The Rise of the Guardian

Carth looked to Scarlet when she proposed going west after getting something to eat. He also remembered the news from last night. "Wait now theres monsters North, South AND West?" Surprised about this new information. Thinking about it a bit before telling Scarlet their original plan. "We had planned North to the soldier base and see what happened there, then South to see why Assassin's were making themselves known." He looked to Ash before getting up from his seat. "I'll be back, I'll get us breakfast." He then headed down to the innkeeper about breakfast.

Going through the hall he felt a stinging pain to his left arm and hissed out like he had been burned. He rubbed at the spot on his forearm before continuing on. He was confused by what had just happened but would deal with it later knowing there were more important matters at hand then a sting to his arm.

Once breakfast was obtained, he took the tray back to Ash's room where they could plan and eat to figure their new plan.

Carth looked in Ash's direction upon hearing her groan before then looking to Scarlet when she entered the room her things. Getting the straps over his chest set and settled securely, Carth got his gloves on quickly. He walked over toward her bed and sat down at one of the chairs. "That's because you were poisoned, and Scarlet helped. You think you might be able to sit up? I'm sure I can bring some food up for you if you are not able to stand just yet." Carth offers.

Carth woke up with a stretch of his body from head to toe like a cat. A couple of snap and crackle pops later, Carth relaxes and sits up to look about him. Seeing he was on the floor, Carth stands up to look more about his surroundings to see Ash on the bed and still asleep. With that in mind, notes Scarlet was not in the room but probably had gone back to her room to pack up. 

Looking to see that Ash was still asleep, Carth figured to go get dressed after grabbing his sword, and get his things packed up. Entering his room, Carth pulled all the wires and traps he had set up. He then got dressed quickly, mainly his shirt, boots and belts. Once everything was packed he went straight back to Ash's room where he would set his bag and sword aside and put on his heavy leather Pauldron while checking up on Ash. His gloves tucked between his belts.

Carth gave another nod before then laying on the floor at the foot of the bed, ignoring his needs for a pillow and blanket. As soon as he put his own arm as a pillow and got a tab comfy, it did not take long for sleep to consume him and he was soundly asleep as far as anyone could tell.

Carth gave a nod, his attention to Ash when she stirred. He let her be but the adrenaline mixed with an already tired mind was taking a toll on Carth. He was tires and he knew he wouldn't be able to stay awake to watch over Ash. His own body ready to give itself rest. Carth stands up and stretches. "I do not think I can stay awake. I am already starting to feel sleepy. If it is alright. I would like to sleep at the window in case someone tries a window again." He looks to Scarlet with a smile. "Thank you. For helping Ash." He said sincerely.

Carth gave a tired shrug. "They don't know either. That's something I think she wanted to find out." He was silent for a moment before something clicked. "Maybe they were like that stranger. Going after her because this Lady of Dark wants her." He looks to Scarlet and then from a serious conversation, gives her a goofy grin. "Though I say the more the merrier! I wouldn't mind a tag along!"

Carth took a seat on another chair and leaned back. Looking about himself to realize that he was top less. 'Ooops. Oh well.' He sighs and let's it be. No need to be shy now. He looked looks to Scarlet then. "We were heading North. The Rangers wanted to find out where these creatures were coming from, they figure that they are after Ash but not sure why. I offered my services to them to help her since they wanted to send her since they couldn't send anyone else." Carth explains as he had looked to Ash then, arms crossed over his chest and leaning against the back of the chair.

Carth's shoulders sagged a little though seemed in thought. Old ruins, Dragon Clans, which he thought a myth when that was brought up. But what he noticed and now mentioned twice now, this....Lady of the Dark. Wandering who this Lady is and why go after Ash? Did Ash do something wrong to this Lady? What happened at all that caused this.

Such thoughts again abandoned when he heard a soft, weak voice call his name. Carth looked away from Scarlet to Ash. "It's okay Ash." Laying his hand to her shoulder. "You're safe get some rest." Carth advised with a small reassuring smile. Best to have rest and more aware to explain what happen.

Carth perked up a little and rose to his feet. Looking to what peaked Scarlet's attention. Once he saw the stage marking, Carth looked curious even with a tilted head of confusion. "Old warrior markings?" He then glanced to his left forearm before his attention back to Scarlet. "Do you what they say?" He asks her for he was clueless.

Carth seemed to understand and nodded. However Ash being called his girl only made him Blush which he tried to hide. They were comrades. Maybe even a budding friendship. He was only starting to get to know her, if only bit by bit.

His thoughts came to a halt as he heard Scarlet speak. He looked up to suddenly see some seals on the head board. Carth obeyed and scooped Ash up and placed her on the bed gently. He went to the pillows on the floor and moved them back to the bed and gently under her head. "I see. Thank you. He then grabbed his sword, closed the window before setting his sword by the bed and sitting by the bed. "Thank you. It's Carth. Nice to meet you."
