If anyone else is I'd be interested in setting up a Pokemon journey RP. This would be linear (not open world) with a generally light tone befitting the series with realism when necessary and while being set in an alternative universe outside of canon. Pokemon would be "sentient" in the way you might personify your pet, and what settles for a "Pokemon" can vary between a fire-breathing puppy and the accumulation of hundreds of vengeful souls. The emissaries between these creatures and humans are Pokemon Trainers, though in the modern day, some prefer to work an ordinary job instead. Talk about boring! Our characters are the exceptions, people of varying ages and backgrounds who want to bond with Pokemon and travel the region while doing so. Your character can have a goal outside of beating the gym challenge

Option A: Our characters would be one party traveling together through cities and routes. They could be a ramshackle bunch, but they would know one another, and they would share a common goal: to beat the gym challenge and maybe even work towards becoming Champion! Still, maybe there's more to this human-Pokemon bond than encouraging Pokemon to to fight each other...

Option B: Our characters would start at different points of the region, going on separate journies with inidivual goals. What connects them is one Pokedex Project started by an anonymous so-called "Pokemon Professor." The Pokedex Project is a wiki open to the general Training public intended to "democratize" the Pokedex; Trainers can update their own observations on the Pokemon they catch as well as communicate with each other, giving advice and swapping battle strategies. Still there are some that think the Pokedex is a closed project for a reason and there may be forces looking to interrupt our characters' travels as a consequence.

For region, I'm more attracted to a canon one with new Gym Leaders and other supporting NPCs. I could put together an original region though if there's interest in that instead.

If you're interested, which option would you prefer, A or B? And if you have a preference for which region to set it in, or any other questions, let me know below!
I'm still interested. It'll (probably) take me a couple of days to get a character going.
and yeah, like @Kuro said.
interest checks first, because an rp, if not labeled as 'jump in', may have already started and be knee deep or more into a story already, if the rp has a plot and isn't random.

Good point. I started posting in interest checks and the actual RP threads have gone up pretty quickly so I'll probably stick to doing that.

And thanks for the welcomes everyone :]
I'm also interested! I was almost part of a feudal Pokemon RP way back: it's a fun combination. I could adapt my disgraced lord idea for this new setting I think.
Interested! Totally new to Code Vein but I love monster-fighting.
Hello, I come in peace to join your RPs. I was into individual setting RPs, or RP sites on Proboards, JCink, etc., but I have a lot of high school nostalgia for this type of RP and cringe culture is dead anyway.

To get started, do ya'll recommend showing interest in iChecks or just jumping into any OOCs for RPs that are still accepting players?
