Guts - The School

Tracing. That was the word. That was the cue. Guts hadn't been tracked since his run-in with that Holy Army, but the church hired no mages. This was no doubt the machinations of Griffith, and that meant this girl was an enemy.

Gritting his teeth, Guts rushed forward, his pupil shrinking as his hands clamped down over the Dragonslayer's hilt. Several hundred pounds of metal swung all at once in a deadly arc, cleaving through the pyromancer's waist. Just as quickly, Guts's heels dug into the concrete, and the blade swung around the Black Swordsman's head before coming back down, slicing through the pick, and the girl's head and shoulder.
I always liked this rp, and I believe the people that were a part of it were very talented writers. Whi checking has become a bit ... well, I've had trouble the past few weeks getting interested in an rp. So if we can revive this rp, that would just be all types of amazballs :)

Nobody knows where Bing is. If you wanted to revive this, I'd just start from scratch, something in a similar vein.
One of the game's big failings, for the reboot at least, is that Bing wasn't committed to the game. He appointed me and another user to GM, and I guess neither of us were really interested.

Anyways, it's probably for the best if we let this game rest in peace. Start a new game.
I may as well keep an eye on this.
Guts raised an eyebrow as the woman raised the odd device. It looked nothing like the one those other soldiers had given him before. Even if it had malfunctioned, he doubted the magical devices varied much. Moreover, Guts still didn't trust anyone who could fling spells like that. The only people who could do so were apostles, or wizards with power beyond even Schierke or her teacher. This was no woman he could just hitchhike with.

"Tell you what. Stop lying to me, tell me where I am, and I'll let you live." Guts pointed his massive sword at the woman. "I've had a long day, and I'm not in the mood for bullshit."
Don't count me out.
Guts eyed the new woman, some kind of magician, no doubt. The black swordsman holstered his repeater bow, and shouldered his massive blade, maintaining his distance.
She was talking about stuff he didn't understand. What was a scanner? What was an ummer?
More noteworthy was the way she could control flames. It didn't come from some device, so it had to have been magic- strong magic. Even Schierke couldn't conjure flames like that. The lazy attitude about meddling with supernatural forces was also a bad sign.

Guts grit his teeth, and stared down the redhead.
"The hell's your problem, kid? Fire's for sieges, not anti-infantry." he scolded the rookie.
"Now you've got a buncha undead running around on fire. As if they weren't already enough of a pain to deal with."

start the patience

I was patient six days ago.
Start the game.
Name: Ted Topping

Age: 22

Appearance: Ted is a tall, lean-built man with gaunt facial features and a pale, sickly complexion. His brown hair is parted to the side with a brush of his fingers, and he wears a set of spectacles.
He travels wearing a black single-breasted suit, unbuttoned. He is not, however, wearing shoes.

Powers/Equipment: Upon stepping on a splinter that fell from the treasure trove of treasures, Ted got a splinter in his foot. This splinter was originally a piece of a bokken belonging to a legendary swordsman, and upon being pierced with it, the ability was passed into Ted, making him into a sword sage. Ted now instinctively knows how to wield any sword regardless of type, material, or mass.
Additionally, he can summon three weapons to his aid: a strong looking bastard sword, a sleek rapier, and an oversized greatsword. All three are of plain style, and made of a dull, grayish steel.

Personality: Ted tries to keep cool about situations, with the motto "Just be nice to everyone". It takes quite a bit to make him angry. He views attacks on himself as things for fun, but attacking his friends or bullying others is over the line. That said, his cool nature combined this newfound power makes him cocky, and it's easy to crack wise and joke around, even in heated situations.
He's good natured, even if he is airheaded. His conscience tends to bite him too easily.

Brief Backstory: Ted was an average slacker, detached from meaning as he faced the ebb and flow of a solitary cycle of working, playing games, and sleeping. The thing he wanted more than anything else was a bit of excitement in an otherwise boring world.
Well, He's found it.

Other: Why wasn't he wearing shoes, you ask? He was attending a beachside wedding when he stepped on that splinter.
@IncredibleBee: Well, to start with, SE has already won once, though no SE players chose to participate in the scene. They got the item they needed from the Tanngrisnir and left. I can hardly go discussing SE's major goals without massively spoiling the plot. Even if I only tell people with SE characters, they still have UMMA characters as well for the most part and there's still spoilers involved there as well.

Switching to a mission-based format would quite honestly eradicate any non-action or conflict-based interactions, and to be frank I'm not interested in doing that. I also feel like it would be rendered largely plotless if all missions were determined by people who don't actually know where the plot is going, even if I am fairly open to suggestions for that kind of thing.

Frankly, this is sounding more like a clunky attempt at play-by-post real-time-strategy then an RP and, once again, it would largely destroy anything not based around combat or completing a mission. Character interaction is important too. The only thing I really feel is important there is ensuring that the outcome of events can be altered by players, which of course is possible.Of course I have planned events for the plot, but that's not to say that those are the only things there.

@Flamelord/PKMNBOY: Well, there's dozens of versions of each of these universes, so it's not like any of the changes made prevent people from pulling characters from these settings if they want to or anything like that. After all, it's a multiverse.

... Even AOT, as much as I'm personally not a fan of it at all.

What spoilers? It's pretty obvious that Shadow Eternity is planning to destroy the multiverse. They don't seem keen on grabbing power or money. Instead they're just grabbing random macguffins, and that generally means doomsday device.
