@Mae I've found that unless you pay for a subscription, it's a little clunky. However, once you pay for Dynamic Lighting, oh boy, the world opens up for you. The character sheets are also insanely helpful, especially in a complicated Tabletop setting like Pathfinder (or slightly less complicated but still involved like 5e). If you have any questions, shoot me a PM. I can help with quite a few things from minor technical issues to coding formulas.

Hey all, JB here.
I'm a DM for a large number of games here on RPG, as well as a player in several others. Many of the games I run are overly complex, or they involve Dungeons and Dragons (which is also overly complex!).
I work 40+ hours a week, and am the proud father of two tiny terrors named Chibi and Chibette and married to my beautiful Wifey. As such, I am quite busy more often than not. I typically write 2-5 paragraphs per reply and try to maintain an excellent level of grammar. If you noticed me glancing at your profile, I probably was looking to see if you would be a good match for my RPing style. Even if I didn't send a PM to you, feel free to send one back!
I enjoy 1x1 RPs and small groups. I'm fond of medieval, steampunk, and futuristic settings, and I'll jump into romance, adventure, and slice of life RPs fairly quickly, although supernatural (vampires, werewolves, etc) RPs get old for me pretty quickly. If you're looking for an RP partner and I've glanced at your profile, then I'm most likely willing to give it a shot, but decided against PMing you because I'm actually kinda shy. Wasn't sure how much advertising is allowed here, so I left it off. But my Mod forum is at Nakateleeli's Vagrant Epochers. You can see most of the above-mentioned items there. Particularly the Persona RP is quite interesting once it got going (about 100 posts in, but yeah). My DnD shenanigans are on Roll20 instead of the forum.
I know I'm new to this forum, but I also am looking for a play-by-post RP D&D 5e. I DM'd a game that just ended (lasted about a year or so), so I'm fairly well-versed in mechanics and would be willing to help with any questions people would have. I'm also really interested in trying out some of the new Unearthed Arcana archetypes. I'm playing a Revised Beastmaster Ranger in another game, and she's been quite fun to play.
It looks to me that there are at least 5 or more people interested in starting up a game. Although I've DM'd before, I would prefer not to DM as my first game on a new forum, so I won't toss my hat into that particular ring. But I feel like it might be a good opportunity to talk about things like settings, house rules (if any), who the DM would be, etc.

I'm looking to find a new home, and hopefully some fun and interesting people. I have DM'd several RPs, most of which are based on existing works, including a four-year RP based on Persona, as well as RPs based on Mass Effect, Kingdom Hearts, FATE, .hack, and some creations of my own. I have also GM'd a D&D 5e game that recently wrapped up, and I am a participant in another D&D 5e game as well as a Pathfinder game that alternates on weekends off-site. I would like to find some play-by-post games to keep me busy in my downtime.
