Birth-date / Location October 19th - Saguenay: Quebec, Canada
Appearance Lukas stands at an average height of 6' 0" from the ground up, holding a moderately bulky composure. Whilst he isn't the most impressive looking man in terms of strength and intimidation in appearance, he does hold a stable and strong foundation to his build. In specifics, his hair sits in a brunette ruffle, lengthened by the months of not keeping up with his military regulation, followed by his facial hair that subsequently surrounds his mouth, jaw and cheeks in its slightly darker tone. These tones blend nicely with his aqua-blue eyes that seem to give off a strong symbolic nature of innocence and purity. With a pale tone of skin, he stands as one of the regular Quebecois citizens; it is easy to distinguish both the Canadian and French influences on his appearance through generations upon generations of family trees and so forth. When it comes to clothing, especially in the outbreak, Lukas is sure to be dressed in his Canadian-Issued combat BDU, which holds a dark brown colour palette to give adjusting camouflage in both mountainous, desert-based and forest environments respectively, much like his division already had. Included on the BDU is the issued webbing, tailored to suit his combat role more effectively in providing ammunition and stationary utilities for operations and defensive measures. Within this uniform, his hair is tightly rendered into his headgear, becoming less free than in the open air.
Personality Ever since his upbringing, Lukas has had a strong desire to protect and to serve, finding honour in the name of his family's historical tree. Before the day he encountered the outbreak, Lukas saw this as his driving motion to achieve as much as he could. Throughout his service in the Canadian Armed Forces he'd used his respect for humanity, ethical conflict and morality to drive his mind into directions only he thought he could take. Previous clashes with superior officers had been shown because of these ideals, but despite all the disagreements in how the world was perceived Lukas remained true to his intentions. It's because of this that he entrusts his mind, body and actions closely with his comrades, seeing camaraderie as the strongest asset to his and Canadian abilities. Through centuries of fighting, brother-and-sisterhoods forged in the field of battle have given the Canadian name quite a lot of notoriety, throughout great wars and other conflicts worldwide. With ties all over the world in terms of family, ancestry, and so forth, Lukas finds himself respectful of nearly all walks of life from different perspectives. This has caused hesitation in the field previously when serving as a peace-keeper in the Middle-East.
Because of his Quebecois upbringing, he is fluent in both French and English alike. With a mother who's family went all the way back to the industrial revolutionary times of France opposing the father's rich Canadian blood, he found himself having ties to most nations around. Because of this, Lukas sees himself quite happily as a man of culture, another thing sometimes mistaken for arrogance, and tries to act as a natural defuser for most situations. Being a man of such kindness on the outside and inside, it would seem awfully odd to see him in such an outbreak, one that was sure to break apart his morals and test whether or not he was a stable man to begin with.
Relationships
Nicole and Lukas have had a brief connection since he moved into FOB Lucius. The two hit off very well, both relating through their Canadian nationality and reminiscing stuff around their childhoods. The main difference, however, was being the French-Canadian he was, but it was a common sight for those living within Canadian borders. In full effect, so far Lukas actually admires her talents, as she briefly showed at the base's shooting range, as she had not received the same level of training as he did. The two talked about each-other's current service and she was sympathetic enough to understand the troubles he faced on his Middle-Eastern deployment. Luckily for him, she and him were likely to stay in contact after the end of his deployment, though fate had other plans for him, like most of the others.
Armed Service Canadian Army - 3rd Battalion, Royal 22e Régiment, 2nd Canadian Division
Biography As previously stated, Lukas was born into a family of both French and Canadian influences, as many Quebecois individuals were. His mother had ties that went all the way back to the embarking of the French Republic, whilst his father's side was known for its ties in the Canadian-Commonwealth dominion era. It was here that from a young age Lukas began to find interest in honour, military service and courage through the stories of his grandfather's fathers, and further down the family line. From Vimy Ridge to Juno Beach and Ortana, the names of his Canadian ancestry went very far back into some of the greatest military achievements Canada had to offer. Similarly, on his mother's side, ties went back to the revolution, Napoleonic wars, fields of Verdun, shores of Dunkirk and nearly was completely destroyed as a family name during the Marques fighting in Paris. For Lukas, this was a massive honour and worthwhile historical discovery for him. Every day he would research endlessly in libraries, council offices and memorials about his past, trying to find the links throughout his school-years to the point where he almost flunked his studies due to the huge aspirations for discovery. And so, that time came when he had to leave education, so he embarked on military service at the age of 20 after working a tiresome and boring job within a supermarket.
Training was somewhat difficult for Lukas. He hadn't really been the most physically gifted individual by all means. However, the programme he was entered within offered equipment that was viable to improving his physicality in unison with the developing skills of tactical engagements, teamwork, camaraderie, firearms handling and other proficient Canadian arts. There were several times where Lukas, which he hates to admit, was very close to dropping out of the military for his own personal benefit. However, whilst naive at the time, he was quick to turn his determination back on track and continue onward. These close calls with giving up have tarnished his relationship with other soldiers further down the line of his career, who sometimes look back on his aspirations to turn his back on success several times as a dangerous fault waiting to cause dismay and agony for his teammates. This, like his fellow comrades, is something far too intimidating for Lukas to consider and think about.
Service within the first few years was quiet and rather peaceful. Calls to arms against terrorist organisations took him overseas but during these first few years combat was something that was rarely experienced. Even in times where exchanges of fire and bullets occurred it was rare for any danger to occur due to skirmishes being over rather quickly. It didn't have anywhere near the glorious and honourable outcomes that his forefathers had worked towards during their previous wars, but all in due time was his experience to grow. Whilst stationed at FOB Frontenac, located in the Arghandab district of Afghanistan, ISAF and Canadian forces were laid under siege when a large insurgent force engaged them with amassed militias and technical armour. The battle lasted five long days, where ammunition and fire-support was limited for what their stockpile had to offer. By the third day, they'd run out of ammunition for their main guns and the Eastern defences were breached, where aerial supplies were required to support the engaged FOB. When the landing zone had been secured by insurgent forces, a brutal close-quarters engagement between the Canadian-ISAF coalition and the insurgent forces led to horrifying sights that still somewhat shake Lukas to this day. Scenes of blood, limbless friends and the need to evacuate the injured was all but frightening. However, in this fire and flame of battle, the Quebecois man managed to escort five injured men, three of which were officers posted under the British Army's command, off to safety, resulting in the attraction by his superiors.
Once the battle had ceased, technically being a ISAF-Canadian defeat, Lukas was promoted to Corporal, in which he became a non-commissioned officer that started his further pursuit of impressive military achievements. Another four years was spent out in the fields of Afghanistan, eventually leading to Operation: Picketed Wing, taking him and a small detachment of troops from the same regiment all to Saudi Arabia, where an insurgent leader was suspected to be hiding away. A two hour engagement in a local resource dump found even more death from the Canadian forces sent to infiltrate the area. At that time, Lukas' only remaining friend, Johnathon Rhine, from the British Colombian province, was shot and killed at point-blank range by insurgent shock-troops. This greatly impacted Lukas' performance throughout the battle's remainder, where he eventually was again praised for his efforts and promoted once more to Master Corporal. Being an Automatic Rifleman, he was called for having a brave intuition to hold his ground and expend bullets for the success and lives of his comrades. Accepting the promotion, he went further up into the chain of command, now more damaged mentally than before.
The remainders of his peacekeeping service was met with some scepticism from himself. He didn't feel comfortable walking the streets, knowing some man or woman could ambush him for a cause they deeply believed in. Hell, Lukas didn't even want to roam the streets because he felt like he was invading their homeland and occupying it, much like Fascists of the 1940s. Luckily for him, after being injured in an urbanised conflict in a Middle-Eastern mountain town, he was sent back to Canada with most of his regiment for recovery. By the time he had recovered from his injuries, the Royal 22e Régiment was relieved of duty and replaced by another light infantry group. From now on they were to be stationed in several FOBs, airbases and other militarised locations from Canada all the way into America for reasons still unknown. A few more years passed of silence when Lukas was sent to a newly founded FOB in New Mexico, titled Lucius, to which he thought was a random placement to occupy its fortifications until it found its own stationary regiment. However, it seemed rather makeshift for its type, seeming to have been put up a week before he arrived. The sky was grim and many troops were sent out with specialised groups he'd never seen before. All he was told was to remain within the premises and stand on sentry duties until further notice, making for a boring few days. Within that time, he finally met a few characters that he could finally relate to. A fellow Canadian woman, by the name of Nicole, an ERT member called for sentry duty outside of the FOB. She wasn't allowed to disclose any information to him, but he felt at home talking to her, forming a small but somewhat warming connection with her. He offered to keep in contact after their service was done, but he had no idea that the reality of what was beyond the FOB's walls would bring him.

@LetMeDoStuff Could I have Mr. Marine and Mr. Marine's girlfriend or just Mr. Marine?
Based on civilian cs they can't have weapons at the beginning?
Would a Police Officer be civilian cs? If so seems a little weird they wouldn't have weapons listed.
If you wish to make a side-character, then you can. Police Officers would have weapons available, but like I said you can add small details, like so, additionally to the requirements of the Character Sheets. If their job has weapons as a requirement, then make sure I get a good look at it before the start. You'd also have to consider whether or not the character has availability and reason to be near the frontline or trapped behind it etc.
Four months ago, a town in New Mexico known as Truth or Consequences went dark. Many weren't sure as to why such measures had been struck upon them but within hours the National Guard were reported to have fenced off the rest of the United States from ever reaching or hearing from such a place. Very few questions were asked at the time as more and more governmental figures silenced off what they had been questioning from the day 'it' began. Some attempted to break into the town to try and find what was wrong but reports of explosions, gunfire and sightings of combat aircraft launching from overhead scared the trespassers away with little effort. Conspiracy after conspiracy rose up after the first week, wondering what kind of situation was going on there. Some pondered if it were a terrorist plot, turning the town into a warzone, whilst others predicted that it was a live-fire testing ground for new military technologies. Both couldn't be further from the truth.
Under black ink, that fateful day showed the tainted world a new foe that could not be anticipated. After a local, blacked under many lines of ink and lost amongst shredded papers, spotted something falling from the sky. When investigating what he'd found, a Soviet-Era satellite was found crashed into a nearby barn. What happened from there remains completely unknown, but less than two hours later the town was under complete lock-down. Distress signals that quickly shot up to the highest chains of military command resulted in the town being segmented off from the rest of the world. Phone lines were cut, signal jammers were put in place and other meaningful methods to suppress all knowledge of the incident were underway. Thousands from the National Guard were stationed throughout the state, blockading roads and setting up fencing all over. It was almost as if the entire settlement was wiped from existence when in reality it was. Reconnaissance aircraft, including helicopter patrols staged by both the Guard and Air Force assets available on hand left their pads and circled to find a very different, alienated world that had been trapped by their own government. Only a few scouting parties were officially brought into the light at the first week's notice, trying to limit all the suspicion it could.
Below their rotors and spotlights stood a town that didn't even seem human anymore. Strange formations of rocky spikes, tipped with red glows and cracks of the same colour, stretched for the 33km of territory that had been formally called into Quarantine. Amongst them were humanoid lifeforms, roaming around in numbers in delusional fashions reminiscent of Romero's old works. Closer inspection was called by calling specialised ground teams to enter the area and investigate via communication and scientific scrutiny. Within thirty minutes, that team was never heard of again, with their last radio broadcast indicating that these 'monsters' were incoherent, violent monstrosities of the people that acted as puppets for their manifestation. Many speculate that it was from the Soviet-Satellite in which a virus, dubbed Chimera for the vicious product it had created, that forged and mutated these innocent lives beyond repair. Thousands began to fall to the infection. Not only were its original inhabitants brought to their knees but those sent in to observe and combat the threat were soon thrown into the clutches of this violent epidemic. By the first week, the numbers in which dictated who had lived and died were lost in the confusion, with the barricades locking the infection in becoming more and more unstable every day.
On Day 19, since Patient Zero infected the town, radio chatter reported that the Northern, Southern and Eastern barracks and defences were breaking apart. Those available and on-site were soon lost in the panic. Like a crack in a glass, the contained substances were starting to ooze out and leak into the rest of the world. More of the strange rock formations leapt across the state quickly. Splits between the National Guard and Special Operators led to mass confusion and ruined organisation. Bombing tactics became inefficient and somewhat dangerous, occasionally catching friendly military and civilian personnel in their wake. And still, the officials behind these operations were trying their hardest to suppress all knowledge of such a disaster coming about. It was inevitable for the world to soon know.
Before any announcements or evacuations could be made, Santa Fe was laid under heavy isolation. Creatures of the unknown, some mutated to the point of looking anything except humanoid, spread throughout, wiping out life and flooding all forms of resistances. The outbreak had grown quicker than anticipated. Full military strengths were beginning to amass into the state as a defensive perimeter was once again set up, this time on a larger scale, whilst preparing the full might of this force. And on the last day of that first month, Truth and Consequences became the birthplace of a virus that had started to spread throughout Central, South and North-America, with strains being reported in Europe, Indonesia and Asia alike. This was the beginning of the end of days, and those involved had theirs numbered.
Welcome to The Chimera Virus: Pandemic. This is a speculative scenario based off a limited time mode within Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege known simply as outbreak, in which a New Mexican town was infested with a strange and unexplained virus, resulting in military operations called to suppress and eliminate the threat through conventional means. Debates of nuclear options were set aside as high-valued targets were reported within the area of operations, hence why it had to be dealt with on a more personal level. This scenario, however, is not to be tied in heavily with the game itself and instead focuses on a lore of its own. Following the same origins and setting, this scenario looks towards what happened if the quarantine failed and the infection broke loose, spreading to other states, countries and continents with some ease.
Characters will be of either standard military positioning, all from the Northern American armed services, such as the US National Military, the Mexican Armed Forces and the Canadian Forces, or civilian backgrounds. Other nationalities are somewhat unlikely as the infection has been known to spread to other areas, thus borders are being closed, colonies are defended and homelands are being prioritised by its own people. Yes, it is slightly common for certain allies to send volunteers to the main area of infection, the American continents, but the nations previously opposing the US see them as receiving karma for covering up such a critical situation. Central and South-American nationalities are to be explored as well, but as far as military characters go they are restricted to only certain nationalities unless a valid reason is given.
The roleplay itself will take place after the fall of New Mexico, when Santa Fe was completely overrun, and the mass spread of Chimera carriers throughout the southern parts of the United States. With the breakout in disarray, a strange stalemate had occurred where the perimeters surrounding the state received no resistance whatsoever. Because of this, we have options for citizens and military operators to collaborate in rescuing one another when sent into the infected lands, or by the breaching causing soldiers to escort large groups of undefended innocents to safe areas further within the borders of the United States. The scenario will play out differently dependent on what the characters do. Whilst this isn't a sandbox RP, there will be many directions that the plot will go through, as well as the countless sub-plots based around character developments and so forth. Trust in the government, military and one another will be tested by the unrelenting strain of Chimera infected foes unleashing upon them. Cities will become cages to trap characters in whilst tensions between the citizens and soldiers alike will grow weaker, possibly breaking out into human-on-human conflict. All is dependent on how the Chimera strain effects the characters and their actions.
For the Chimera types, I highly recommend you go to the provided outbreak link above. Here it gives some rough information about the types of Roaches (known as the Chimera Infected in this scenario) that characters will encounter throughout their journey through hell. Characters are likely to set up temporary defences to hold off against incoming hordes throughout their trip, but where they travel to in America, the continent and even the world rests in their decisions, ideals, morality and choices made throughout the tale.
As to reduce confusion, here will be two separate character sheets for you to choose from. One is, as you could guess, tailored more towards the military characters that might appear in the story. If anyone wishes to make secondary characters or primarily take the role of a civilian caught in the crossfire/chaos that is the approaching apocalypse, then a second character sheet will be provided below. Both don't differentiate too much from one another, but I highly recommend that all the necessary information within the sheet is included, no matter what design you choose. Characters need to feel detailed and explained before their actions are put into place whenever the IC begins and continues. Follow the sheets as they are and feel free to add additional information if you wish.
*An image of some sorts may be helpful, if not, go for a description of the character's appearance later on in detail.*
Name Self-explanatory
Age Self-explanatory
Gender Ditto
Sexuality Once again, easier-said-than-done
Birth-date / Location Self-explanatory
Appearance Describe what the image chosen does not; if not image is given then make this detailed highly
Personality Self-Explanatory
Relationships This can be simple as each character eventually interacts with them, but this will be updated more in detail as the RP goes along.
Armed Services What branch of what military do they fall under? Include regiments and specifics if you wish to further build an idea on what type of personnel they are, whether they are a combatant or not. Some branches may not be accepted, such as special operations groups, though all must be requested at best.
Rank - Role Rank and role plays a huge part in the roleplay. Whether they are a Private Rifleman classification when the outbreak begins or a Lieutenant Colonel navigator in the air force will heavily impact their capabilities, roles, leadership ideals and potential morals throughout the story. Certain roles also dictate their equipment that they will begin with in the scenario.
Equipment Judging by their role and rank, what sort of weaponry, if they are a combatant, utilities and other gear will they have on them at the start of the story? There would need the be some logic to their equipment choice, after all.
Background The biography of your character. Keep fairly well made, making sure that enough is known about the character. Large details is advised. This can be updated as the RP develops on more.
Relevant Experience If they are trained freshly into their branch, then this would indicate what training they had undergone. More-so, any combat tours and operations participated within, whether they are fictional or real, will be noted down here in a list. This can show if they are somewhat prepared for the outbreak or not, though very few would be able to stand the horrors regardless of how veteraned they are.

Theme Song Just a bit of fun, really. Optional at most.

Profession What does this civilian do as a job? These can include certain skills that they might pick up and use throughout the fall of mankind?
Aspirations Whilst it doesn't overly affect them as a starting character, aspirations as to what they wanted out of the future can heavily dictate their personality, moralities and guide them through their choices. Some will remain impulsive and true to their beliefs whilst others will be able to use these as a forefront for the skills they wish to pick up.

Note-worthy Achievements What has life given them throughout their time as a civilian? What tragedies, positives and other major events has come across their time on this measly planet? Did they gain qualifications, or new places in their ideal workplace? Finally, how did they end up near or in New Mexico when the outbreak began?

The story will be ever-shifting and I hope to create a story filled with strange but unique characters alike. Whether romance blooms, hatred ensues or violence dictates their actions, what will the outbreak of Chimera do to civilisation? Will order stand within the army or will units go rogue to pursue personal goals? Do organisations start to conscript citizens to fight the ever-growing threat that lusts to infect all life around? And what do other countries do in this time of need? Despite America not choosing the nuclear options, what would happen if another major power decided to do it for them? All of these scenarios can be explored by character, player and GM choice. Let's see if these characters have what it takes to survive in hell, now upon earth.
