That feel when you apply for jobs and realize you changed your phone number from what's on your resume

My current mood: What do you mean I speak French fluently? Verb tenses? I don't need to say the right actual words do I?

"It has it's uses." Valentina shrugged. So far her powers just seemed more of a nuisance than anything else. Not useful for fighting, only for getting sucked into outlets. His mutation however, would be very useful and it was quite impressive. It captivated her, to see another's powers. It was still setting in for her that she was in a school full of people who weren't quite human, but this just gave her a head rush. She snapped out of it when the flame went away, blinking as she came back to reality. She cleared her throat before coming up with an answer that didn't make it seem like she was spacing out.

"I'd have more use with it in Russia. It gets very cold, especially in the winter. Here though, I don't think quite as much." Valentina mused, looking out the window. She was much further south than Moscow or even St. Petersburg.
"It's unique in it's own right. Are you hot to the touch then? Since it's source is from within you?" Valentina questioned, with a raised eyebrow. It be a shame, if he was. Lack of human contact can cause a sad life, she's seen it plenty.

You don't want to be typically Hollywood. Hollywood is a slum, Hollywood is a bad place to be unless you're in the studios. No what you want to be is typical LA or typical Beverly Hills. That's what you want to be.
Valentina looked at the boy who decided to strike up conversation with her. She didn't understand about Florence being something called ADD, English wasn't her strongest language, but she understood his name and when he asked her about her rubber bands.
"I'm Valentina, and no, the opposite actually. I can convert myself into electricity, but I don't quite have an understanding of how not to convert myself into electricity. The rubber keeps me together, and not in an outlet." Valentina explained, as she shook his hand.

"And you? What abilities do you hold?" Valentina asked, seeing no visible clues at the moment.
"Or would to correct term be have? I apologize for my English, I learned it growing up of course, but until now, I've never had much reason to use it." Valentina hoped that this would improve the longer she stayed in America, although she didn't exactly want an American accent, and English took too many words to explain basic concepts but such is life.

@Mivuli So I came to read your message, not have a feels attack looking at your signature.
Meliae glanced up at the giant rock in front of her, as a few of her warriors came closer. She held up a hand, halting their movements.
"Do mortals interest you so Hermit? There are billions outside of my forests, I'm sure they'd love to meet you." Meliae said, her words cruel but when one doesn't pick a side, it tends to earn them enemies instead of friends.
"You may call him Max, if you feel it necessary to speak long enough to call him anything." Meliae stated, answering for the boy before he got himself in trouble.
@Wintergrey Awesome!
I finally posted! It only took me forever.
Valentina was exploring her new environment. She traveled throughout the school, exploring outlets and tv's and other electronics. She had already put the rubber things you use to baby proof on the outlets in her room so that she could sleep without ending up in the other end of the school. She came out of a light, just outside her room giving a fright to whomever may be near her. She looked like a bolt of lightning outlining a person before she fully formed. She was just lucky her clothes came with her. She shook herself out, before going into her room. She put on her shoes(they have rubber soles so they keep her grounded) and a couple rubber bands around each wrist. They didn't do much but they were something at least.

She went to what was essentially a common room, with students milling in and out. She sat herself in a corner, not really wanting to interact but wanting to observe the other mutants. She's never met another mutants, and other than hearing about how wrong and evil they are, they weren't spoken about around her. Valentina watched as people interact, some interactions more awkward than others. She winced as she watched her roommate move around the room. The girl didn't understand what personal space was apparently. That was going to be a problem. She felt her phone vibrate and she checked it. It was miraculously a text from her brother. He was asking where she was. She disappeared from Russia a little over a week ago and he's just now asking where she is. After she turned 15, and their parents died, her brother could care less. He made sure she was alive on occasion but that was it. She actually laughed once out loud after reading it.

School, where else would I be? You do realize that I go to school in America right? You're the one who told me to pick a school and go there. She texted him back, before putting her phone back in her pocket. She'd deal with him later as he realizes she isn't even in Russia.
