Ivan looked up at the crimelord as she attempted to insult him and the biker girl who had walked in seemingly out of nowhere. It seemed as if Rebecca was claiming that he dropped in on the conversation intentionally, which was not the case. Ivan decided to correct the clearly ignorant crime don. The Ukranian spoke in a thick accent.

"You seem to be mistaken about my intentions here, Miss Valentine. I simply entered this library to read some literature and touch up on my English. I did not wish to intrude on your petty mafia dealings. And getting your... Drunken hitwoman to try and intimidate me into leaving was rather unnecessary. If you had asked politely, I would have gladly taken my literature to a different corner of the library. Good day."

Ivan took his books up in his hands and walked over to the other side of the reading area. Those dons and their superiority. Always believing they could control whoever they wanted. Ivan wondered if he should have that irritating Irish hitwoman killed. She was rather irksome. He opened the first page of The Godfather by Mario Puzo. A rather fitting novel for the situation at hand.

The sleek silver car twisted its way through the streets of the city. An Audi R8. A fine, beautiful, elegant German model. You'd have to be pretty wealthy to proudly drive around in an R8. And the man at the helm certainly was. Ivan Aleksandrovich Kulya. Arms dealer. Ukranian national. Top of the line weapons provider. If you want it, he could get it. It just so happened that Ivan was driving past the ornate library. It reminded him of the Kiev cityscape, with its old, beautiful buildings. Ivan had no deals to set up at that moment, so he thought it would be nice to ponder over some literature. Despite residing in the US for over fifteen years, he had not fully grasped English as a language. Reading books helped him get a better grip on the language.

Ivan parked his car up behind the library and entered. He was not necessarily a largely sized man, but he created a sense of impact and massiveness. The young female librarian squirmed in her seat and the library cop watched him with a suspicious eye as he asked where the classical novels were kept. He grabbed an intriguing title off the shelf and sat down at a nearby table in the quieter section of the library. It was then he heard quite a distinctive voice. It wasn't that Ivan recognised it, it just sounded.... Odd.

The voice sounded rather brutish and immature. Then he heard a voice that was actually familiar to him. It was the voice of Rebecca Valentine, the Don of the valentine crime family. Ivan had done dealings with her in the past. Nothing major, just a couple of firearms. They were clearly discussing some sort of "business". Those crime families and their dealings, Ivan thought, then went back to his book.

The silence was deafening in the night. But at once, something cut through it.

Crunch

It was a potato chip packet. Chris took them out carefully and crunched down as he watched down below. As far as he knew, everyone was in their set position. Chris liked to hover above the ground on long, boring nights. But tonight was definitely not a long, boring night. This was going to be his first crimefight in ages. He heard a voice over his phone and spoke, rather muffled, into it. "Yeah, I'm ready here in position. See anything on the ground?". Chris could see a little way away, also in the air, the demon girl was floating, doing some weird magic stuff with her hands.

Chris floated over to get a better look. A black sphere and some golden thing were floating around her. Chris didn't really get the whole magic thing. It wasn't as if he hadn't been exposed to it at all, it was just a really foreign concept for a country boy from upstate New York. Then again, it was probably a really foreign concept for well, everyone. Everyone who wasn't a demon at least. He cleared his throat and then said to the demon girl, in a curious manner - "Hey, that's really cool. What will that do to the people on the ground, exactly?"
Anyone got suggestions on how I could involve my character with the others?
Just wondering how I could involve my character with the others.... Hmmm

Ivan, despite his profession, isn't necessarily a cruel or sadistic man. He is more of an extreme businessman. He protects his brand and operation to the fullest, not thinking twice about exterminating anyone who poses a threat to it. There are most certainly a few bodies in the river that can be attributed to Ivan's operation. In contrast, he is very hospitable and friendly to those who are helpful to his business, or in other words, those who create a profit for it. Indeed, profit is Ivan's main incentive. He doesn't care about power or territory, just the money.

Ivan can come off as quite an arrogant person. He feels he is above all the dons and the crime families. And indeed, he does his best not to get involved in their affairs. He simply sells his weapons to those who can provide the highest price. He has at many points sold arms to two families at the same time who were in a feud with each other. As long as he has millions in his bank, he would gladly let all the crime families wipe each other out.

Ivan was born into the arms trade. His father was one of the most prominent arms dealers in Kiev, Ukraine. Ivan grew up in unimaginable luxury. A large mansion with a pool and all he could ever want. However, as Ivan grew up, he began to resent his father. Ivan believed that his father was running the arms business into the ground. He had noticed subtle changes in his lifestyle that he simply could not accept. However, at the age of 16, he could not do a lot to try and rectify the worsening situation. Ivan would simply have to wait for his opportunity.

Over the years, Ivan went behind his father's back to try and gain an education on how to run an arms business. He talked to rival dealers and managed to gain a good idea on how to improve his father's business. There was only one problem. His father would not listen. So, after years of sitting idly by watching the business slowly get less and less successful, 21 year old Ivan decided to act. He gathered up a team of hit-men and soldiers and planned an attack to otherthrow his father and take control of the business. Needless to say, the attack failed. Ivan's father countered with a much more efficient team and wiped out the attack. Ivan and several of his team fled the country.

Ivan found himself in the USA, where he set about attempting to infiltrate and overtake an arms dealing business. He located the perfect target on the East coast. Him and his team stormed the offices and assumed control. It wasn't the largest dealership, but with his knowledge gained from the Ukranian market, Ivan attempted to make it large. Over the course of many years, he hijacked shipments, disposed of opposing dealers and absorbed other businesses into his own. And so, 17 years after the coup that took over the American business, Ivan's arms business was one of the largest on the East Coast, selling weapons to the crime families, corrupt policemen and regular people alike. However, there was still one problem. His original team was asking for, in Ivan's opinion, too much of the money. Ivan had them killed. He was finally the wealthy king of his own operation.

-Ivan speaks English very well, but with quite a thick Ukrainian accent
-Ivan resides in a luxurious penthouse
-Unlike other crime lords, you probably would not recognise him in the street if you saw him. Ivan has decided not to put himself as the face of the organisation.

As Chris could see that other people were beginning to trickle out of the room, he decided the time was right for him to make his way home as well. After saying look at the masked woman one more time, he glided out of the open door before landing on the floor. The bar now had nobody left in it, so he told the other workers that they could leave. He walked out before closing and locking the door behind him. Chris made his way back to his apartment. It was a decently nice place. Although it did need a bit of a clean, Chris noted. It had been a long night, and Chris placed his phone next to his bed before he slept to remind himself to take it when they all met up tomorrow.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day, Chris was flying over the city to get to The Archer. The cool air in his face felt amazing whenever he was flying high. He had decided to put on his yellow and black hoodie, as he always did when he was fighting crime. He looked down and saw the roof of the archer below, and started to descend. He landed on the roof and jumped down outside the door and strolled in, past the bar and down the corridor to the back room. He decided to have a little fun, and floated so he was on the ceiling, and then crawled over the top of the door frame, and onto the ceiling of the back room. He called out a hello to everyone down below. He seemed to have been the last one to arrive.

He spotted Luna talking to Rose, and the Atlantean guy wearing what seemed to be a suit of armour. Chris sighed to himself. Could this guy get any more cocky? He floated down onto the ground and said to Joshua - "Nice costume bud." as he attempted to hold in the urge he had to laugh.
