Name: Blaze Raffica

Appearance: Blaze stands precisely 5'8", with dark, flaming red hair and clover green eyes; his complexion is somewhat tanned. His regular outfit consists of black steel toe shoes, old jeans, a white t-shirt with the DWMA logo, and a military grade camouflage jacket in red, black, gray, and white. His soul wavelength is red in color.

Personality: Blaze can be quite hotheaded and quick to fight, but is remarkably intelligent. Despite this he dislikes sports with a passion. What he does like though is books, manga, video games, and weapons. Normal weapons, not Weapon weapons. Anywho, he is most fascinated with post-WWII firearms. Despite being well-liked he prefers not to be with a lot of people.
History: Blaze was an orphan whose parents were a Meister-Weapon pair. After some deliberation betwixt the powers that be he was placed in foster care. Growing up he was a friend of Black★Star, and even nowadays it's not uncommon to see the two fighting. At thirteen he was paired with a Meister named Izumi, and the two became somewhat well-known for their fighting prowess. As time went on Blaze began to fall for his Meister, and he confessed to Izumi during a mission to Paris... but Izumi didn't respond in kind. Embarrassed and hurt Blaze disappeared into Paris. When he returned to talk to his Meister Blaze found that the wayward soul they'd come to collect had killed Izumi. It was then that he attempted to kill himself. However he was stopped by Sid, and was admitted to the Death City Psychiatric Hospital for treatment. He has only recently been released.
Soul Resonance Technique: Pending
Flaws: Blaze suffers from PTSD, and certain scenarios can put him into a flashback, where he may attempt to harm or kill others; hotheaded; his near-fatal flaw is that he will use his body to protect others, regardless of how badly he is injured.

Yes, I am from Minnesota as well. I may be a bit biased, but you usually see the apocalypse only in New York, California, and maybe a few other states. I wanted to do something a bit different.

In my mind, Kano is in the Southwestern region, close to the SD border more or less. This area is mostly farmland, but after three years, I'm sure that next to no one is growing crops or raising hogs and cattle anymore. While this area of the state doesn't have predators bigger than coyotes, nomads wander the countryside, ranging from hunter-gatherers to warrior tribes that attack and steal what they need or want.
