That feel when you apply for jobs and realize you changed your phone number from what's on your resume

My current mood: What do you mean I speak French fluently? Verb tenses? I don't need to say the right actual words do I?

I just gave blood and now subjected myself to walking up two flights of stairs. That was fun

Bryn Hlison

When Bryn woke up, she couldn't breath. The nightmares were overpowering, her brain went into a state of what is called sleeping paralysis. She took deep breaths, before all at once, she could move again. She threw back her blankets, trying to cool down. Her kitten, Mickey, was laying in between her feet at the bottom her bed and blinked sleepily.

“Go back to bed, katten.” Bryn said, sliding out of bed. She looked to her left, outside the massive floor to ceiling windows that occupied the left side of her apartment. Below she could see the city. Like any city, it never sleeps, but there were also signs of it waking up too. Bryn lingered for a moment more before she went into her closet to grab clothes for the day. She knew it was the first day of school and all, but really she couldn't care less. She simply grabbed the first white shirt that was clean and some black pants, shoving them on before going downstairs and grabbing some cereal. Lucky Charms were addicting, in the good way, so she had them almost every morning. She scrolled through the news feed, making sure the world didn't end while she was sleeping, before she figured she couldn't delay it any longer.

Bryn leaned against the wall of the elevator as she rode down to the garage and her car. She hated the thing, it was a gift from her parents when she got out of rehab. She was also required to drive it, rather than take public transportation which is ridiculous. If she could take a taxi in Israel, then why can't she take a taxi or the bus in America? Either way, she got in the car, shoving her bag in the passenger seat and started off for school.

When she arrived, she wasn't surprised how many more cars there were. She was told several days ago that this initiative was going to take place, so to her this wasn't a complete surprise. Still, she was surprised at the shear number of people. It looked like they almost matched the number of students there were already enrolled. The thought made her smile, some of the people here could be so stuck up, it was ridiculous. This would be good for them, making them interact with other human beings who weren't the same as them.

When she finally found a parking spot and got to the building, the speech was nearly over, so she stood outside of the doors, waiting for one of her friends to come out. She didn't see anyone, even when it was nearly empty so she headed in to see if the could spot the twins, or CeCe. Looking around, she found Julio talking to a kid who looked fresh out of high school. She wandered over, and flopped herself next to the kid.

“Or maybe it was the fact that the room actually managed to segregate itself according to wealth. I've seen a lot in my short, short, lifetime but that was something, I'm telling you. I'm Bryn, by the way. Nice to meet you.” Bryn smiled at the kid.

Name: Valentina Naryshkina
Nicknames/Aliases: Val'a
X-Men Code Name: Static
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Physical Description: She stands about 5'10, with blond hair and green eyes. She weighs about 150 pounds but is quite fit and curvy where she feels she needs to be. She is commonly wearing black jeans and a green army jacket, a white shirt and black combat boots. Sometimes she's seen with black rubber gloves too.
Mutations: Transportation through Electric Currents
Personality: Valentina can be kind of standoffish when you first meet her, but after after she gets comfortable with you she's witty and likes to talk.
Background: Valentina was born the younger sister of Russian Politician. Her family was very much a 'secret' supporter of bringing the tsars back, mostly because their family was extremely intermixed with the Romanov family, and therefore the most likely to become the next Tsars if they were successful. However her brother drafted the most anti mutant legislation compared to everyone in both houses of the Russian Legislation. She wasn't nearly as conservative as her family, and labeled as something of a black sheep in her family.
Recap of your mutations awakening: Russia doesn't even allow some humans to live, mutants are to be killed on sight. So when Val'a was transported from Moscow to St. Petersburg in less than a minute after brushing against the tv, she was terrified. Every electrical outlet she touched, she was transported somewhere else. Finally, she figured out how to control her jumps a little bit, and made her way through Ukraine, to Poland, Germany, France, across the Channel to London and through the transatlantic telecommunication lines to Newfoundland and down to Xavier's school for the Gifted. They then directed her to Ashford's Institute for the Gifted and she's been there ever since.

"I'm afraid you can't. Walking through the Fae realm does things to a mortal. Things that wouldn't be able to be explained by your science. So I'm afraid you cannot go back." Meliae said, trying to figure out how to explain this to him without freaking out anymore.
"At this point, I either had to take you into my court or you would have died. We are many days from mortal civilization, even with the help of the portals. Food offered from a Fae...it's a contract. In the Fae realm contracts are binding by magic. You cannot leave, so it prevents you from leaving." Meliae tried to explain but she knew she wasn't doing a very good job.
@Kaalee Oh no, I didn't make you write yourself into a corner did I?

No, not at all...I'm just trying to do too many things at once lol
What do I do when I'm stuck with writers block?

"Now you've done it. You couldn't of sprung it on him gently?" Katya muttered, and Meliae gave her a sharp look.
"Mind yourself Katya." Meliae reminded her before moving over to the boy, sitting down close to him, but not crowding him.
"Calm down." She said quietly.
"A week ago, you came to Russia, not through any conventional means. You came through one of the portals of my people, the Fae. That alone is something most Fae would kill you for. I do not wish to kill you. Nor enslave you but you can't go back to your human life unfortunately. I can offer you sanctuary here, though." Meliae explained slowly, trying not to scare him away.
