Section #1: Jig Being Right

It has come to my attention, that I am primarily right and drunk.

Jig is completely right.

Jig is right.

[11.01.50] Gowi:

Jig is right. Feel free to send that along.

[Jig is] 100% correct.

Jig was right 8 months ago, and is still right.

I love you, Jig. It's because you're Always Right™.

Once again, Jig is absolutely right about this.

Where is Jig when I need to vent about politics?
Drunk.

The mighty Jig is of course right.

Maybe crazy X-Files drugs that turn your pancreas into cheese but gives you the power of time itself.
No, that's normal. Accents are fluid and they change according to who you're with.

I live in an area with a particularly distinctive accent that I've mostly avoided. My best mate has a distinct tang of it and so does her mother, and when they're together their accent thickens to the point where I can barely understand them. Just like you imitate body language of the people around when you/in order to forge a connection with them, you do the same with linguistic cues, such as accent and vocabulary.
I've rarely found anything explicit. I can't think of many people that I've played with that have outright said 'beautiful' or 'handsome', but using more luxurious specific adjectives, a la your hair nightmares. They're such good writers that they show and don't tell.

Also, why is it that every man is well-dressed, immaculate, and very straight-laced in appearance? Could we not just have a few more slobs around?
I don't think anybody has mentioned this yet (to my surprise): wardrobe montages.

I really really am not interested in the specific colour, material, fit and brand of each individual item your perfume advertisement character clotheshorse deigned to put themselves into. A few superficial details can be nice flavouring, a plot point, or hint at characterisation, but that's pretty much it as far as appearances go in an RP for me.

Yes that would be fine, as long as they aren't major changes to the character as a whole. If that's the case you'll have to let me know. But tweaking is always fine, it's the little things.

Sound. I was suddenly very aware that I had made my character into a total non-physical type but I think he'd still be physically quite aggressive when he wanted to (bluff).
Raxacoricofallapatorius said For those of you whose characters I accept, once I give you the word I want you to post your CS here in the OOC, and I'll put a link to the post in the OP.

I'm an indecisive nightmare and tend to tweak my CS (in minor ways) right up until the RP starts. Would that be okay?
I always find it important to try to replicate an accent that my character might reasonably have. That's why my characters tend to be from the UK, where I know the slang, or are a European in an English-speaking country to justify the bits they get wrong ;)
Could you expand on this with regard to post length? It's a great article, but it highlights one of the biggest challenges of RPìng: contributing a noteworthy post long enough to feel worth reading without resorting to godmoding, unnecessary fluff, or the unreasonable demand of having every post run by every player as one big collaboration. Any further words of wisdom?
Nothing?
Accidentally posted this topic twice.

Could a friendly mod make it go bye-bye?

Cheers :)
