Pfft. I only ever got a chance to pull major shenanigans in one game, Turt's Death Note Doubt, and that one died before the plans were ever even tested. My other activities in RD included a major stupid mistake (revealed my killer role to my brother in the mistaken expectation that he'd work with me, lolnope) and then dying early in every game thereafter before I could do anything. For instance, in Dark Tower Doubt I was killed in the first round (I think, maybe second), then revived later, then killed immediately thereafter. I'm fucking amazing at gambits from a GM perspective, because I can write all sorts of shenanigans-laden character roles and story things, but as a player? I haven't yet been allowed to live long enough to attempt anything worthy of being called a gambit. I think I've cast less lynch votes than the total number of games I've played in. That's how often I get killed early.

Reputation is a bitch.
Nargle just voted for Shy...

WTF is going on. If anything he's probably one of the few on everyone's good lists.

But in lynching Nex, we could be lynching something more than a vanilla townie, like a detective. That would really hurt us.Which puts us in the awkward position of having to choose a life over another. Do we kill the businessman, because a potential detective role is more valuable to us? Or do we risk the possible detective to save the businessman and possibly hit the killer? To be honest, I'm not married to Nex or a businessman. I can go either way.

Risk is what this is all about. It's in the name. I say we take it as to be honest all these choices are assisting the Wolf so I'd rather take the chance to win right now.
Here and ready to party.

For me, it's between killing Nex (who could be the killer, or could be a partner to the cop role) or killing a businessmen (which could tell us if there's Masons in this game and, if so, would ensure that we don't target the other two). The businessmen sound better from an information standpoint at the moment, but killing them likely won't be knocking out our snake or our wolf. I guess it depends on how we want to play this game. Do we want to attempt to only shoot for our killers (as it is in an ideal Doubt) or do we want to make sacrifices to better reveal the landscape?

I think of it like this, anytime we lynch a good guy, the Wolf gets one step closer to killing us all. If we have a chance of murdering the Wolf this early in the game then we should take it. Stalling only plays into the Wolf's hands.

Regardless of role we obviously have to kill Jorick in one of the opening rounds. It's tradition now.

Shhh, no, kill Drakel first round. Let him take up the banner of master of first round deaths, let my legacy fade into shadows.

You're like king of gambits. No one in their right mind will let you live.

I'm in... xDHating my role too... But w/e....can't wait for first post... Reading them and looking for clues is half the fun of this after all. xD

I'd love it if you died first again.

I have already solved the mystery, all thanks to one clue.

No, we owe it to Shy. You added a metaphor.

I think it's interesting Nex hasn't tried to defend himself yet.

Clearly Nex is in for a rude awakening.

This would be funnier if I wasn't ninjaed.

Possible. Maybe Foxxie is actually a killer and she's leading us all to our doom. The first time off the bus was to make sure that the trap was set. [/tinfoilhat]

Shhh don't ruin Shoxxie, it would break Shy's heart.

Besides Squee is totally the killer. It's so obvious.
