Not having time for this, he retreated quickly out of the alley, ridding himself of this nonsense and calling it a night.
"Not good..." Saanga thought to himself as he saw the mech brace himself and take aim with the much larger gun. He tossed the second disk at the mech's camera over the body after he got hit by the smaller weapon and then extended his hands outwards to try and form a shield out of the lava from his now empty hands, but it was too late to even get started as the round blasted powerfully into his armor, knocking him backwards and obliterating most of the chest piece so that it would require far more energy in repair work than the previous damage. As he rolled painfully to a stop, now 189 feet from him, he scrambled on hands and knees to a jagged portion of rock that was nearby to his right, able to just barely conceal someone about twice his size. It was the only good portion of cover in the general vicinity and wouldn't last long at all, even against the relatively smaller bullets, but it might take one or two before failing if he was lucky. No...he wouldn't need luck. He just needed a couple of seconds.

Focusing energy inside his suit for a new ability rather than repairing, in only three seconds of time he would then release it out the back vents near his shoulder blades to propel himself forcefully into the air like a rocket traveling at around 1,640 feet per second at max speed, his end goal to reach a spot directly over the mech's head at an altitude of 300 feet once he slowed back down. From there he planned to freefall, forming a lance in the 4 seconds or so it would take to come back down, hopefully on top of the mech's main body as he would deliver a massively powerful downward thrust thanks to all of the energy from his fall. The lance was held firmly in front of his body with a grip like holding a baseball bat, his body facing upright while his lance facing downward.
