Fish of OblivionVery simply, it was the end. Ironically, it had not come in the form of a new virus or flaming stones falling from the sky, it had come in the form of a small fifteen year old girl at a McDonald's table in Etowah, Tennessee.
She'd caught a spoon falling off a table.
With her mind.
As if that was the trigger the floodgates were looking for, these events started popping up all over, and classical views of science and human nature crumbled. Not everyone had the same control, however.
The deaths mounted as some of these people tried to take power for themselves, and the governments acted. “Deviants,” as the super powered beings were called, were outlawed, forced into military service, or killed depending on the country. The deviants fought back.
Now, as the world is torn apart from within and the conflict reaches a new head near the cradle of civilization, is your story. Welcome to the End of Days.
Setting: The world is in ruins, destroyed by the never ending war. The Etowah Incident happened 15 years ago, and small terrorist strikes evolved into full fledged combat, destroying much of the world. Play will primarily be limited to the fictional city of Antire in the Middle East, one of the few remaining bastions of civilization. Relative peace exists here, with the most happening being small skirmishes.
The Hole in the Wall: A small bar crammed between two ruined department stores in the west of the city, the Hole in the Wall is a common meeting place for the more peaceful deviant residents. The owner is a woman named Synthia Albright, a deviant sympathizer. Recently a man wearing a white suit and speaking of something in the desert has taken up residence here.
Richardson's Last Stand: A squat building to the east of the city named in honor of a general who was killed here by deviants, this is the main base of the army forces. Colonel Sutherland, commander.
Don't go here as a Deviant and try to take it out without an army backing you up. They're trained for this.

Rules:
Don't be a ninny, listen to the staff (me XD) and pay attention to the site rules. I assume I don't have to explain what these are and why we don't bunny, gmod, or metagame. I'm gonna try not to use the hammer of obvious rules, so don't make me regret it.
Also, murdering without permission is bad.
I don't care too much about romance, I like writing it myself. I do, however, care about the RP. If I feel that you're becoming inappropriate, there's this little thing called a timeskip. Blur it. Fade to black.
Respect other players, please.

Current Events: The army is searching for something in the desert, rumored to be linked to the origin of the Deviants. Interested parties should see Colonel Sutherland or the man wearing a white coat in the Hole in the Wall.

Age: 31
Species: Very weak deviant.
Faction: Deviant sympathizer.
Powers/Skills: Synthia can do exactly one thing. She can guide light objects, like a paper airplane, through the air.
As far as physical abilities go, Synthia is surprisingly strong for her size and can make food like no one's business.
Appearance:
Personality: Caring but rough, Synthia often accidentally hurts those she seeks to help. However, get past the brusqueness and you'll have found yourself a true ally.
Weaknesses: Synthia's power isn't much good except for guiding a patron's bill to him or her.
Other information: The owner and bartender of the Hole in the Wall, Synthia's past is very much a mystery, though she certainly seems to want to help the deviants in their fight for rights.
Name: Colonel Thaddeus Sutherland
Age: 52
Species: Human
Faction: Army
Powers/Skills: No powers, but the Colonel is a crack shot and still in top physical shape, despite his age.
An expert strategist and planner.
Appearance:
Personality: The Colonel is actually a very nice guy, if you bleed red, white and blue and that blood is pure human. It's no secret that he hates deviants with a passion unmatched.
Weaknesses: He's an ordinary human.
Other information: The leader of the military forces, the Colonel lost his daughter and wife to a deviant strike. Since then, he's given no quarter, no mercy, and not a second thought.
