Where would the heartland of the ancient Empire of the Visha have lain?

As of now, I've only completely read the Character sheets, but I see a lot of states formed from conquest following the fall of the Vishput. Given that, some stark contrast seems like a nice touch, so I'm looking at making these guys monks and scholars more than anything else. I'm debating between joining as a nation or just a small temple from which great historians come from. Whichever I make, I want this to have a flooded underground temple or city built from ruins of the Empire.

Any suggestions? What's a good place on the map given that? I'm working on the CS right now.
Pretty much any tech you can think of you can use, as long as it's not super OP.

Basically, this.

When in doubt, rule of cool.
I've only read some of the first page of the OOC, but I REALLY like how this RP looks. It's like a version of India where dwarves were the once great empire of the known world. Seriously, pretty cool.

I saw the big, green Apply icon under this RP, so I want to ask: is this still open for recruitment, as the button indicates? If so, I'd be interested in making an application.

My current idea is to make a race of amphibious, underground-dwelling creatures based off of olms that revere the ancient Visha as deities, if fallen deities whose mistakes are to be learned from. They'd be blind, very intelligent, and interested in collecting history, ultimately less interested in participating in the wars of the world above than in recording it from as many angles as possible.

I can post at least once every two days.

I still need to finish reading the IC and the OOC, as said, as well as inspecting the character tab in more depth, but I'll do that happily if the thread's still open.

@Skylar A message is going to be sent to your colony from mine after your next post. El Presidente is going to be shooting a few messages off, actually, to different groups.
I'm content to wait. Two posts is more than enough ATM.

Another lore question: are there different languages on this continent, or is this a continent where most everyone speaks the same tongue but with different dialects / accents? Also, what sort of accents do people have? (Assuming Greek/Roman/Italian for Varya...)
I hope Gabby's personality is coming through clearly enough. I also hope it's clear that italics without quotes are thoughts. The color I chose might make things hard to read?
Some chattering started up around Gabby. It was the awkward sort you make with a stranger in a place you didn't precisely choose to be. Fitting, she thought to herself, glancing around the caravan. It's not where I want to be, either.

The young mage tugged some of her blonde hair away from her face, spotting an odd bit of movement out of the corner of her eye. A particularly shady looking individual with a shock of blonde hair so blonde it could have been white crawled into the back of the wagon full of... something. Great, she thought to herself. We've got thieves crawling into our luggage before we've even left home. My, how impressive our chances for survival are! With a heavy sigh, she hunched forward like a small, tired ape and marched around to the back of that cart, focus crystal clutched tightly in her left land. She'd at least make a good first impression on the caravan by stopping a bit of theft.

"Aaaalright," she began as she circled around to get a good look at the intruder. She struck the most intimidating figure someone her size could. "You're either not supposed to be here or you're supposed to be marching along with the rest oWHOA!" Gabby's eyes spread wide open as she saw the unlucky fellow. "Whoa. Someone really did not like your face, huh?"

Wow, so much for first impressions, Gabby, her brain snapped. You're great at this whole 'not making an ass out of yourself' thing. No, really!

Shutup, brain.

Gabby cleared her throat and gave the scarred, eyepatch wearing hooligan a more careful look. He definitely had that 'hardened criminal' sort of look about him, like he stabbed people for a living or enjoyed a casual knife-fight after a bad game of cards. His clothes hung loosely on him - Those weren't made for him, thought Gabriela - but his hands were very clean - Like he just washed the blood off them or something, she thought judgmentally. His face wasn't the sort that liked to smile, but Gabby understood that; what she was more concerned about at the moment was the prospect of this guy leaping off the cart to paint her face like Weld art: a bloody mess.

So, she had a spell ready to cover herself with a big, life-saving shield, just in case.

"So, uh, would you mind getting down from there?" she asked, clearing her throat again. "I have a club. Bang."
I'll make a post in a bit, then.

@Pietra - I think McHaggis' character approached yours, too, in her entry post. I just remembered that after reading your present post. Yours is the only character on a horse, right?
I'd like to have my character interact with Dalsarad, but I don't know the rules as to how long I must wait before responding...

Yeah, that's why I'm waiting / asking too.

@Inlaa
Feel free to have Gabby pester Askeladden. He's just trying his best to go unnoticed in the supplies wagon.

That's who I was going to have her bother, actually!
So Skylar, you haven't replied to my PM about the collab for some time, just wondering about it. Also if any of you guys want TSDC, Skyguard, or any other faction to interact with TPT, let me know I'm open to it. Cheers!

It's sad because I REALLY want to approach you for something, but I just see most of the things your company contracts as things that would send off red alerts in La Parranda. "What? A Corp wants to sell us robots?! THEY'RE SPY DRONES!" Yeah.

<Snipped quote by Inlaa>

Should not be a problem. I can update it pretty easily too so just tell me what you want added.

Awesome, thanks! Yeah, any sort of visual indictator that the tunnel system goes through a square is fine.
