Would anyone be interested in reviving this? I believe it would be fascinating and worthwhile.
Arzhang's journey to Kallokian had been a long and grueling one. He had traveled for days on end, battling against the elements, and struggling to keep himself and his caravan alive. The bandits on the road were just the icing on the cake. It was a miracle that he had managed to outsmart them and keep his belongings. He had been fortunate enough to have some tricks up his sleeve, and he was able to convince the bandits that he had nothing of value to offer them.

As he arrived in the city, Arzhang was immediately struck by the crowds and the noise. It was all too common and unremarkable. He couldn't help but feel a bit nauseous as he navigated the bustling trade center with its six docking bays. It was a far cry from the exotic, mystical places he had imagined in his dreams. Kallokian was just like any other trade center, with nothing particularly remarkable about it.

Arzhang had heard about the Milov airship and thought it might offer some excitement, something he desperately craved in this dreary city. He had grown tired of the mundane, monotonous routine of life on the road, and he longed for something new and exciting. Perhaps the airship was just what he needed to inject some excitement into his life. As he walked towards the docking bays, he couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation. He was eager to see what awaited him on the airship and what adventures he would embark on.

The young demon arrived at the docks and noticed a large crowd gathering near the docking bay. He wondered what could be causing such a commotion, but he didn't feel the need to join the crowd and find out. Instead, he leaned against a nearby wall and began to think about his decision to come to Kallokian.

He had hoped that joining the Milov airship crew would bring him excitement and adventure, but so far, he had only faced hardship and disappointment. Arzhang knew that the work on the airship would be difficult and demanding, but he was willing to do whatever it took to make a name for himself in this world. As he stood there lost in thought, the noise and bustle of the docks began to fade away. Arzhang was determined to make the most of his opportunity on the Milov airship, but he couldn't help but wonder if he had made the right choice.

This roleplay takes inspiration from two other roleplays found through searching the forum: "Ember to Ashes" and "The Rime of the Frostmaiden". Unfortunately, it seems that both of these roleplays have come to an end.

THE SETTING


The birth of the World's Avatar (the last Major Arcana) is a rare and awe-inspiring event that occurs only once every few thousand years. It is the embodiment of the world's magic, an individual whose arrival signifies a new era of change and potential for the entire world. The Avatar is believed to possess the power to bring unity and balance to the world, and their very existence is seen as a sign of hope for humanity.

Their arrival is always met with great celebration, as people from all walks of life flock to see the Avatar and offer their support. The birth of the Avatar is a momentous occasion, as they are seen as the key to unlocking a better future for all.

However, despite their significance, the birth of the Avatar is also a time of great danger. There are those who fear the Avatar's power and seek to use it for their own purposes. These individuals and groups will stop at nothing to control the Avatar and harness their power for their own gain, leading to a struggle for control that could have far-reaching consequences for the entire world.

Frosthold, the Kingdom of the North is facing a pivotal moment. A secret organization, the Midnight Conclave, led by the formidable Auril, is tightening its grip on power through control of Major and Minor Arcana. At the same time, the arrival of the newborn World Avatar, a symbol of magic and hope, has sparked a struggle for control as those seeking to harness its power challenge Auril's rule.

Auril, the Avatar of the High Priestess Major Arcana, embodies intuition and mystery. However, her desire for control led her down a dark path and she now leads Midnight Conclave with an iron fist, using divination magic and manipulation to achieve her ultimate goal of controlling the World Avatar and ruling humanity.

As the struggle for control unfolds, players can align with either the resistance movement fighting against Midnight Conclave or the Conclave's agents seeking to control the World Avatar. They will face challenges, meet diverse characters and shape the fate of the Kingdom of the North and possibly the world. The story is filled with magic, mystery, and intrigue, and the outcome will determine the future of this complex and dangerous world.

RULES

Character Creation Guidelines:

In this roleplay, the Major Arcana are 22 powerful beings that are avatars of spirits that have guided humanity. The Minor Arcana, on the other hand, are magical items such as weapons, instruments or utensils that are infused with magic. Unlike the Major Arcana, characters do not embody the Minor Arcana, but they may have the ability to wield them to achieve specific goals or perform certain tasks. The Minor Arcana represents the day-to-day aspects of life and is seen as a tool to aid the Major Arcana in achieving their goals.

1. Major Arcana Status: Not all characters need to be a part of the Major Arcana. If your character is, please specify their unique powers and societal standing.
2. Minor Arcana Status: Like Major Arcana, not all characters possess a Minor Arcana. If your character does, describe its specific abilities and how they incorporate it into their daily life.
3. Magic: Magic exists in this world, regardless of whether a character is a Major Arcana or not. However, Major Arcana have more specific powers.
4. Background: Give a description of where your character grew up and their allegiances to any kingdoms. Will they support the Midnight Conclave or those who oppose them?
5. Age: All players must be 18 years or older. If your character is underage, reflect this in the Character Sheet and keep it appropriate for minors.
6. Themes: The roleplay may involve mature themes such as extreme violence and romance, but romance is only allowed between characters who are 18 years or older.
7. Character Sheet: Make sure to include all relevant information in the Character Sheet such as name, age, gender, sexuality, appearance, personality, background story, Major Arcana description (if applicable), Minor Arcana description (if applicable), miscellaneous information, and alignment (neutral, good, evil, lawful, chaotic combinations).

You're quick! I like Arzhang as a character, especially his goal of not necessarily becoming rich, but more or less just being surrounded by riches as a butler och waiter. One thing I wanted to ask, however, is how joining the MILOV would aid him in achieving his goal. The MILOV is not the fanciest place and working there is about as far from a luxurious job and lifestyle as they come. Is it that the MILOV was sort of his last resort or was there another specific reason why he joined the delivery airship? Other than that, great! He has the flaws of being physically weak and lazy which are complemented by his feats of charisma and confidence. I look forward to seeing how he fares on the laborious life in the sky!


He joined the MILOV as a strategic move, as the more upscale employers rejected him due to his limited experience. Despite its lack of prestige, the MILOV's size provides a valuable travel experience that can enhance his resume, including exposure to different cultures and the opportunity to visit numerous destinations. This international experience could be attractive to future employers. Oh, and his slothful ways are sure to create a wild ride for the character. Let's just hope he can use his charisma to talk his way out of sticky situations, or else he may find himself taking an extended nap in a foreign jail. Yikes!
