There was a long silence after the dissipation of the tornado winds, even the spectators couldn't find the words for Izaroth's display - the only sound was the latter's laboured breaths after exhausting himself. Glacia was bruised and cut all over, but he didn't tremble or lose his footing. He was virtually dormant until about twenty seconds had gone by. The alien took two slow steps, turning to face a hovering Izaroth.

"I would say... that was indeed your very best. Impressive, human. Very impressive... But it's not over until one of us is recovering in a healing tank," Glacia said quite calmly, though his voice sounded rough after being beaten so much. He lifted off the ground and prepared a fairly weak ki blast, just to finally knock his opponent out. "You fought wel-"

Before Glacia could finish, a pink coloured blur flew straight past Izaroth, and latched into the Frieza raceman's tail. It was that odd Majin from the diner, her sharp teeth dug deep into his tail and drawing blood. Didn't take long for the tail to sever and for the Majin to start attacking Glacia with it. The spectators couldn't quite decide whether this was horrifying or hilarious! Glacia eventually started to fight back, enraged.

"MAJA, TRUNKS SAID YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THAT! I'll have to revert to my first form, then work my way up again! Just to have a tail!" Glacia yelled as the intensity of the ridiculous fight picked up.

"It's funny 'cuz you shouldn't fall for it the fifth time!" The Majin laughed manically, in a somewhat adorable voice, and threw the tail away, blocking and countering blows from an exceedingly pissed-off Elite Patroller. All the while, she looked extremely pleased with her 'surprise tail removal'.

----------

Blaze flew over to Izaroth and helped guide him away from the new fight, her arm hadn't repaired but she still had one to lend her partner. The both of them had to rest. The ugly alien had said something about healing tanks, so she assumed that meant there would be a red and white building somewhere designated as a hospital.

Trunks showed as well, opting to help Izaroth fly than get caught up in Maja's sadistic 'prank'. "I heard he challenged the both of you, but I never imagined you'd still be conscious. You managed.. mostly! We're flying you to a healing centre, alright?"

"To be perfectly honest... I wasn't expecting that to damage him as much as it did..." Izaroth said through laboured breathing, occasionally glancing backwards at Glacia and Maja going toe to toe with one-another.

"Mind sending someone to pick up my gi though? Preferably before whoever she is decides to eat it. Just make sure it's someone physically strong; It's heavier than it looks." Izaroth said as he basically went limp, the adrenaline of the past few moments wearing off coupled with his exhaustion having taken it's toll on him.

"If this is what the higher-end patrollers are like, I'm gonna need to step up my game if I want to keep up."

"They call Glacia, myself, my partner and that Majin the 'Time Patrol Elite' for a reason. All of our people train and push themselves, but there's a select group we entrust with high-risk operations. He wouldn't have attacked you if we didn't recruit you for the purpose of joining the Elite. You both just need to get far stronger... Porunga chose you two of all the beings in the universe. The rest is up to us," Trunks explained as the three landed safely away from the mad fight, in a built up area. The island they'd arrived on was apparently the Toki Toki City Medical Centre. "Let's get you both inside and in a tank to heal up."

--------------------

Later on, Blaze's eyes fluttered open to reveal she was floating in some kind of pod, filled with green liquid. It felt very relaxing - she'd fall asleep if she wasn't filling her mind with yet more questions! A bird-looking alien gave the girl a warm smile from outside, and signalled for the fluid to be drained. That was calming, at least. Evidently only that freakish Glacia character wanted to hurt her. The other aliens seemed okay! Before long the healing pod was drained and the lid opened for the occupant to step out in her own time. Only now did Blaze realise it: she was in her freaking underwear AGAIN! First the dragon, then aliens taking her clothes off while she was unconscious!?

'No! No, no no, don't think like that. They're doctors, they're professional about this kind of thing! Relax~...' Blaze thought as she gently removed the wiring stuck to her. She folded her arms over her chest and stepped out of the pod, gazing around, lost. Was Izaroth here too?

"It seems you're back to a hundred percent, my dear! Do try and stay calm - we're aware this is all very new to you," the man-bird-alien sqwawked quite coherently and politely. "Let me just fetch you something to cover up with," he continued before walking over to a table with what looked like Izaroth's Gi, and Blaze's school uniform, both packed up nearly, clean and repaired. Convenient!

'I should really get home to explain this like Trunks said. Mom and Dad must be terrified... How long was I sleeping anyway?' Blaze thought.

Izaroth himself was still out of it in the next healing pod/room. Much like Blaze, he too had been undressed down to his underwear, which was a mere pair of boxer shorts. Physically, he wasn't as muscular as most people realise, being above average in that regard, but in his eyes, being a walking mass of muscle only served to draw attention to him. Though given he was more injured than Blaze was in the fight against Glacias, it makes sense he'd take a little longer to recover, the oxygen mask being the only thing keeping him from drowning. He did show signs of stirring, however.

"99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer... Wait what?" Izaroth thought to himself, as his eyes slowly began to open, and after his vision came back into focus, realised the situation he was in.

"...Please may they not have done invasive surgery while I was out. Izaroth thought to himself, as he simply floated there and waited for a time.

"Here, this is for you," the bird-alien said to Blaze as he struggled over to her, offering the girl not her uniform, but a pair of jeans, a black shirt and some black boots. There was a blue jacket in her size that came with it, with that same "CC" logo on the shoulder, but the temperature in the hospital was just fine. Not wanting to be exposed for any longer than she had to be, Blaze would get dressed sharpish! The weight of the clothing seemed.. different. It was like the clothes were drowned wet in weight, but everything was perfectly dry.

"Huh. This is a thing," Blaze remarked as she pulled on the shirts shoulder slightly, chuckling as gravity forced it straight back down, making her shake a little at the sensation. "Neat!"

The bird-alien moved on to Izaroth then, noticing his awakening. He'd do the same as he did with the girl, drain the pod and then open it, and then jog off to fetch him his own set of the standard 'Time Patroller' outfit. For Izaroth however, it took two nurses and the doctor to haul the set of clothes over!

Izaroth naturally shook himself off to try and dry himself, running hands through his hair to try and get it back to how it was prior to being stuck in the healing pod, taking the time out to stretch his limbs before the doctors returned. Naturally, Izzy was quick to put two and two together in regards to why it took two nurses and a doctor to carry a single set of clothes.

"Weighted training clothes. And from the looks of it, it probably weighs about the same as my own Gi if it's taking 3 people to carry it." Izaroth thought to himself as he took the clothes off their hands. To Blaze it would look like the Doctors and nurses didn't get much exercise if they can't carry a pile of clothing, but if she asked Izaroth to hold a piece of it, she'd regret it.

Internal monologues aside, Izaroth then began to promptly dress himself, starting with the shirt first followed by the jeans. Izaroth's own uniform was identical to Blaze's, save for his being a few sizes larger for obvious reasons. Blue jacket, Black Shirt, Jeans, Black Boots.

"Hm. I wonder how this would look in Black and Red...?" Izzy said to no-one in particular as he began to inspect the clothing. He noticed the jacket in question was cut somewhat short, but other than that, everything seemed fine. He wasn't sure about how restrictive it'd be in an actual combat situation however.

"I think that would look pretty awesome, myself," Blaze chimed in as she strolled up to Izaroth. He looked much better than before. Those healing tanks were magic or something! "I guess we've survived day one."

"Usually Glacia drops anyone he fights in seconds. You two have a lot of potential!" Trunks said as he entered the room, "We should get going. If I remember correctly, Blaze wanted to talk to her family but hasn't gotten the chance yet. What about you?" he asked Izaroth.

"Only child, as far as I know. Never knew my folks. Been a drifter for the majority of my life so far, so the decision's a lot easier for me to make, at least. And that was a hell of a brutal initiation..." Izaroth said, as he took out a rounded cylinder from his old gi with a switch on the top and pressed it with his thumb, and the cylinder in question then beeped a few times before a green light lit up, illuminating the switch.

"Alright. My ship got the signal, at least. Probably be a while before it gets here though. I forgot what course I'd charted prior to being warped here." The silver-haired Saiyan said to himself, before returning his attention to Trunks.

"Either way, the important thing is getting her back home as soon as possible so she can speak with her folks, right?"

"Right. So we'll get that done first. Your belongings are going to be delivered to the island that houses the majority of the Time Patrol's warriors in the meantime. Do you want us to come with you, Ms. Tsila?" Trunks asked on his way out of the room. Soon enough the group would end up leaving the hospital, on their way to another of those mirage-like warp gates.

As they approached the gate, Blaze finally spoke up, "Y'know what? Why not. I'll be fighting alongside you guys, and entrusting my life to you both, so... I'm sure my mom n' dad would love to meet you! Just.. ignore my brother when we get there," she decided.

Trunks shrugged a shoulder as they paused at the gate, "What's our story?"

Blaze made a long "Hmmm~", and stepped through, coming out again at the Time Nest, where they'd first witnessed the sinister changing of Earth's timeline, involving the two Saiyans and the Namekian. "Izzy, any ideas? I'm real tempted to tell them I'm part of a space-time-defending organization, but I doubt that's what they want to hear!"

"I never really knew my folks, so I can't help you there." Izaroth said, shrugging as he walked.

"I pretty much built a whole ship from scrap to get off the world I was practically ditched on when I was a kid, which over time, through repairs, modifications, and day-to-day operations here and there, became the vessel I use to this day." The white haired warrior said as he looked at Blaze, before returning his gaze forward.

"It's not a large ship by any means, but it can really move. A little something I cooked up when I grew fed up of conventional space travel one day. Helped me survive a few skirmishes too. Sometimes retreat is an effective strategy in and of itself."

Trunks led the two through the gate, and on the other side of it the three would find themselves in the Time Nest. "We can transport ourselves to the present day Planet Terra, and you can tell your family anything you want. Sound good?" he asked Blaze after making sure they were through the gate.

Blaze was pretty certain it'd be the evening on Terra, by now. Showing up at random after being missing all day would be fun to explain! "Let's just get it over with. Mind if I tell them the truth about what I'm doing? Now that I think about it, mom probably won't mind a whole lot as long as I'm careful, and Ash will be so jealous..."

----------

"I'm sure she'll be back soon, dear. She's not a child anymore, she's rebelling or something," a woman with short, spiky black hair and eyes offered to the silence at the table. Nobody was eating, save for her. "Trust me, Blaze isn't in trouble! If she was, I'd already be decking face in response..."

"Come on, Rikyu, she just disappeared without a trace, it's a little worrying!" the red-haired man across from her said, looking quite upset. He seemed quite frail, while his wife seemed like an athlete of some kind. "It's not like she can just open her window and fly- oh right, never mind..." he trailed off, looking defeated.

A red-haired boy with similar spiked hair ate his food with a dull expression plastered on his face, looking between his mother and father as they brought the topic up again. He couldn't help but imagine his sister was on some awesome adventure, and that he was missing out...

"She's the second strongest thing on this planet, honest, quit worrying..." Rikyu muttered, somehow completely unfazed by her child's disappearance.

----------

Just outside, the three appeared from a blinding light on the doorstep of the expensive-looking Tsila Household. A mansion, courtyard, flashy family car, a helicopter pad on the roof... Apparently Blaze's family were of some political importance here on Terra! That, or they were criminal masterminds. But the former seemed more feasible.

Blaze whistled casually as if nothing had happened, and strolled inside. The lobby was like something you'd find in a luxury hotel, but she didn't stop to admire it or anything, the redhead picked up the pace as she smelled the food in the dining room, first one on the left.

"Guys, feel like meeting my family? We can say you're just work pals, nothing dangerous!" Blaze suggested cheerfully as she rested a hand on the door, ready to push it open and finally see everyone again.

"...Wish I had digs this fancy. Maybe I should look into finding somewhere to build something similar. Beachfront property sounds like it'd be ideal." Was all Izaroth said, voicing his train of thought upon their 'Arrival', glancing around the building curiously, before stepping inside, only to resume his observations once he was inside as Blaze led them to the door to the dining hall.

"...How much money do her folks rake in each day...?" Izaroth said to no-one in particular, the Saiyan in disguise was in awe as he took note of all the lobby's features.

"Anything we need to know in advance? I've already filled my quota of received pain right now, and would rather prefer I didn't go over it cause we said something we shouldn't have." Izaroth said, stopping a few strides short of Blaze's position, quickly assuming that her family was inside that room, and didn't want to just jump straight in without knowing a little more about the people he was about to meet.

Blaze chuckled and scratched the back of her neck a little nervously, "There are no snobs behind this door, believe it or not! Mom's a little outlandish, dad's a politician, and Ash is a moron. If you focus, you can sense this weird aura coming from my mom, like she's ready to get violent, but she always seems calm... Don't tempt fate, I guess?" the Time Patroller shrugged as she pushed open the double doors to the dining room.

"Hey, not dead or worse, just went out to find a job, 'sup family?" Blaze told everyone nonchalantly, like there was no problem with disappearing!

"You're still at school." Rikyu deadpanned, having no surprise that the kid was safe and sound.

"I can dream!" Blaze retorted, shrugging again before being hugged by her father. You could tell he was trying to lift her up in joy, but she was too damn heavy! He stopped trying eventually and settled for not being able to lift her.

"I was worried! Where have you been!?" Blaze's father demanded, though he seemed far more relieved than furious.

Blaze stood aside and dramatically waved an arm toward the other two guests. A purple-haired bowlcut, and a white-haired guy. Rikyu immediately seemed interested, seeing how one of them carried a freaking sword into her home! "Co-workers, family; family, co-workers!"

She seemed so much more confident here, where as back in the city of time, she would rather stay close behind Izzy than go explore by herself, or even talk to people. This was more like the kid's real self.

"Hello... I'm Trunks, we uh...?" Trunks said quite sheepishly, looking to Izaroth to resolve the 'who the hell are we pretending to be?' question.

"...An Aura that radiates a desire to fight...? Sounds like..." Izaroth said to himself, his train of thought being cut off as Blaze opened the doors to the dining hall and greeted her folks.

"So this is what family is like..." Izaroth thought to himself, remaining quiet throughout Blaze's interactions, up until she mentioned them as "Co-workers", and after having introduced himself, Trunks looked at him as though he were trying to disclose what they do, only to fail at finding the words.

"How the hell are you the one in charge?" Izaroth whispered to Trunks, before taking a cough to clear his throat.

"Izaroth Aestorm. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." The silver haired Saiyan said, and despite Rikyu's aura unnerving him, he took a bow as a gesture of courtesy. Izaroth was no novice at introducing himself to strangers, after all.

"We work for a security firm that keeps the peace globally, be it through prevention by presence, or non-lethal hand-to-hand combat. Blaze was able to match Trunks here, so we extended a job offer to her. Don't mind his sword too much; It's mostly just a scare tactic." Izaroth said. Trunks and Blaze would know he's lying outright, but he expected her father and her sibling to take the bait. His main concern, however, was with Rikyu. He had a suspicion that she wasn't going to believe him so simply.

"Nah, I don't believe it! She probably just makes a good mascot!" Ash said, bursting into a mocking laughter before a finger beam like an electric shock impacted with his head, making Blaze's younger brother recoil in surprise and drop his attitude. He glared at his mother for a moment, but couldn't hold the stare against the icy woman for very long. With Ash backing down, Rikyu smiled sweetly, lowered her finger, and returned her gaze to the three.

"How interesting! Global peacekeeping is fun work, but there's very little evil left on Terra. I think I scared almost all the bad people into going legitimate..." Rikyu commented, "Deterring any conflict on the planet is nice enough, I guess. And Blaze will fit right in, I'm sure," she said whilst adopting a more casual demeanour, though her stare never broke from Izaroth. She knew it wasn't the truth, but she wasn't going to blurt that out in front of the worrying father and the bad-mannered boy...

"So, uh, listen everyone. I'll just get it out and say it - I'm going on some specialist training with these two, they're gonna show me how to perform at my best. This could take weeks, months.. I should be able to come home every now n' again, and I'm not in any real danger! It's all controlled, all regulated, and stuff." Blaze gave her short, lacking explanation. Her father seemed to buy it, and frowned slightly. Ash was too busy eating to listen, and didn't catch any it.

Rikyu simply nodded, before returning her gaze to Izaroth.

Rikyu's gaze told Izaroth all he needed to know about the situation, and as such, he knew she'd probably ask himself or Trunks to talk in private before long.

"Trunks, can I have a quick word in private? It's about settling an issue with a certain employee of ours." Izaroth said, clearly telling another bluff, but was keeping his composure throughout, though Trunks would know something was up, but he wouldn't know what until Izaroth flat out told him.

After his answer, Izaroth would give another bow to Rikyu, Ash and Blaze's father, then turned to look at Blaze.

"Take as long as you need. Probably be a while till you get the chance to come home for a time." Izaroth said, before exiting the room and headed outside.

Trunks nodded, seeming to catch on after having watched the woman's expressions. There was no doubt about it - she knew they were lying, but it wasn't like she was getting frantic or anything. The ki radiating from her told both the Patrollers that Rikyu Tsila was no stranger to what they were trying to hide.

"I need some fresh air. Blaze, take a seat, enjoy the food with your father and brother," Rikyu said as she got up to leave the room, heading into the lobby to meet with Izaroth and Trunks.

-----

After the door shut, Rikyu decided to speak first. They got her message, more or less, but she had to get the information she desired. "What's my daughter getting into, here? And how did you come to the conclusion she might make a good soldier in whatever scheme this is?" she asked her questions neutrally.

"...Honestly, I'm not the one who made that call." Izaroth said, before letting out a sigh.

"In truth, I'm kind of in the same boat as Blaze. No doubt you're wondering why she'd just up and vanish without warning. Up until about a day or so ago, I was a simple traveller, going from point A to point B wherever those may be. One moment I'm just sat casually reading aboard my ship while it ran on autopilot, next thing I know, I'm suddenly in the middle of some kind of plaza, in a city I'd never heard of before, and being "asked" to join an organization known as the Time Patrol... If you call attacking us a means of asking a favour." Izaroth said, pinching the bridge of his nose as he finished speaking.

"The kicker though? I'm sure you've probably heard rumors of the Dragon Balls, right?" Izaroth said, before glancing at Trunks to provide Rikyu with an explanation of the Dragon Balls just in case she had no idea.

"Basically, this guy made a wish to a dragon that grants 3 wishes to summon a pair of warriors who would basically work as companions with an unbreakable bond. One wish summoned Blaze, the other, me. Naturally, I wanted to sock him one for it. I deduced, however, that Porunga, the dragon who called us, likely chose me and Blaze, combatants yet to hit their stride, over established warriors as we were basically big unknowns. We didn't have things like pride to get in the way of forming a solid degree of teamwork and camaraderie." Izaroth said, and without warning, kicked Trunks below the belt.

"That's for not warning us about Glacia."

Trunks said nothing, and fell to the ground writhing in pain.

Rikyu made a pondering hum after Izaroth was done speaking (and kicking his colleague where it hurts!). "As hard as it is to believe, that sounds like a noble enough cause. 'Time Patrol'. You're protecting.. time itself. Or perhaps just history," she mulled it over. For about a second, before casting her eyes over Trunks. "Listen. Blaze isn't to be treated as some random Frieza grunt - if I hear anything like mistreatment going on, I'll find your apparent city and show you how Saiyans deal with scum."

The black-haired, black-eyed woman then turned her gaze to Izaroth, "If you're her partner, I don't need to tell you how important she is to us, and what I'd do should she not be able to return home. You understand..." she told him.

----------

In the dining room, the girl, her brother and father could be heard laughing together. This broke Rikyu's cold demeanour for a moment as she glanced back at the door, smiling like a mother should, before she realised and snapped back into the moment.

"...Honestly, I have no idea what to expect, so I can't really give an exact estimate of the kind of danger we'll be in. It's my first day on the job too, afterall. However, I'll do my damnedest to keep her safe, even if it kills me to do it. On that, I swear." Izaroth said, locking his gaze with Rikyu as he spoke, taking a more contemplative stance for the first sentence, before letting one hand drop to his side, and slamming his fist with the other against his chest with the other.

"Though if something does take me down and out, she probably won't be far behind. Here's hoping she can keep herself out of trouble if that happens." The silver haired Saiyan thought to himself as he picked Trunks off the ground with one hand and dropped him onto his feet.

"If something does happen to her though, chances are I'll probably not be far behind joining her. So you'll have to take it up with this guy if that happens."
