"Alright! Don't worry about me, I'm gonna train really hard so I can keep up with my partner, here! Trunks, let's get going?" Blaze asked, seeming much more energetic than when they'd arrived. Trunks gave her a nod, then looked to the sky as a bright light appeared and came down toward the three. The trip home taking a mere second was such a convenient thing... Perhaps this Supreme Kai was the only person in the universe capable of such things?

As the three were about to get swiped up, Rikyu gave Izaroth a Saiyan-strength pat on the back, chuckling before stepping back and letting them be consumed by the energy that'd take them home. "Come back anytime!" she shouted.

----------

With that over, the three appeared back in the Time Nest, just at the bottom of the steps leading into the scroll chamber.
"If you had Saiyan biology, that'd be a-" Trunks stopped, and stared at Rikyu for a moment, then at her fiery-haired daughter behind her. He seemed to be computing something, until he came out with it. "...You said you were a Saiyan, didn't you? So.. that would mean Blaze is like me. My father was a Saiyan, and my mother a human. I wonder if she feels any stronger after the Glacia incident."

Rikyu had decided to shake Izaroth's hand earlier, letting him know she approved of him. When Trunks started questioning Saiyan biology, a smirk came to her lips, "Do you mean to tell me she's already been beaten within an inch of her life?"

Trunks shook his hands at the woman in denial, but that was kind of the entire truth. Glacia was brutal on these two! Feeling he couldn't hide it, he exhaled and nodded, "I'm sorry, it's something I should have mentioned much earlier. Blaze was healed completely in a few hours, however."

"I was more concerned about what that means. Maybe she'll embody a legend, if she survives near-death battles enough times. A Saiyan on the brink of death who survives and recovers receives a significant boost in their power. It's happened only once to me," Rikyu explained.

Trunks nodded slowly. The grin on the mother's face suggested he wasn't about to eat his own sword in retribution!

Blaze soon rejoined the others, hugged her mother, said goodbye to her, and stood back over with her new comrades. "Ash is jealous of my new job~" she remarked proudly.

"We'll see you again soon, Blaze. Remember what I've taught you, hmm?" Rikyu said simply, and waved at the three.
"We wouldn't let either of you two die, the Supreme Kai of Time likes her Patrollers to be well cared for, on and off the battlefield," Trunks explained with more seriousness in his voice, even if he did still seem pained by getting kicked where it hurts. "Mrs. Tsila, you have my word, Blaze is in good hands."

Rikyu looked the man in the trenchcoat up and down, then turned her gaze to Izaroth, examining him the same way. She nodded, unfolded her arms, and smirked at him, "Alright. Then good luck. Just give her a strict training regime. School was slowing her down... She's got potential, but it needs to flourish in real, life and death battles. Push her limits, and I'm sure she'll become a fine guardian of time," the Saiyan concluded. She pushed the door open behind her, revealing Blaze, Ash and their father saying goodbyes.
Trunks said nothing, and fell to the ground writhing in pain.

Rikyu made a pondering hum after Izaroth was done speaking (and kicking his colleague where it hurts!). "As hard as it is to believe, that sounds like a noble enough cause. 'Time Patrol'. You're protecting.. time itself. Or perhaps just history," she mulled it over. For about a second, before casting her eyes over Trunks. "Listen. Blaze isn't to be treated as some random Frieza grunt - if I hear anything like mistreatment going on, I'll find your apparent city and show you how Saiyans deal with scum."

The black-haired, black-eyed woman then turned her gaze to Izaroth, "If you're her partner, I don't need to tell you how important she is to us, and what I'd do should she not be able to return home. You understand..." she told him.

----------

In the dining room, the girl, her brother and father could be heard laughing together. This broke Rikyu's cold demeanour for a moment as she glanced back at the door, smiling like a mother should, before she realised and snapped back into the moment.
Trunks nodded, seeming to catch on after having watched the woman's expressions. There was no doubt about it - she knew they were lying, but it wasn't like she was getting frantic or anything. The ki radiating from her told both the Patrollers that Rikyu Tsila was no stranger to what they were trying to hide.

"I need some fresh air. Blaze, take a seat, enjoy the food with your father and brother," Rikyu said as she got up to leave the room, heading into the lobby to meet with Izaroth and Trunks.

-----

After the door shut, Rikyu decided to speak first. They got her message, more or less, but she had to get the information she desired. "What's my daughter getting into, here? And how did you come to the conclusion she might make a good soldier in whatever scheme this is?" she asked her questions neutrally.
"I look forward to it, Mr Crystalis!" the little Akaviri smiled, "Do you think Miss Arcadia will let me use her alchemy equipment? I am very keen to discover what properties these ingredients might hold. Do you think she could teach me some mixtures, too? This is all very exciting to me!" she cheered before dashing off again through the streets of Whiterun.

And apparently she was a priestess, or something... It didn't show at all by this point!

----------

Aria returned to her desk, leaning back in her chair and throwing her feet up on the desk like always. It was quiet for once... And not that eerie kind, either. She considered trying to take a nap, but sleeping often resulted in the past resurfacing, and lingering at the front of her mind.

'Might be an idea to find something to help that problem... Khajiit traders have things for that, right? Could just go and drink at the Bannered Mare for a while, wouldn't hurt anyone...'
"Nah, I don't believe it! She probably just makes a good mascot!" Ash said, bursting into a mocking laughter before a finger beam like an electric shock impacted with his head, making Blaze's younger brother recoil in surprise and drop his attitude. He glared at his mother for a moment, but couldn't hold the stare against the icy woman for very long. With Ash backing down, Rikyu smiled sweetly, lowered her finger, and returned her gaze to the three.

"How interesting! Global peacekeeping is fun work, but there's very little evil left on Terra. I think I scared almost all the bad people into going legitimate..." Rikyu commented, "Deterring any conflict on the planet is nice enough, I guess. And Blaze will fit right in, I'm sure," she said whilst adopting a more casual demeanour, though her stare never broke from Izaroth. She knew it wasn't the truth, but she wasn't going to blurt that out in front of the worrying father and the bad-mannered boy...

"So, uh, listen everyone. I'll just get it out and say it - I'm going on some specialist training with these two, they're gonna show me how to perform at my best. This could take weeks, months.. I should be able to come home every now n' again, and I'm not in any real danger! It's all controlled, all regulated, and stuff." Blaze gave her short, lacking explanation. Her father seemed to buy it, and frowned slightly. Ash was too busy eating to listen, and didn't catch any it.

Rikyu simply nodded, before returning her gaze to Izaroth.
Blaze chuckled and scratched the back of her neck a little nervously, "There are no snobs behind this door, believe it or not! Mom's a little outlandish, dad's a politician, and Ash is a moron. If you focus, you can sense this weird aura coming from my mom, like she's ready to get violent, but she always seems calm... Don't tempt fate, I guess?" the Time Patroller shrugged as she pushed open the double doors to the dining room.

"Hey, not dead or worse, just went out to find a job, 'sup family?" Blaze told everyone nonchalantly, like there was no problem with disappearing!

"You're still at school." Rikyu deadpanned, having no surprise that the kid was safe and sound.

"I can dream!" Blaze retorted, shrugging again before being hugged by her father. You could tell he was trying to lift her up in joy, but she was too damn heavy! He stopped trying eventually and settled for not being able to lift her.

"I was worried! Where have you been!?" Blaze's father demanded, though he seemed far more relieved than furious.

Blaze stood aside and dramatically waved an arm toward the other two guests. A purple-haired bowlcut, and a white-haired guy. Rikyu immediately seemed interested, seeing how one of them carried a freaking sword into her home! "Co-workers, family; family, co-workers!"

She seemed so much more confident here, where as back in the city of time, she would rather stay close behind Izzy than go explore by herself, or even talk to people. This was more like the kid's real self.

"Hello... I'm Trunks, we uh...?" Trunks said quite sheepishly, looking to Izaroth to resolve the 'who the hell are we pretending to be?' question.
Trunks led the two through the gate, and on the other side of it the three would find themselves in the Time Nest. "We can transport ourselves to the present day Planet Terra, and you can tell your family anything you want. Sound good?" he asked Blaze after making sure they were through the gate.

Blaze was pretty certain it'd be the evening on Terra, by now. Showing up at random after being missing all day would be fun to explain! "Let's just get it over with. Mind if I tell them the truth about what I'm doing? Now that I think about it, mom probably won't mind a whole lot as long as I'm careful, and Ash will be so jealous..."

----------

"I'm sure she'll be back soon, dear. She's not a child anymore, she's rebelling or something," a woman with short, spiky black hair and eyes offered to the silence at the table. Nobody was eating, save for her. "Trust me, Blaze isn't in trouble! If she was, I'd already be decking face in response..."

"Come on, Rikyu, she just disappeared without a trace, it's a little worrying!" the red-haired man across from her said, looking quite upset. He seemed quite frail, while his wife seemed like an athlete of some kind. "It's not like she can just open her window and fly- oh right, never mind..." he trailed off, looking defeated.

A red-haired boy with similar spiked hair ate his food with a dull expression plastered on his face, looking between his mother and father as they brought the topic up again. He couldn't help but imagine his sister was on some awesome adventure, and that he was missing out...

"She's the second strongest thing on this planet, honest, quit worrying..." Rikyu muttered, somehow completely unfazed by her child's disappearance.

----------

Just outside, the three appeared from a blinding light on the doorstep of the expensive-looking Tsila Household. A mansion, courtyard, flashy family car, a helicopter pad on the roof... Apparently Blaze's family were of some political importance here on Terra! That, or they were criminal masterminds. But the former seemed more feasible.

Blaze whistled casually as if nothing had happened, and strolled inside. The lobby was like something you'd find in a luxury hotel, but she didn't stop to admire it or anything, the redhead picked up the pace as she smelled the food in the dining room, first one on the left.

"Guys, feel like meeting my family? We can say you're just work pals, nothing dangerous!" Blaze suggested cheerfully as she rested a hand on the door, ready to push it open and finally see everyone again.
I'd be interested! Need to get back into RP n' creativity n' stuff. Should I get to the end of The Division (as far as it goes) first, though?
