In real life they are the only country with mandatory female service requirements for the military (at least if Wikipedia is to be believed). That's fitting for them in this alternate universe to be more important and powerful then a lot of other countries. They were already one step ahead of the game before it even began. They are still no match for the empire, but they are at least powerful enough to survive while other countries lead by the US are planning an invasion to aid them.
I wonder if we could even get to Isreal from the west because we'd have to pass by France and they'd surely have ships around to fend us off. Therefore, we'd probably have to go by land by passing through Africa. Our best invasion could be from the Indian Ocean, although we wouldn't be able to directly support Isreal that way.
I think we should go with the Saudi Arabian empire as the man baddies for the first roleplay. France being the more powerful and leader of the World Revolutionary Powers (WRP), the main antagonists, would be better suited as the main threat later on. Perhaps Great Britain would be the main ones fighting France while the US would be more involved in the middle east. They'd probably need a powerful ally over there...India, Isreal, maybe Egypt? However, I don't see Egypt surviving long against the empire, as they Empire has spread into Africa so they must have already defeated Egypt in the process. I doubt China is on the US's side so they are out of the question. China might even be with the WRP.
Name: Max (the Centraen)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Appearance: My Drawing
He has hoofed feet.

Personality: He's dreadfully boring to the point of it being amusing. It could put people with weak disposition to sleep just by being around him. He doesn't even make any attempt to liven things up, simply going through the motions every day. He's a tad depressed but not suicidal.

Abilities

Physical Abilities- He has a tad more strength, endurance, and stamina then a moderately well trained human with slightly less agility and flexibility.
Weapon Training- Spear, shield, crossbow training. He can use a net to entangle enemies.
Guard Duties- He has what it takes to be a decent enough guard. Most notable is his patience, as if he has nothing better to do anyways.

Powers

Enthusiasm Sucker- He can drain people's emotional perkiness just by being around him. After spending 5 minutes of close proximity their very life energy will begin to drain as well.
Glassy Stare- Enemy abilities that make use of eye contact does not effect him very well.

Equipment

Head: Iron Helmet.
Body: Brown tunic. Iron chainmail.
Hands: Tattered leather gloves.
Feet: None. He has hooves, remember?
Weapons: One handed iron spear in his right hand and a iron shield in his left. He can equip himself with a crossbow or a net if the situation arises.
Other: Occasionally a book that helps him pass the time.

History

He's a centraen, not to be confused with a centaur, although their name and ancestors are shared. They were not meant to be called something different, but due to traveling to different areas of the world they began to have different pronunciations over time, and as more changes in the races appeared the name differences stuck. They are a warrior race by nature, although the village Max is out in the boondocks. As such even someone like him was allowed (forced) into military service as a guard for the village gate. Not that anyone every bothers to invade his boring village. Not much has gone on during his guard duty, although he was once able to foil a thief from entering the village, looking for an easy target. The thief got way too bored on questioning to bother trying to get through his security check, causing him to leave empty handed after considering no amount worth it. Max was given some reward money, but he had no idea what to do with it so he left it sitting at home.
With so many possibly plots, to keep things simple we can find out favorite one and stick to that for the first roleplay. If it goes well then we can explore additional plots. I'll go to bed soon so we can continue the discussion tomorrow, or you guys can continue the discussion amongst yourselves.

Yeah, that would work well.

Which one?

As for cloning, I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not but the Y chromosome is too damaged to be able to be successfully cloned. That means it's not a permanent solution for that problem (neither is parthenogenesis) but it would keep the human race from becoming extinct, at least. Or at least Japan unless they share their secrets one way or another.

Japan should be ahead of the game in terms of technology.

Maybe they are able to start parthenogenesis or cloning, or they could also keep their males healthy and in stable condition. Either way would given them a huge advantage. They could try to be neutral but things don't end up that way. Maybe the GCA wants to secretly steal all of their information.

This would make sense. All the historically neutral, aggressive, and defensive countries would predictably remain in the same state, for some male influence would remain even as the population trickled away. That and sheer cultural beliefs would pretty much ensure who would be the aggressors and so forth.

Japan changed a lot as a result of WW2. They were the aggressors at some point. They way I see it they could go either way as a result of this mess and the alternate history. It seems like it could be interesting if they come up with some sort of a cure first.

But the good ole US and A has tons of ladies in the military! With guns! Maybe they'll be the antagonist, that cold provide us with a fresh perspective.

The US is "good", although the GCA is known to abuse their near unlimited powers granted to them by the government. From a certain point of view they would be the bad guys. It's not black and white.

Fair, but personally I'd still opt for a more gender-equal country to serve as the antagonist. France, for instance, has a much more educated female population already in various seats of power in politics, and many more are serving as scientists, soldiers, and so on, allowing them to run their country with much more ease than Saudi Arabia. Of course, my knowledge of Arabic culture is pretty much nil, so I'll leave this up to you :D

France will be another good villain, perhaps the most powerful country in opposition to the allies, but no reason we can't have a Saudi Arabia turned empire as well. Besides, we can't pass up on Iranian female ninjas:

Yes, that's a real thing. Saudi Arabia would have taken over Iran by then so could have these ninjas as their own elite forces. :)

Hmm...and speaking of ninjas, what about Japan?
