They are a part of the Threat so they would look sort of like gooey chunks of it's flesh but also fungusy and planty. They can have certain characteristics such as flight. They are born from egg sacks.

At the start of the battle? Unlikely they were walking around with jetpacks so they will do athletic stuff after trying to fight it on ground level for a little bit with guns. Some super talented sword wielding woman made it up and would have won but as she leaps to deliver the ending blow, the tentacle face shift takes her off guard and devours her before her magical slice of doom would have connected. And maybe she dislikes gross things so that throws off her attack too. XD She gets grossed out for just a second too long.

100 feet is fine.

In a slapstick deleted scene, the crew inside the hovercraft keep flying in mid air without the ship around them until they look down, realize they are no longer in a ship, and fall down Wile E Coyote style.

Good idea with keeping it canon-1 up until the branch off point. Most of the characters involved would be dead by old age anyways for the other stories so I don't need to worry too much about keeping them alive. I may have one survivor who is a long lived race and is a mentor for the plucky young heroes later on.

The UNT of current times would be more powerful as it keeps getting new members and technology for the forseable future, but it's the height of their power when they were at their most militaristic. So you could say the height of their most deadly period since forming together into the UNT. War with the most powerful empire does that to you.

To kill the Threat at that point would require so much damage to the planet that it would throw off the entire star system and have a chain reaction. As of the current Canon-1 time they are just keeping it contained rather than trying to destroy it. There's nobody left to save down there anyways unless people crash land there.

Wormy head with tentacle mouths like a sarlac pit from star wars? Just as the head portion. It's fingers might be able to bend and twist around unnaturally like a whip and have sharp nails that shoot out and tipped with poison. T-rex feet would make the most sense or it slithers around with spiky tails.

We can use this thread for all of the Threat battles rather than just the first one and have the start of each battle linked to the first post so you can easily navigate between them or read through them as one story.

Would you like this to be the separate Canon-Threat version where it begins to threaten the galaxy as a whole, or should we stick to the Canon-1 version where this battle could be referenced in other Andreemea stories that use Canon-1 (which will be the main one we use as a group where everyone's ideas can be included)?

I'll come up with my characters mostly on the fly if you wish to hop right into this. Some NPCs might, for example, catch my eye during the fight and will be fleshed out at that point. I could have some of them the great great whatever grandparents of some of the characters in Canon-1 during the time period that most of the stories are in.

Canon-Threat for if it becomes a serious enough threat to effect a lot of the plots. If it's Canon-1 then it would have to be more limited to that planet after it's thwarted from leaving. However, it has near complete control of the planet so nobody wants to go there like you said but if we do a canon-1 story following the adventures of a spaceship they can crash land there or need to go there for other reasons.

There's a good page to start. Also on the home page of the wiki is a lot of handy links. A few other people are posting stuff on the wiki as well. One thing I'd really like to add is UNT vehicles and weapons as well as some more common races I have thought up.

6. Baby threats sound cute. Too bad they are deadly. Maybe one baby threat turns good. haha

7. The Threat appears to have come out of nowhere right now so wouldn't know what to do with it for some time. Maybe the agent on the planet gets the info to them and they formulate some plans at that point.

8. Maybe not exactly like whales, but the gist is there.

The battle wouldn't have been hopeless, it just ends up turning out poorly. The surviving heroes would be forced to regroup once things take a turn for the worse.

9. The Threat seems more like an NPC at that point. This may turn out to be more of an actual roleplay that could start up. I am still in the process of getting the setting with all the info before I posted interest checks for stories that could take place in the setting. You are welcome to take a look at the wiki if you want, but it's still about a month off of being ready to start. This canon and the Threat can get pages on the wiki, even.

2. A portal of the type the monster comes through could indeed cause a dimensional disturbance that destroys all signals passing through.

6. I know them. Maybe the smaller monsters spring off of the big one because they are actually part of the big one that can separate. These organisms reproduce and mature deep inside of it so it gets stronger and larger as time goes on. However, it needs a lot of energy to keep this process going.

7. "Team up" is them using the monster for their own gain without the monster really aware it's being used. The story could take place when the UNT is at war with the largest Empire in the galaxy and one agent managed to infiltrate the planet and could disable vehicles. They are called the GAN Empire. At the main timeline they are not at war, at most in a cold war but are not beyond helping each other on occasion. They respect each other at least somewhat and follow rules of war so are not transparent villains like the Empire from Star Wars. During the big war between them these rules were more lax, although both of them still agreed not to use weapons of mass destruction because if they did they would destroy the galaxy and neither side is suicidal.

8. There could be a canon where the Threat is more successful due to the lucky breaks, which will be the one we will keep in canon for these arena battles. It will not be a stick in the woods planet, just not a super major planet that would easily repel the monster even with all the bad luck in the world unless they all had heart attacks. XD

We can say it's a moderate planet and close enough in UNT space to threaten other planets later on. It's only separate from the rest now due to the dimensional disturbance.

The heroes retreating would make them less heroic, now wouldn't it. XD
