I'm actually somewhat impressed people showed up so soon. I'd like to see at least two more on the list so then I know theres at least a pool of possible characters.

Besides that feel free to ask questions about details.
Pokemon: Brass Version

Man has a skill like no other creature. They take from the environment to create and build new original works. It is that skill which has launched the world into a revolution of technology. Steam, the simple creation of fire and water now has begun to power cities, trains, and far greater feats. This is all possible thanks to the astounding creatures that inhabit the earth known as Pokemon.

This rapid growth in technology, industry, and population has changed life the world over. Not all of it for the better. Pollution is a new and real threat in some areas, and new questions of ethics are being raised by critics of the scientific community as pokemon have become a major field of study. Pokemon in the workplace is nothing new, but some factories have pushed to have large teams of pokemon working near non-stop to meet demand. Scientists and officials are split on whether this treatment is acceptable, while others question if we can continue without despite that.

The Nation of Entrin has been the forefront of this industrial revolution, and now seeks to help modernize it’s colonies. It’s long time ally/colony Philitri has happily become the new center of scientific study and industrial invention thanks to its large mines as well as its massively varied environments including a desert, rainforest, mountains which even have a large snow covered area atop them, and far far more.

You are a member of a small group organized by the Entrin University of Pokemon Human studies. Each of you provide something different, but are all well bodied and at least semi-skilled pokemon trainers. You have been asked to visit Philitri to assist Professor Donald Palm in his current survey of the island’s pokemon. The entire trip there is funded by the University and a decent amount of supplies were provided to each person. All members were also offered a very nice sum of money by Riecher Industries for information on the pokemon, resources, and new inventions developed in the region. Riecher doesn’t always seem like the cleanest of organizations, but they are loyal to the crown and provide a large amount of the products made in Entrin. This trip provides you a once in a lifetime chance to see rare pokemon, the latest in steam technology, and serve the crown.

Enhanced Details:

I’m looking for about four other people for this RP.

This is going to be a more serious and darker look at pokemon. That is not to say this can’t be fun, but pokemon and people can die. If a pokemon goes beyond being knocked down (Not pokemon don’t faint they are just too tired to keep fighting. they still can do all normal things and help a little.) they will receive physical injuries (normal pokemon battles will just leave them sore and tired).

This is fantasy steampunk not just the real world steam revolution. There are tons of fancy devices that you can only dream of including airships, semi-modern firearms, and pokemon containment spheres. The PCS use resonating aura crystals that can hold the pokemon (this is based on the aura crystals from “Lucario and the Mystery of Mew”) the balls are brass with a button and blue crystals in an array on the inside (they function like a normal pokeball).

Pokemon for your starters will be listed in the OOC. I have a MASSIVE list ready. This is just so no one starts with a dragon or a lucario (as lucario is a basic pokemon and riolu a baby). As for pokemon you can find most anything that fits the setting is fine. Just ask me if you aren’t sure. I will “give” rare pokemon to those who deserve them. Ex. your character does an excellent job during the first arc near the start of the second you may find a dratini while filling your canteen.

I prefer pokemon to not be the same visually. I do a lot of sprite recoloring so I’d like to see different colored pokemon. It’s also far more likely as not every animal is the same exact color. If you want a normal one fine, but if you find another the chances are it will look different.

We as people can attack pokemon if need be. Everything we do counts as normal type, weapons count as fighting or steel depending. Anything more specific can be specified then Ex. dumping a bucket of water on a charmander would hurt it somewhat, hitting a bulbasaur with a torch would do fire dmg.

I can answer all other questions in due time.
where he left his fedora, muffins and his jacket.

Oh boy guys He's brought breakfast for everyone!
2 things. civilized doesn't mean you can't have simple and natural ideals. The elves I've described are civilized they just respect the environment and aren't too found of the incoming groups.

and so if you have a native group that might fit the character I'd like to play i may consider looking into it.
If I could do more of a Wood Elf native sort of character rather than the high elf styled ones you have depicted then I'd be more interested. When it comes to frontiers always fun to have the native who wants to hold people back. I can give you a whole documentary on this group/race of elves.

It explain simple things:

Tribe name: Noatik

Territory Central Canada down into northern parts of the Dakotas. More often they live in the north and travel to the south for better hunting and trade. They do travel further, but more out of their own wishes rather than covering needs.

Appearance: Traditional wood elf with a darker skin more of a beige or tan color (some are paler or darker). Hair varies from a rich brown, to a bright autumn red, to a vaguely green shade of off brown. Otherwise they are very like normal elves in height and stature etc.

They are a traditional group with method rituals and beliefs which they hold to. They do not like the foreign races though they are kind to other native groups, but see incoming groups as destroying the balance of nature. Crossing them is a terrible idea. They will put up with some who travel to the new world, but find the cities and factories excessive. They are not anti-technology, but they do think it must be managed greatly. They do not use factories or any engines, but do produce firearms (Most famously revolvers, long rifles, and some impressive shotguns), have three large population centers in their territory, but they do not use steel as a building materiel instead using the super hard ironwoods they build their cities around.

I have plenty more ready, but don't want to waste your time if its a new for adding these elves.
Hmmm i could pull out a fantastic Ranger/Mage for this. Narick Harrir and his White Rend Owl Boreas. Nothing like that weirdo who talks to their pet. Is a maybe for me.
I know im reading. I already love the subtly of magic in this world. I'm honored to be slush. Perhaps for fun I'll write what mark is up to anyway. If that's alright of course. After all this is your IP Naril.

If ya need me then Mark will be up to speed universe wise as I'd send him back to Poland for more work but in contact with PHI. I wanted Mark to grow into a powerful warlock as the story progressed so maybe now is a god time for him to learn and show he's not like every other magic user [no offense to the magic users just Mark is sort of a prodigy, but lacking material. As soon as he has more manuscripts and such hell be a very proficient warlock]

Anyway, congrats to those selected. Don't dissapoint me :p
Well I'm certainty excited even if I don't get in. It's like going through NASA, even if you don't get to be on the rocket seeing it fly is still a thing of beauty.

EDIT: already from the first two posts I know this is going to be something I read.
EDIT: I have decided to redact my character as sadly he just hasn't come together as I've wanted him to. Sorry. I write for the character almost always, so now without him there's no point in my continuing.
Hey I thought that was my shtick.

I kid but hey.

very different methods. Mines a tinkerer who's been squating in vault 112 (as you can access it later and the robots don't attack you.) Jasper will be a thinking character that is doing this all logistically. He might save you if you can be worth it, or he'll shoot you and leave you for bait.
