Darlene listened to Alex's explanation on holy water and took a drop for her ax. "Thanks," she said graciously. She really did have a lot to learn and was relieved that her teammates were so capable.

"As soon as this mission is over, I definitely need to study up... I just hope I live long enough to get to that point."

Edge also had things to say and she listened diligently. Soon enough, they have arrived at the scene of the crime. Edge found a switch that revealed an entrance. He went on ahead, making sure it was safe then called for the rest of them to follow him, single file. Darlene followed behind James and took a deep breath.
Why had she decided to become a hunter? To prove a point? To show that she can? Because her father didn't let her? None of those sounded quite right. She didn't have much time to answer as more people began to pop up. Maybe even all of them were already here. They all looked like they were capable and had some impressive sounding resumes. She ducked her head, feeling less confident in herself. She was a complete novice compared to them all and only had rough, basic training from a secondary source.

But that was why she was here: To improve and get stronger. She did her best not to let her lack of experience bring her down and listened to what the mission was. They get to go to Paris, though it wasn't going to be a glamorous trip. They were going to the Catacombs and fight some undeads. There were a lot of them and there were mages among them, so Darlene felt somewhat safer.

The mission had just started and there already were problems arising about what their strategy was going to be. James was being kind of snobbish and bossy, Mr. Hellsing seemed a bit shaken up by the circumstances yet still determined, Eisen was trying to add in his two cents, and everyone else seemed to be waiting for clearer instructions.

Actually, it was settled quicker than Darlene expected. She followed the rest of them through the gate, feeling quite strange. "Turns out I'm not much of a fan of it either," she muttered under her breath. It did not help that the place smelled like well... her brothers after they came back from playing mud football but ten times worse. She held her breath for a moment, trying to block out the smell but gave up quickly.

Sorry, I just got home. Will try to post soon.
Emi Sugihara

Emi suddenly felt a familiar warmth, though it was slightly different this time. It was indubitably Hisoka's aura, though this time it was more reassuring and gentle. Did he somehow notice that she was worried about him? Regardless, she could not see it going well for him. He already seemed to be pissing Matsuoka off.

Would it be weird if she cheered for him? Yes, yes, it would be so she wasn't going to. But she did send him a soft breeze to let him know that she got his message.

She overheard Damien saying something about flying too close to the son, a reference to Icarus. He had a point; Hisoka's confidence was overwhelming at times and really could be setting him up for failure. But at the same time...

"Maybe the world needs more people like that. People who think they can do anything because if there aren't, we would never go beyond our limits and grow as a whole."

She didn't even realize she was speaking out loud until she heard herself. Covering her mouth quickly, she felt embarrassed for saying something so cheesy and preachy. Maybe they hadn't heard her....? She really, really, really hoped not.

When Eisen began to voice his concern over her lack of proper armor, Darlene felt the blood rush to her cheeks, more so from embarrassment than anger. He was right, but then again, she wasn't really expecting this. She was a Beast Hunter, and even more specifically a Werewolf Hunter at that. Still, she really wished she had something more suitable than this. "I know, I know," she sighed, playing with her ponytail nervously. "Thanks for your concern."

Maybe he tried to make her feel better because then he started talking about her strengths instead. Or he could just be very matter-of-factly. Either way, she was kind of flattered.

"I'll do my best."

She held onto her ax, moving it around a little and enjoying how it felt in her hand. It did not seem like much, but she has trained a lot with it. Should hunters be allowed to be sentimental? Maybe in the future, she'll get a better ax or weapon, but damn did she love her ax. She began to twirl it as if it was a flag or rifle of a high school color guard. It was a habit she had when she was anxious. Fortunately for the rest of her teammates when they arrive, she hasn't dropped it since... well... she doesn't want to think about the last time she dropped it. It was definitely not pretty.

"But seriously... where is everyone?"
Emi Sugihara

Before Emi knew it, they were already on campus. And apparently they already were going to have some matches. "Yay, because fighting and jet lag is a great combination," she sighed to herself. Hisoka was already being excited about fighting one of the strongest person in the school. "He probably is going to show off some more," she thought, but could not help but be a little bit concern about her house mate.

Before she could say anything though or wish him luck, he was already walking with Matsuoka-san, getting ready for his fight. "Oh well, I'm sure he'll be fine...right?"

She followed the others to get a good seat to watch the match. There were already some buzz going on about how Hisoka was going to get crushed or something since Matsuoka was so strong or something like that. Emi clenched her fist, a bit annoyed though she didn't understand why. It's not like she knew him well enough to care. Maybe she already considered him a friend or perhaps it's because they are going to be living together for the rest of their time here. Either way, she cared much to her dismay.

"Spain? How exotic," she said, her eyes starting to shut. She was already mentally exhausted from the trip; maybe she could afford to rest just for a little moment...

Guess not. Eisen had alerted her to start getting ready and the announcement only supported the idea that she should be getting ready. She didn't really have any armor and all she really had was her ax. This was going to be tough, wasn't it? She was a bit worried, especially when staring at Eisen who had a complete set of armor on with heavy protection. However she had no intention of dying so quickly.

She clutched the charm that her mother had given her; something that was passed down her family for generations as a symbol of good luck and safety. She was not one to pray, but it helped ease her nerves.

Eisen had left quickly without waiting for her. "I guess he's really excited? But we could have at least gone together," she frowned. But now she could change in peace.

She changed into her work out clothes for now. Maybe as the year progress she will be able to get more equipment. It was not like her father was going to help her out at all with that. She tied her long brown hair into a tight ponytail. She put on her combat boots and made her way to the Leyline Gate, or whatever it was called. Eileen was already there, but it was just the two of them for now.

"Hey teammate, are you ready? Excited to meet the rest of the team?" she asked with a small smile.
@coolbro

"Nice to meet you too, Eisen," she said, shaking his hands as well. It was a firm handshake, but she wasn't about to be outdone. She held his hand as firmly as he did hers. "I'm from Texas, in the United States of 'Merica. What about yourself?"

She took a seat on one of the beds. "Hope you don't mind, but I claimed this bed as my own." She was already unpacked but she wasn't sure what to do next. They were going to have their first mission soon but she didn't know where to go. Maybe Eisen would have a better idea of what was going on. She laid back, making herself comfortable while she waited for him to finish unpacking.

It was too early to know, but Eisen seemed like a decent guy. She could have been living with some worse creep. Hopefully they would get along just fine. Oh, that probably means they are probably on the same team too. She wondered who else was going to be on their team.
Emi Sugihara

"Hold up... I'm living with a boy? Emi freaked out silently. "Why do I get the feeling that this is going to be incredibly awkward?"

Despite her initial shock, it seemed that all the pairings were co-ed. She wondered why she was paired up with Hisoka. It was probably due to their elements. He was fire and she was air. Fire needs air to burn, right? She sighed, still a bit shaken up by these turn of events. She was going to have some house rules if they were going to be living together, that was for sure.

She found Hisoka already on the bus and took a seat next to him. "I guess we're living together for the next few years...Yay..." she said to him, and could not help but be sarcastic in the end. She didn't want to be mean and it was not like she did not like the guy, but she really wasn't sure how she felt about these arrangements.
Darlene was fiddling around with her ax when someone opened the door. She was a bit startled when a guy just walked into the room, and for a moment gripped her ax tightly, in case it was an intruder. But then the guy started to unpack his stuff, completely ignoring her existence entirely. "Co-ed rooming? Really? Well it's not that bad. I've lived with 4 brothers my entire life, but still..." she thought to herself.

"Uh, hello?" she said, trying to get his attention. "I'm guessing you're my roommate?" She ran her fingers through her hair awkwardly. She was not really much of a people person, and was not really expecting a male roommate. He better not try to pull anything while she was asleep or else he will definitely get his arms chopped off. Though she didn't think she would have a problem with him; he looked harmless enough.

"I'm Darlene. Beast Hunter. You?" she asked once she got his attention. She extended her hand towards him, offering to shake his hand.
