It would be interesting to see how sentients would act, if they exist by then, to the smashing of 2 moons. Of which will most likely result in meteorites crashing into the planets.
But hey, at least it will look pretty from space!

The reason I said "the" moon is because too many will throw the tides out of wack, unless they are very small.
Since I'm already writing my post: I'll ask you guys for input. Many small moons, or one big-ass one like Earth's (which has an abnormally large moon for its size)?
Why not just a few medium sized ones?
Zephyrion could summon up a storm that constantly rains, filling the oceans/lakes/rivers with water.
