I've got this obsession of having all the statuses on my profile page with more than 2 likes. I know that when the wailing winds of darkness come for me, these thumbs up will keep them away!

Hey, I'm Kaithas. I'm still alive.

OOC: Completing the attack for kicks and because evidently I'm supposed to.

IC: Sprint's about to drop out-

Using the last bit of his dwindling speed boost and combining it with Parry, Aaron slid under a chain, using his forward momentum and slightly heightened reaction time to launch himself into a jump immediately after, Fury's point right on target-

Haunt buried his spear a deep in a chink in the monster's armor, his feet scrabbling for a hold on the creatures hide, trying to get a spot to push off before the heat got through his armor or the boss could counterattack. He managed to pull his weapon out and kick off before the second could occur, but he burned his hands and feet in the process, his health dropping slightly.

Now all he had to do was get away. Temptation's Push was still cooling down, he was breathing heavily, his trained but weaker Sprint was exhausted... And his feet were burnt.

Hooray.

OOC: Sprint exhausted to compensate for the fact that it wasn't one of his four main abilities. Any help would be awful nice XD
IC: Getting close is going to be hard. Still.

The fire caught him a little by surprise, but not as much as the chain flying after it, nearly hitting him- And something clicked in his mind, his Parry activating to swing Fury's tip to face the chain. "TEMPTATION'S PUSH!"

The spear glowed bright blue, a hellish scream bursting from the point and blasting the chain just enough off course to prevent it from hitting Aaron. He instantly felt drained, the very recently learned skill kicking into its cooldown. Maybe... There was an idea. Aaron activated his sprint, dashing toward the boss and using his parry to hop around and dodge chains, aiming Fury for a weak spot in the armor-

OOC: If the attack hits or not/severity is up to the Co-GM/GM. Temptation's Push approved by GM.
sorry bout being gone for so long, AP English is the beast the ancients told us about.
IC: A goblin growled, drawing his sword, the rest of his small group destroyed.

Haunt smirked, spinning his spear in one hand and planting the non-spiked end in the ground. The goblin rushed him, yelling and swinging his blade. Aaron ducked, aiming Fury at the creature's stomach-

And missed, the sword nicking his ear as he rolled out of the way quickly, Aaron's lips opening in a cry of pain as blood started to trickle down the side of his face.

Notes to self: Don't underestimate enemies. Sleep more. All the training in the world is no good if you're too tired to use it.

He shook off the pain, spinning and aiming Fury at the monster, spearing him through the chest before twisting the weapon up and slamming the back end into the ground again, impaling the goblin further before it dissipated into digital dust.

New message.

"I can help."

Aaron walked in behind Cash and the others, Fury holstered across his back, hands dangling at his sides. His ear (while healed) hadn't regained the chunk of flesh that had been cut out. Damn realism.

"I'm accustomed to fighting at the front, and my armor type means I can move faster and dodge easier."

Relief flooded through Izzy upon hearing Haunt's words. She felt herself beginning to calm down, and managed to look up at him and speak with a slightly-less shaky voice."I've been working on it for a few years now, so it isn't as bad as it used to be..." she said, before her eyes snapped back to the ground and she fought back a blush. "And, um... I promise to do everything I can to keep you safe... for what that's worth."Her panic attacks always hit her when she felt like she couldn't do anything about a situation she didn't like. But in SAO, if she leveled up and got stronger, she could help Haunt and anyone else survive. She wouldn't be forced to watch as people died. She looked up at Haunt again, recomposed. With a small, shy smile, she said "I guess we should make our way to the next town. We can try to level up on the way."

IC: Aaron nodded and smiled before turning to look toward the edge of town, Fury appearing in his right hand. "Sounds like a plan. Let me just..."

He turned his attention back to her, leaning on his spear, his smile returning. "Whenever you're ready to go, let's move out."

OOC: Sorry about this being so short...
I'm back. Sorry guys, was gone to DC/Chantilly and RPGuild won't work with my mobile network.
IC: Panic attacks...

That was a liability. If she had one at a critical moment... Aaron slapped himself mentally. What was he doing? If he left her and she died, he'd never get over it... And besides, there was something about her...

His hand twitched at his side, one part of him wanting to put it on her shoulder reassuringly, the other telling him that it'd probably only make her anxiety worse.

"Running away isn't anything to be ashamed of, not in the mess we're in right now, and I'm not a tank so I can probably get away... Just try not to do it at a critical moment, okay?"

OOC: Sorry about the long wait for a short post, school started back for me today and I'm stressed.
IC: Aaron saw a familiar face and jumped down from the statue, the impact sending shudders through his feet and into his lower legs.

Ordinarily, he'd be praising the game for its realism, but given the circumstances... He shook his head, smiling slightly as he and Izzy met again. "Sorry about the noise, and the theatrics, I just... I had to do something. Glad I didn't scare you completely away."

He looked down for a few seconds, clearly lost in thought, before speaking again. "We need to get stronger, if we want to make it out of this alive. The way I see it, small parties have the best of both worlds... They level nearly as quickly as solo players but they have someone watching their back."

His left hand moved to scratch the back of his head, eyes flicking up to look at Izzy. "What I'm trying to ask is... Do you want to be my partner for clearing the game?"
I'll post soon, I've actually been working on side plot stuff yaaaaaay
