The livestock and animal section of the Ark smelled like shit. Literally. Walter Neumann had considered asking someone to get him a gas mask from the Vanguard's equipment storage, because these working conditions wouldn't be approved by any government agency before the world wars. Walter used to be a farmer, so he, along with a few others, had been assigned to taking care of the animals of the fleet. In an odd twist of fate, it turned out he'd been doing the same thing he was doing before they destroyed the world. Sadly for him, his job mostly required him to transport the animal biowaste to the Neptune during one of the rare fleet refuel days, where it would be turned into the biofuel that all of the Crusade ships so desperately needed. He petted a small Labrador pup before turning to and looking out the nearby window, where he saw the Neptune already getting closer. He didn't really like his impending task, but it was a necessity for the rest of the fleet. He walked towards the elevator, mentally preparing for his task, when the speakers on all of the ships crackled.
Everyone on the ships stopped working for a moment as old TSUK propaganda music could be heard moments before the Khan, the leader of both the Naukan Crusade and the Trans-Steppe United Khanate started speaking. "Greetings citizens of the TSUK and colonists of the UNE. You have managed to surpass my expectations once again. Not only have you persevered the harsh steppes and wastelands of our home, but you have also worked tirelessly to build these ships. Then you agreed to live here for a long time until we can start making the colony, all for the future of humanity. I am proud to announce to you that your tireless labor has bore fruit. At the moment, the gate is just beyond the horizon. I recommend you all take a break from working until we've passed through so you can celebrate." Walter was delighted. No more shit-shoveling today!
He quickly went to the nearest dining hall, where he saw everyone was celebrating. The ships had been refueled, and were slowly making their way towards the gate. The three helicopters were flying next to eachother as fireworks were launched from all of the ships.
The people in the bridge, including the Khan, his advisors and commanders, as well as the Pioneer's captain were all celebrating this victory as the fleet slowly moved to join all of the other ships near the gate

Jord is seven foot tall, and has a muscular build. He has short, gray hair and grey eyes. He also has several scars all over his body from previous battles, most notably one going from his left eye all the way to his upper lip. In battle he wears a suit of dark blue power armour called the Praetorian armour, to which his shield is permanently attached. He also wears his sword and firearm on his back when wearing the armour. Outside of battle he always wears simple T-shirts and pants, but keeps his power armour nearby in case of combat. Affiliation (if any): None Powers (if any): -Jord has a very high resistance to extreme pain, cold and heat as a result of extensive genetic modification and combat training. This culminates into a resistance to all kinds of damage, as he is not as likely to go into shock due to pain, even when nearly lethally wounded. The thick and strong power armour he wears during combat further enhances his ability to resist damage. -As a result of his biology and power armour, Jord is a lot stronger, faster and has more stamina than a normal human would have, and uses this to great effect during combat.
Weapons and armour: -Phalanx: A large two-handed sword made out of an alloy of very strong steel. Jord is able to wield it easily with one hand due to his strength and size -Bulwark: A force-field-like shield attached to his left arm. Its size and shape can change depending on whatever it is needed to do, and is controlled directly by thinking. -B-Field Gun: The B-Field Gun (Also known as the BFG) is an assault weapon that uses a powerful magnetic field to shoot large calibre self-propelled kinetic rounds (essentially miniature rockets) designed to maximize damage by penetrating the targest first before exploding using fuses. It is a lot larger than a normal SMG or assault rifle, but can be held in one hand by Jord due to his strength and power armour. It is very hard to use without a proper power source, because the energy requirement to use it is quite large, as it is essentially a railgun. -Praetorian armour: Ancient power armour made several hundred years ago. Powered by a small fusion generator, the power armour is made out of thick armour plates encased in a ceramic-like material. Servomotors and fibre bundles make the whole thing move, although most energy from the power source is used to power the armour's movement, some is reserved for the rebreather systems inside the helmet, combat systems that allow Jord to better target enemies and assess threats. The rest of the energy is used to power the Bulwark and BFG. It also connects to Jord's nervous system directly using an implant in Jord's back that interfaces with the armour and allows him to move a lot more natural wearing it, as well as control the Bulwark's shield just by thinking. Weaknesses: Although both stronger and more resilient than an ordinary human, Jord can still die from dehydration, disease, lethal injuries etc, just like a normal human. The power armour he is wearing has a ton of electrical circuits and wiring through it, and although it is heavily shielded can still be disabled with a very strong EMP blast. Both the BFG and the Bulwark need a lot of power to work and won't work properly when that power source (the fusion reactor in the Praetorian armour) is gone. Current Residence: Somewhere in Europe (WIP) Backstory: Somewhere deep in space, there was a planet named Taithea. It was a cold and frozen world, but nonetheless life started there. The sentient beings that eventually developed thrived on this world, and they made a small interstellar empire consisting of a few nearby star systems. Their science and technology became very advanced, and they became masters of genetic engineering. Then came the Kree empire. The Taitheans, feeling the pressure from this galactic superpower, needed soldiers. Sadly, however, the Taitheans themselves were weak, and could not fight very well. Luckily one of the Taithean spies heard about what the Kree had done on Earth, and soon a few humans were abducted. Their genetic material was collected, modified and transformed and formed the basis for what became genetically modified super soldiers, stronger, faster and most importantly tougher than the average human. The Taitheans made strong suits of power armour for them, and implanted the humans with implants in their backs to control this armour. While in their gestation pods they were trained in various combat techniques using neurotrainers, small devices using nanobots to give knowledge to the humans. Unfortunately, Taithea was too late, and soon they were taken over by the Kree. Before that happened though, the project was quickly destroyed, the soldiers were implanted with false memories and they were sent to Earth in spaceships. Jord was one of these soldiers, and after arriving on Earth he lived his life normally, believing he got his weapons and armour from some obscure government agency, rather than anything particular. He is now a mercenary that travels the world looking for work

Also, I was having a friend of mine go over the OOC form (that I have finished and will be posting soon after I edit some minor things) and she suggested that we don't have our OC's romance certain MCU characters like Bucky and Loki since that has been done a lot and can get quite "cliche". I agree with her on that but I want to see what you all think of it. Would everyone be all right with certain MCU characters being off-limits?

How you survived: The Naukan Crusade did not survive the Third and Fourth World war because it didn't exist during this period , but is the name given to a UNE-sponsored last-ditch colonization effort where the Trans-Steppe United Khanate, a nation that formed up after the Third World War, tries to colonize and conquer the new continent in the name of saving the human species from its self-imposed destruction.
Ships: Pioneer: The Pioneer is the flagship of the Naukam Crusade fleet. It has been constructed in the massive shipyards in the former nation of South Korea, in what is now the most eastern part of the TSUK. the ship has engines that can run on a mix of biofuels which can be produced locally by the fleet and regular petroleum fuel. It has been designed to serve as a cornerstone for the future colony on the new continent, and its modules reflect its intended use. A large part of the ship is a factory/workshop capable of producing all kinds of tools, weaponry, equipment and many more things needed to start a succesfull colony on what could be seen as another world. It also has a resource refinery section, with a blast furnace, bloomery and several other machines and things used to refine raw materials into useful products that can be turned into different products inside the factory. Beyond the factory and refinery, the Pioneer has a laboratory, a prefabricated nuclear reactor filled up with enriched uranium as well as the machines and materials needed to make a small nuclear power plant, ready for when it needs to power a growing colony, it also has a scientific database with all scientific knowledge gathered by humanity throughout the ages, as well several templates for many different things from generators to housing and vehicles, stored safely inside a database.
Ark: The Ark is an old, modified Triple-E class container ship, and possibly the most important ship in the Naukam Crusade fleet. About half of the original space meant for containers on the Ark has been replaced with living spaces for colonists who are supposed to live on the newly discovered continent. Because the original ship is so big, a massive amount of people can be transported Another half of the cargo area has been instead replaced with a livestock carrier, housing many kinds of important and useful animals that can't really be allowed to go extinct on Earth. Lastly, the ship also contains a seed bank, containing many different kinds of seeds stored at good conditions, so the colonists can easily farm on the new continent without searching for any new crop. Just like the other two ships, its engines can run on biofuel
Neptune: The Neptune is a heavily modified factory ship (ship used to process fish). Beyond the automated fishing processing, as well as the fishing trawls it can use to supply the rest of the Naukam Fleet with food, the Neptune has been significantly modified and enlarged to allow for the implementation of a biorefinery capable of using the fish waste, human solid waste, and animal excrement from the Ark's livestock to produce the valuable biofuel that allows the Naukam fleet to be so long on sea without refueling. The Neptune itself also has the engines capable of running on biofuel the other ships have, and most of the fleet's food is stored there. Because a lot of processes on the ship are automatic, it is the least crewed ship in the Naukam Crusade.
Vanguard: The Vanguard is an amphibious assault ship. Most of its flight deck has been removed, and instead an anti-air cannon, as well as surface-to-surface missiles have been installed. Yet enough flight deck is on top of the ship to allow for an ASW helicopter, a transport helicopter as well as a recon helicopter used for scouting out new lands. The ship itself also has several landing craft which allow people and vehicles to go to land. Most of the fleet's soldiers are on the vessel, and nearly all military equipment and weapons are stored there.
Technology: Because of the Pioneer's factory module, the Naukan Crusade is capable of producing many types of weapons, machines, equipment and vehicles on their own. Their scientific database ensures that the colonists can build all the equipment and housing they need to survive themselves, rather than relying on some outer source of knowledge. The crusade can refine nearly any raw materials they find into useful products and building materials, and the scientists in their labratories are ready to find out more new technologies to ensure a better future for the rest of humanity. The seed bank means the colonists can easily start growing their own food, and the biorefinery can make fuel to sustain the Crusade's exploration efforts.
Military might: Because the Naukam Crusade is supposed to be a peaceful colonization mission rather than a military campaign, the Naukam Crusade has a mere 275 soldiers. The only vehicles in the Crusade are stored on the Vanguard and they are all reconnaisance vehicles. It also has the Vanguard itself, which is the only military ship and escort in the fleet.
History (transcript of a Crusade Propaganda Video): Under the ambitious leadership of our glorious Khan, Temir Zima, we have become a great nation among many ruined ones. We as a people have risen up and united after the massacre that was the third world war, and continued prospering after the fourth. Now it is time to follow our destiny, and colonize the newly found continent for future of humanity. With the help of the UNE, we will pool our resources, work together and build great ships, and send them through the gate. We will discover new technologies, and new species that will redefine our understanding of life. Together, we will save the human race, and build towards a better tomorrow.

Background: Udo was one of the many soldiers fighting in the fourth world war. He lived in the Trans-Steppe United Khanate, a newly formed nation encompassing most of the Eurasian Steppe, made up of many smaller nations that either weren't seen as important targets or were completely destroyed. After the war ended because of the formation of the UNE, he did not have anything to do, and became homeless and unemployed. However, as the TSUK prepared to start an initiative to cross into another world after the opening of the gate, he was asked to join the Naukan Crusade by one of his former superiors. He is now part of one of the away teams responsible for doing reconnaisance on an area to see if it is worth colonizing or not.
Also note that 'how you survived' is really only for the human nations that come from earth actually affected by WWIII and WWIV, not for the fantasy nations on the new continent
