Kalani Solle

Bride of Cuwarr Naxremis and Sister-bride to Sorici Amberra

Kalani could understand where Sorici was coming from, but she didn't necessarily agree with her. On the other hand, it was a pleasant surprise that Sorici had actually talked back to her. As the two were walking down the steps, Kalani answered,"I actually like him. He is strange but I think I could learn to love him." She then blushed lightly, feeling a bit embarrassed by her own words.

The two gems were soon spotted by their husband. He began to play his flute again as he approached them. This time it was a sweeter, more gentle melody. Was this going to be a thing? Not that Kalani minded. She had failed to understand his weird metaphor about birds but offered her husband a smile. "Thank you, mi'lord," she said, under the impression that he was complimenting them.

The trio continued down the stairs together rather cheerfully and walked towards the dining room. A few Draakens were already there with their brides. Some brides seemed worse off than the others and Kalani could not help but pity them. At the same time, she had reached a jarringly obvious realization. With Cuwarr, she had forgotten that she was merely a prize that he had won. This was not supposed to be a marriage of love, but sacrifice. Yet he had treated them so kindly; she doesn't know what to feel. Did she only like him because he was not cruel as of so far? Because it was the only thing to do as she has no other choice? Maybe Sorici was right after all. Kalani didn't know what to think.

She sat down in the chair that Cuwarr had pulled out for her and Sorici. "Thank you, mi'lord," she said politely before grabbing some food. She wasn't feeling very hungry, but at least got some fruits. When she took her first bite, the sweet taste of the pears had made her crave something more salty and she could feel her appetite returning. She ate more and began to reach for some rolls that she had sampled earlier this morning in their chamber.

Her husband had spoken about something big that was going to happen and Kalani was a bit suspicious. She had followed his gaze only to have it land an empty chair. "I wonder what he's talking about. Perhaps he is speaking in his weird metaphors again," she thought to herself, though she wasn't going to let her guard down this time.
Oh I have another question, sorry. So Sorici is going to be out of the picture right? Should that affect my post now? Or will there be an event where she and other characters get killed?
@Ellion

I'll just say that I'm here. I'll have a post written and keep it on hold until we settle things though. (the post probably won't even be finished til this weekend anyways since I'm at school from like 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. because stupid night labs)
Before I work on my Kalani post, can I ask if we are moving this to a new thread or not?
Oh, I know I'm not super active because of my heavy school work load, but I'm here too. And I would also not prefer a restart. I'm okay with killing off characters if need be to 'clean' things up. And now that Aria had posted, I'm freed up to post again so yay.
Kaffir Lycaste

It was the beginning of the school year, but that didn't mean anything to Kaffir. He wasn't planning on attending his classes despite his parents' concerns. He knew that they meant well, but he just couldn't take it anymore. It was hard enough being a teenage boy, but being an alien teenage boy made things even worse. They didn't understand what was bothering him, but he could see the way they looked at him and he knew what they thought. He was a freak and he wasn't one of them. So why pretend?

He was sitting down in a dark, but familiar alley. While his species generally preferred sitting out in the sunlight, he didn't want to risk getting caught by the police. This was their spot and everyone who was anyone knew it. He was throwing a rubber ball that he had found in his room earlier that day. The ball would hit the wall and return back to his hand. If he had miscalculated, his vines would help him catch it and allowed him to continue what he was doing.

They didn't always do much nor did they always say much but they didn't need to. Sometimes he wondered why they all hung out. But in a way, they were the same and they had reached some unspoken understanding. It was definitely something he needed in his life.

"Hey Hali," he said absentmindedly, breaking the silence. "Isn't your birthday coming up soon? Did you want to do something?"

"Do me and Eli have to get you a present or something?" he half-joked as he threw the rubber ball at his robot friend.
Name:
Kaffir Lycaste

Age:
14

Appearance:
Kaffir would probably be able to pass as a human, if his skin wasn't green and he had vines randomly growing out of his body. His eyes are green as well. He is rather skinny, as is expected from his species and stands at about 5"6. He also has dark brown hair that is rough to touch. Well, it's not really hair but it's easier to call it as such.

Bio:
Kaffir is a first-generation Earth inhabitant. His parents traveled a long way to reach Earth ever since their energy source had burnt out and were looking to start a new life. Kaffir never got to know what his homeland was like but he doesn't really care. He considers himself an Earthling through and through, but the rest of the planet doesn't seem to share that sentiment. Ever since he had started going to school, he realized he wasn't like the other kids. They often made fun of him for being different. Then he began to notice how unfairly he and his parents were treated because of what they were. He was angry, but what could he do about it? So he joined the wrong crowd filled with other misfits that did whatever they wanted. The world didn't care about them, so why should they care about the world?

Species:
Viridian: Advanced, peaceful plant-like humanoids that rely on light as their energy source. They do not need to eat if they have light as they can photosynthesize, but sometimes they could eat other small vegetation to get the nutrients they need. They left their home world when their equivalent of our sun had burnt out. They have traveled far to other systems in search of a safe place to live. (They have their own culture and religion but that can be developed more later on.)
Aliens, Robots, Cookies

What if humans weren’t alone in the universe?

Well, we aren’t, so deal with it.

The world is filled with other sentient life, which is great and all, but did it really have to come here? Of course, some of it was created on Earth: the robots. But they were never meant to achieve the same status as real humans. And then, there were the aliens from distant galaxies. They have come to Earth to escape some “awful thing” or whatever. So we have kindly granted them access to our planet. But now, they think they can run around freely and use all our resources and take our jobs, as if they belonged here. As if they owned the place.

Here’s how it is, and how it should always be: we humans own this planet. This is our world. Aliens? Robots? Flying spaghetti monsters? Sure. But they’re visitors, not citizens. And they need to remember who’s in charge.

---

In the future, robots are sentient and aliens have come to Earth. But not all humans have come to terms with the situation, and most have come to the conclusion that aliens and robots are second-class Earthians. Faced with such widespread discrimination, what will our intrepid heroes do?

This is a private, casual RP between me @Karamonnom, @Orynae, and @Nytem4re. We're pretty much just goofing off but some sort of story will come from this, hopefully.
I just don't want the jungle group to get too far ahead of the other group; since we are relatively fast posters apparently :P
