Fate of the Universe: Chosen Heroes!

A bluish portal of light, which @Liotrent Aeris might recognize as one from heaven (depending on the lore of his universe), appeared behind D'ren. He spun around to see Elijah Abdiel McDonnell step through, holding his wrist-watch. D'ren knew he'd screwed up. The Powers That Be had detected his insanity, his intent to disrupt this universe, and they had deployed his duplicate to detain him.

The mirror double stared at D'ren for a moment. "We have work to do. Our multiverse is fine. You cannot help these people. Besides, you kinda like to make a mess of things."

D'ren snarled at the man. Elijah pressed a button on his watch, causing time to move slower so that none of the Enforcers or other beings could interfere; pressing another button, he then brought Samyazaii, D'ren fallen angel companion, into this realm, making her physical, so that all could see.

"Don't --!" D'ren said, trying to rush forward, but felt as though he was stuck in honey.

When Elijah pressed another button, Samyazaii's physical body burst into flames and she crumbled as ashes. Then even the ashes vanished. Since the fire Elijah used was both quick and supernatural, only deadly to evil, there was no danger of setting the world on fire. By the time D'ren had gotten to Elijah, his gun pointed at his head, Elijah had touched his watch again, and D'ren vanished in blue and white light.

Then Elijah turned and walked through the portal, but not before casting a few of the heroes worried looks. The portal subsequently disappeared.

i am not editing since NPCs by definition can be controlled by other players. i will write my character out of this RP though, since clearly, my old-school way of RP (nothing i did is OP or god-moding in the traditional sense) is unacceptable to you. i will also forgo any other RPs you GM that i have taken interest in, to keep any other misunderstandings from happening in the future. i wish you all the best in your creativity! bye! :)

Sin City (movies)

Just saw Sin City: A Dame to Kill For on Netflix. I know, I'm late. I thought it would be cool to try to do a comic-noir RP. I'm not in love with this franchise like I am with Star Trek, so I wont be disappointed if no one shows any interest. I just thought it would be entertaining to have people fly around and kick ass in an overly badass way like Dwight and Hartigan and Mickey Roarke's character (forgot his name, too lazy to look it up.)

It would be set in a different city, most likely, since I havent read the comics and dont know enough about them to RP it without screwing up the mythos and lore.

the problem with people today (old, young, it doesnt matter) is instant gratification, the need to have super powers to beat people down to make themselves feel powerful. storytelling no longer really exists. character development is relegated to "weirdos" while Character Users have taken over forum RP, elevating themselves to elitists positions of power, IC and OOC.

So we get a CS for this? Choose our own circle/sins/appearance/soul color customization?

In the past, a character profile was required, though im honestly quite over that. Once i introduce the world in the OOC and IC posts, i will probably just let players show up however they want, CS or no. It works well if RPers play themselves, but they dont have to. and 99% of players couldnt/wouldnt RP as themselves if their life depended on it anyway.

As this is an interest check, and not an OOC IP, I will keep it brief.

You wake up in what appears to be an underworld of hell.
You start as a tortured slave at the bottom of the filthy denizen horde, and must work your way up.
You do that with whatever works best at the time.
Sometimes it's best to defy your master; others, to submit.
This is hell, so keep the following in mind: you will be tortured, killed, and have other violations done to you...and you cannot win in a fight against your masters without deception, persuasion, or charisma, so don't try.

I have been playing this story since 2003. It's very popular.
