Anyways, I have been waiting to see if some UMMAgent or even someone from SE would come investigate this stuff.
What's going on in Konoha, and would how exactly would I form up a mission onto a UMMA world?
Half of a giant whale-demon crashed into the side of Mount Ninjamore, falling on top of Konoha and killing I don't know how many. This happened because Guts killed it. Immediately afterwards, Guts murdered Zetsu and got Sharingan'd into the Sharingan dimension by Obito's Sharingan.
"Well, that mostly sounds like stuff I already know. Is there anything really vital you need me to test, or can we get on with the assignment?" Bee asked. He'd been gone a little while; he'd have to hurry if he wanted to do this assignment AND eat ice cream with his friends.
Toramaru let out a groan as the plane landed. [Man, what a pain.] he sighed, pulling out a cigarette. Normally his wife would get onto him for this, but she wasn't here right now. Besides, he'd had to listen to a bunch of annoying foreigners. [So where's this so-called mothership, anyways? The sooner we blow it up, the sooner I go home.] he said, walking down the ramp. Jamming one hand down his pocket, he rested his bokken over his shoulder.
Looking Belkar up... That's kind of misjudging them. I think we've seen from the various NPC's especially that there's some people they just managed to recruit and some people who have their own not-so-bad goals and motivations. I mean, sure, there's some pretty nasty people in Shadow Eternity, but that's not all of them. They're a villainous organization but that doesn't mean every single member is chaotic evil and a lover of killing or something. There's anti-villains and stuff, too.
At the leader's last meet-up with some underling, people started threatening each other with reality-slicing spears. That's like your boss pulling an AK on you because you don't wanna take the trash out.
"NOW, ALIEN SCUM. PREPARE TO FACE JUSTICE." Toramaru cried, revealing his transformation watch. Striking a pose, he flew into the air. "HENSHIN! MASKED TIGER!" he shouted, as he activated his transfomration sequence. With a colorful outfit donning him, and a shout of "TIGER KICK" he dove toward the first alien, his heel perfectly impacting the "BREEEP BREEP BREEEP" Toramaru's hand tapped the snooze button on an alarm clock, though noise still came out of the television playing a recording of last night's episode of Sunred 0: EX Drive. Groggily, he pushed the cover off himself, and walked into his tiny room's tinier lavatory, running his fingers through his hair. He'd stayed up too late catching up on his serials, and had bags under his eyes, as he noticed while brushing his teeth. He was informed that his teeth would no longer require brushing on account of his new bone structure, but did it anyways. Next was the normal morning calisthenics of one hundred push-ups. These, too, would be unnecessary, along with any normal exercise, but Toramaru knew the value of disciplining one's body. After this, he clothed his chest with a signature Hawaiian shirt; this one was red, and decorated with palm trees. The shorts from yesterday would do fine. Slipping on his sandals, he headed out the door. -------------- "Yo." was all the man greeted the others with upon entering the hangar. He hoped they'd be going somewhere worth sightseeing today.
Guts - Konoha Outskirts With Konoha decimated by multiple tons of rotting flesh falling onto it, and the subsequent fallout as the surviving residents of its entrails began to crawl forth, the time was ripe. It was ripe for the Akatsuki to make their move. Guts looked overhead as several shadowy figures leaping overhead, dressed in long, cloudy robes. One stood out, resembling a giant plant. As soon as Guts stared at it, his Brand tore open, and a fresh trickle of blood leaked out. This was no doubt a powerful apostle, and he landed on a nearby building to observe the whale apostle Guts had just murdered. Climbing a ladder, Guts stood on top of a slightly taller building. This would work. Guts took a few steps back, and sprinted forward. His muscles pumped, and his legs propelled all several hundred pounds of weight flying off the side of the building. His right hand reached over his shoulder, and swung the Dragonslayer with enough speed to turn him forward in midair. -------------- "Oh, Zetsu! Do you think Deidara-sama would be proud of me if I caught the Jinchuriki?!" Tobi said, before he was interrupted by a terrible crash and a splatter of gore. Looking to his side, he saw half of Black Zetsu twitch towards him, and a one-eyed man lift an impossibly large sword over his shoulder, staring him down with a look of contempt. "Z-Zetsu!" he shouted. "MANGEKYO SHARINGAN: KAMUI." A shadowy energy spiraled forth from the orange mask, and consumed Guts. The Black Swordsman found himself in a new world, one pitch black with a floor made of white cubes. This wasn't good. It reminded him of a much tamer eclipse.
I suppose Siberia is an option for NPC's, though I'd have to work out who exactly to use in that case but I suppose that wouldn't take much longer. As for Guts, I was actually hoping some players who do want action would take the opportunity. However, if you really want I could send NPC's.
Please do.
I honestly can't really do much about Siberia beyond kind of watch it. I'm not particularly capable of GMing the scene due to a lack of Resident Evil knowledge and none of my characters are there and I don't know if any of the players there want the character that is free to go there. I offered multiple ways for him to enter in a way that didn't disrupt the players who wanted downtime, as well, which was nearly everyone in that scene who had just gotten done with an action sequence. I have no problem with him being around but it's not really possible to reconcile several people in the same scene wanting downtime with a player basically destroying a massive chunk of their organization's headquarters and killing who knows how many civilians.
You could have consulted a wiki or a knowledgeable player, and used NPCs. For example, I'm kinda stuck in Naruto with nothing to do now, because I refuse to do anything other than arrive via warpwhale. We've gone over this; there were other lifesigns besides Guts, and Warp stuff is too dangerous to just send dudes crawling around in there. The least you could do is send a team to check out where the corpse actually landed, and then dispose of it.
Also, I'm a little concerned that some people have gotten the wrong idea about my calls for no action in certain scenes. This isn't because I don't want any action in this RP(far from it I mean look at my character choices and the characters I've allowed in). But I was asked rather directly earlier on to give some downtime after the action scene earlier. There's still action elsewhere, but there also has to be downtime. An RP that's nothing but action is kind of boring, frankly. There needs to be a balance of action and character interaction both. I was just re-reading some of my posts and I got a little worried that my full intent might not have come across when I was talking about why I wanted certain posts edited or moved. Sorry for any confusion I might have caused, Scarifar, IncredibleBee. ... Also re-reading some posts, have to say the whole Transformium thing raises some red flags that I didn't realize before and it was not included in the bio. I'd like if it wasn't used again. Edit: As soon as everyone who needs to posts in the Coffin Girl scene I'll move it ahead. Right now that's PKMNB0Y, Dead Cruiser, and Laughing Matter(you need to move your character there).
My problem isn't your wanting downtime so much as it is that you're basically neglecting players who DO want action. You're not even keeping an eye on the lot in Siberia, and when I tried to introduce Guts to the main part of the game, you turned me away instead of playing along.
